Calahan Construction & Air was built on the idea of providing quality service with affordable prices. Our goal is to help as many people as possible. We began in 2002 and still run our company on the same principles when we started. While Calahan Construction & Air may not have a fleet of 100 trucks and over 100s of employees, what we do have is a genuine compassion to serve people in a manner that we expect to be served. By doing this, we have built a reputation for being trustworthy, accountable, dependable, efficient, and most notable a company that gets it right the first time.

Description of Work: They came to my house to do annual spring maintenance for my AC systems. The 2nd half of the paid service is yet to be perform come fall. For Spring service, they were on time and punctual! I hope for the same good service come fall.

Description of Work: Okay I went to Calahan because Service Experts charged me $350 to change a $35 capacitor last year. I told Calahan's that's why I'm looking for a new HVAC company. They agreed that the $350 for a capacitor was outrageous. So we're off. They show up after a reschedule. My son is at home while they are working on the HVAC and he calls me and says they quoted him $350 for a low pressure switch - the switch is less than $20 at Dallas HVAC Parts. I call Calahan's up and ask if this is a joke. His response was that I was paying for expertise. I responded that $350 was lawyers fees. He agrees to lower the bill to $180. Great! Except two weeks later my unit is out again. I check it out and I'm sure it is the condenser motor. I did not even call Calahan's. I'm not going to give them the opportunity.

Response from Calahan Construction & Air
We go out our way to help our customers'. We went out to find he had a bad pressure switch at the ac unit. We gave him a price of $350 to replace it. Our tech bypassed so they could have cold air until we could get back to fix it. Yes, he was right $350 was a little high. We were miss quoted on the part on our end. We discount the part and installation to $180 and he was ok with it. When, they were having problems again two weeks later. After talking to me on the phone and finding out the problem wasn't the part we installed, no one called back. We did all we could to make the customer happy.
