Outstanding. great price. Great service. Very punctual, very nice technicians who came out. Clean and neat - took care of the house while doing the work -- no mess, no damage to house etc. Extremely knowledgeable. Explained everything. Followed up a week later to make sure everything was performing well. First contractor I would think of for any future work (AC / Heating).

He called before arriving and actually beat me there. He diagnosed the problem very quickly and was able to fix it the same day. He showed me where the previous repair person had used an inferior method of connecting a pipe on the inside unit. He removed what the previous person did and replaced it using the recommended way. Both my inside and outside units were replaced by previous repair person and I have always felt the system was not functioning properly. It never seemed to cool quite right in the summer and never seemed to heat quite right during the winter even though the units were new. After bringing the guy out serveral times, I finally gave up and called someone else. Once the guy from Calahan was finished, I could immediately tell the system was functioning properly. He sent me a text the following day just to check that everything was still okay and I was happy to report for the first time that it was. I was very pleased with the work, professionalism and all around work ethic of Calahan Construction and Air.

Desmond was on the dot on time and wonderful, so professional and knowledgable! He assessed our unit and realized the problem immediately, we were thrilled with him!!!

I thought had already submitted this.....Forgive me if it a duplicate. The company far exceeded my expectations. The price was great, the service was as exceptional. Every aspect of this installation was as professional as could be. The gentlemen who actually did the work arrived on time, were neat, polite, thorough. There was no doubt they knew their trade. When bringing trades people to the house, one always expects to be "sold". Even though the price on this sale was an amazing bargain at no point did they try to convince me to purchase any item or service. While examining the air-exchanger, the employee noted my furnace cover was loose, and proceeded to tighten it although this was clearly not part of his task at hand. I was impressed. I recommend this company with no reservation. I was suscpicious of the reviews of this company. They were too good. After this experience I see clearly they have earned every one of the accolades.

They determined that the problem was a faulty thermostat inside my house. They had a replacement programmable thermostat with them on their truck and installed it quickly. Problem solved.

These guys did really great! They were able to install a brand new unit, exactly when we needed it, and for a fair price. We felt like other places that are specialized air conditioning companies were charging too much and we were right. We got better Seer unit and a better warranty for a much better price. They took proper care not to mess up the place and they cleaned up well at the end too.

This is the 2nd time we've used Calahan constructions. They are now our 'go to' air con and heating company. Very responsive and reliable.

I needed a new one, and the cost difference between what he was charging me and what the other company was charging me is huge.

Over Christmas, the pilot light went out on my heater. When we tried to re-light it, it wouldn't stay lit. I bought a big deal off Angie's List for a heater inspection and diagnostic check. The people from Calahan, called and set up an appointment. They arrived promptly and diagnosed the problem. The tech actually attempted to save me money by replacing my valve with a used one first, but when he couldn't do that, he went and got a new one and replaced it quickly. He told me exactly how much the new valve would cost before leaving to get the new one. The price seemed reasonable and I agreed to it. I assumed that was the price of the part with no labor. It turned out to be the total price! It was a very good experience. I would highly recommend Calahan Construction and Air.

Calahan Construction is an awesome, professional, and caring company. They were on time and very helpful. I was very impressed with this company. I strongly recommend them and will definitely use them again. I have every confidence and trust them.

I called on a Sunday and was suprised when Stacey actually answered the phone. I did decide on a new unit and he came the next day and finished the work quickly and porfessionally. I will have him do al my work in the future.

Provider was prompt and courteous. Scheduling was easy. Would recommend for the value.

I didnt end up using Calahan Construction as I diagnosed the issue myself and replaced the ignitor.

The techs went to the house on an icy Saturday so I give them all the credit in the world for braving the roads to show up and take a look. They left saying they'd need to talk to the owner about the unit. Two days later, I finally reached someone at Calahan and asked for a diagnosis and quote to repair. He distractedly told me that he couldn't or wouldn't fix it because it had been messed with and he'd only replace the unit. Fair enough, I knew the tenant had tried to get the unit to work himself, so I asked how much that would run and he said "oh, maybe around $2,000, probably more, I don't know". I asked him to send me a quote via email and he said he would. Another two days went by and I finally reached him again, asking AGAIN for a quote to be sent to me via email. He said he'd get it to me that day. Nothing. I finally called another repair person who went out at 7pm on a weekend to diagnose the issue, find replacement parts and complete the work to have the unit up and running for less than $1K. I would not use Calahan again and would not recommend them to anyone based on their lack of professionalism.

Reurned phone calls. Arrived on time, polite, cleaned up after themselves. Installation took a little longer than they'd anticipated but job went fine. Have had no issues. Would use them again.

I made the purchase and never heard from anyone. I have called and emailed nad not heard anything back at all.

No visit was made by this provider just yet. He recommended I wait until temperatures drop to come service my A/C unit.

The work was completed by a prior contractor who called me earlier and was not an Angie's list company. Since an appointment was not arranged with Calahan we agreed to let the original install contractor do the inspection.

While the job took longer than expected, they did a good job in the end and I would hire them again. Task One - Rewiring existing thermostat. They rewired the thing quickly and it turned on, but they did not stop to check if it was actually getting cooler when set to a/c mode. As a result, if I had not checked it myself, they would have left with the a/c mode pumping out hot air, apparenly due due to the odd wiring in the house. When I pointed out that it was not working they got it working correctly, however, I was a little frustrated that they had not checked themsevles. Task Two - Replacing an existing thermostat that looked ugly but worked with a new one I had purchased at Home Depot. Unfortunately for all, this turned into a six hour job over two days. The extra time was due largely to the fact that the house had unexectedly difficult wiring issues, but I feel it was made worse by the techs who came out on the first day. One of the techs admitted that he was not an HVAC person and did not go out of his way to be of assistance while the younger tech was smart and fast but did not seem very experienced with trouble-shooting older systems. If it had been newer construction I think they would have handled the job without incident, however, the out-of-the box problem seemed to throw them for a loop. Rather than assessing the wiring situation before unhooking the existing thermostat even though they commented at the time that it was unusual to see two wires running into the thermostat, they did not stop to investigate what those wires went to until after they had the new thermostat installed and the system would not work. If they had told me the wiring was unusual and it could signficant time to figure out what went where, I would have had them leave the existing thermostat. Instead, the only solution was for them to rewire and trace wires for hours to get the system hooked back up correctly. I would like to think a more experienced tech would have seen the rats nest of wires and foreseen the problem, but perhaps that is being overly critical. Fortunately, the owner Stacey made it a point to come out early the next morning and spend an hour and a half with the crew from the first day resolving the problem. He was clearly more experienced and able to pin point the problem quickly. More importantly, he was easy to work with and very thorough. He went above and beyond to get my units working and me off to work as quickly as possible. I came away impressed with his handling of what had turned into a time-draining job for his team as well as his technical ability. Also, I felt that his invoice was very fair all things considered. He turned a bad experience into a good one at the end of the day.

He showed up on time and did his thing.

They were timely and kept to the appointment time. They were quick and completed the work efficiently.

He troubleshot the problem, went and picked up the part, installed it quickly and everything has been running smoothly ever since then. Thanks!!
