Description of Work: I have an annual maintence contract with them to maintain the HVAC system at a retail space. They provide a quarterly service to change the filters and monitor the system. They have also installed two HVAC systems at this location. When issues have arisen, they have been responsive to make the necessary repairs.

Description of Work: I've used the Dring Air Conditioning/Heating company for 20 years or more and have always found them to be professional and responsive when I've contacted them. In fact, they sold and installed my current heater/air conditioner several years ago. For years I have paid a yearly maintence fee, which has increased from approximately $100 to $150. I pay this fee because I believe it's better to maintain equipment rather than waiting for a problem to develop that could have been avoided. In the Spring, I call and make an appointment for a serviceman to come to the house to check and clean the air conditioner to make sure it's going to run smoothly during the summer. Then, in the Fall, I call again for a serviceman to come back to the house to check out the heater. As previously stated, I've used Dring for a long time because I have been able to rely upon them when needed. Several years ago, my air conditioner before the current one stopped working on a 100 degree Saturday. I called Dring thinking I'd probably have to wait until Monday for a serviceman, but they were able to schedule me that day and get the air conditioner working.

Description of Work: My older heating unit failed in a spell of very cold weather. Dring made a timely appointment and arrived when they said they would. Repair was quick and fair. The gentlemen servicing my unit was very professional. I will definately call Dring again.

Alberto was very pleasant to deal with. He explained the problem. After the work was finished he brought us outside and described exactly what he had corrected. He also informed us how to proceed if the compressor should break down: warranty is 10 years, contact original installer and be prepared to pay for the installation service.
Description of Work: 3-year old outdoor Air Conditioning unit was making loud, vibrating noises. Contractor who originally installed unit for previous home owner had failed to solve problem in spite of numerous service calls during the last year. Alberto from Dring found that there was too much ''Puron'' in the system. Unit was not just pumping gas but also liquid, hence the vibrations. Refrigerant amount was adjusted to proper level. Further adjustments were made also on indoor unit where parts had been improperly installed. Work took several hours to complete - the problem was corrected - we now have a quiet A/C unit. Pumping ''liquid'' refrigerant can damage the compressor and we have to keep our fingers crossed for the next 7 years when factory warranty expires.

ON TIME. DID NOT EXPLAIN FURNACE OPTIONS (A FLUE % OR STAGES). TRIED TO SELL ZONED SYSTEM. THIS SYSTEM WAS 6 TIMES MORE EXPENSIVE, AND THE OTHER FIRM I OBTAINED A QUOTE FROM SAID IT WAS NOT NECESSARY. DID NOT DO A THOROUGH JOB OF EVALUATING DUCTS. JUST STOOD IN ONE PLACE, AND LOOKED AT THE DUCTS. THE OTHER FIRM I CONSIDERED, LOOKED AT MULTIPLE SECTIONS OF DUCTS. WENT WITH OTHER FIRM.
Description of Work: GOT A QUOTE TO REPLACE A FURNACE FOR A HOUSE. ALSO ASKED THEM TO LOOK AT THE DUCTS TO SEE IF THEY NEEDED REPLACING.

THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND POLITE. THEY WORKED VERY NEATLY AND CLEANED UP THEIR MESS. THE GUY EVEN USED A VACUUM ON MY CARPET. MY JOB WAS A BIT TOUGH, BECAUSE THEY HAD TO TAKE APART THE OLD FURNACE, AND BRING IT DOWN FROM THE ATTIC, AND THEN INSTALL THE NEW ONE. WHILE WORKING, THEY ACCIDENTALLY CUT A WIRE FOR MY ALARM SYSTEM, AND THEY REIMBURSED ME FOR THE REPAIR WITH NO HASSLE. IT WAS A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE.

THE SERVICEMAN WAS KIND AND SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING DURING THE FIRST VISIT. THE SECOND TIME WE CALLED THEY SCHEDULED A SERVICEMAN TO COME THE NEXT MORNING. HE WAS SCHEDULED TO ARRIVE AT 8 AM. I FINALLY RECEIVED A PHONE CALL AT 8:45 SAYING THAT HE WAS HELD UP IN TRAFFIC AND THEY DID NOT KNOW WHEN HE WOULD ARRIVE. I CANCELLED THE APPT BECAUSE I COULDN'T WAIT FOR HIM TO ARRIVE. THEY DID OFFER TO RESCHEDULE. HOWEVER, WE USED A DIFFERENT COMPANY THROUGH OUR HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE.
Description of Work: WE CALLED DRING TWICE. THE FIRST TIME OUR HEATER WAS NOT WORKING AND THEY CAME VERY QUICKLY (SAME DAY). THEY REPLACED THE IGNITER AND WARNED US THAT OUR INDUCER MOTOR WAS NOISY AND IT COULD GO OUT LATER IN THE SEASON. WE ALSO SIGNED ON WITH THEIR MAINTENANCE PROGRAM.
