Said I had a slab leak under my master bath tub. Paid half up front to dig tunnel under house and repair. They dug the tunnel only to tell me that there was no leak. Turns out the leak was in the sprinkler system and not close to where they dug. Still expect me to pay for tunnel - ridiculous.

Response from Carrollton Plumbing Service
I came to Ms. [Member Name Removed]'s house on a Monday morning and she directed me to the side of her house and I saw that her ground was soggy wet. I told her she probably has a slab leak and what we charge to locate her leak. I told her that part of the process would be to eliminate the irrigation system as the leak source and her main water supply as the leak source first. Ms. [Member Name Removed] decided to hire My Local Plumber to locate her water leak instead of us. My Local Plumber determined she has a slab leak under the bathroom on that side of the house where the soil was so wet. My Local Plumber gave her an estimate for the repair. I did a follow up call with her and she then informed me that the leak had been located by another plumber and it was somewhere in the bathroom on the side of the house where the soil was wet outside of the house. I was able to quickly give her a price on that repair based on the other plumber's diagnosis. She hired me to do the repair based on their locate. When we tunneled under the house 6 feet we determined there was no leak under the house. Of course this made no sense to me so now I started my own leak detection process and within 5 minutes discovered her leak was on her irrigation system. Like I said this should have been one of the first things a plumbing company should do if they really know how to do leak detection. Actually Ms. [Member Name Removed] only paid for 1/2 of the tunnel expense. I never billed her for the second half because she was blaming me for this outcome and I did not want to make matters worse. I don't blame her for being mad but her anger is directed at the wrong company. This is the problem with homeowners hiring one company to locate and another company to do the repairs. This is not the first time I have performed repairs based on another companies diagnosis and locate only to find the other company was wrong. I am sorry this happened to Ms. [Member Name Removed] and I know this would not have happened to her if she would have hired Carrollton Plumbing Service to locate her leak.

Owner Ken Lefler told me "[I'm] lucky [he] doesn't kick my a**" while standing in my home after I refused to pay $538/hr for his crew's work. I instead offered a more reasonable amount that would stand up in small claims court ($307/hr for the labor), especially as no estimate was provided and I had agreed to nothing. I ended up calling the police to get him out of my home after I asked him to leave and he threatened me. Earlier that afternoon, two plumbers came to my home to work on a short list of repairs. They were friendly and capable, but no estimate or rates were discussed. They completed the requested work within 1 hour 20 minutes of arriving. Some of the work was perfect, most was incomplete, some will require hiring a different company to fully finish. They went back to their vehicle and called the boss to figure out the bill, and wrote up an invoice for $700 for the 1 hour 20 minutes of work!!! This is about $269/hr for each of the two plumbers, or $538/hr for the pair. I refused to pay that full amount, and instead wrote a check $400 total for the 1 hour 20 minutes they spent. It was pure labor, as I supplied all parts for the work. They called the owner Ken who came to my home to inspect and negotiate, and this ended with the police coming by. Unbelievably bad situation, owner, pricing, and experience. Tops very lousy dealing I've had with a vendor in my life. On the plus side, they were able to come out the same day and I would have been happy if not for the price gouging and threat from the owner.
Description of Work: 1 hour 20 minutes worth of miscellaneous plumbing work (snake a tub drain, install a garbage disposal I provided, attempted to clean out a dryer vent but advised me to hire a chimney sweep or HVAC company for better results, did a rough fix on some plumbing in a tub that I was happy with) by team plumbers who came to my home.

Unprofessional at best. Would not use, would not recommend. They did not provide the service because they we not registered in the city we requested.
Description of Work: Although the website and the person answering the phone stated that they service the city which we requested them to do the work in, they in fact WERE NOT registered in that city and would not bother to update their registration for a week and a half according to Joshua who answers the phones. [Estimate Cost $400.00]

Our neighbor recommended them. My impression was positive. They showed up when expected. They were professional, courteous and took their shoes off. They came twice. They came one day to make an assessment. He did not have his equipment otherwise he would have repaired it on the spot. He came the next morning. He was efficient. He took his shoes off entering the house.
Description of Work: I used Carrollton Plumbing Service for water heaters. They replaced an old one with a brand new one.

I recently took out a new policy called Service Line Warranties of America, since my home was built in 1984 and was getting concerned about the pipes in the yard. They dispatched Carrollton Plumbing Service within 24 hours who did a great job and fixed this problem so efficiently and it was not easy in the freezing cold weather yesterday morning. They are a family owned business the young man informed me and I would certainly hire them in the future when I need any type of plumbing work done. This job was covered completely by my warranty though.
Description of Work: I had a slow leak on the outside on the corner of the front of my home that I had just notice recently. It was saturating a large area of my flower bed and yard. In that bitter cold weather yesterday Carrollton Plumbing Service fixed it completely in a matter of hours.

They were prompt on both the diagnosis visit and the actual work visit. They called the day before to discuss the work to be done and scheduled the date and time. They arrived when they said they would and had all the parts and tools necessary. They covered the carpet to avoid damage and did the work in a timely fashion.
Description of Work: I had two 50gal gas water heaters in the attic that worked in tandem. One developed a problem with the gas regulator. On the diagnosis visit, we discussed the alternatives that included replacing both tanks with a tankless water heater, repairing the bad heater, do nothing except adjust the heat on the heater that worked (which they did and solved the problem on a temporary basis), and by-pass the bad heater by having the water flow directly into and out of the good heater. I selected the last alternative and additionally had them remove the faulty heater.
