Bloomin' Blinds of North Dallas

One of the many projects we’ve had on our list was to upgrade the front of our house by replacing our old curtains with shutters. We had used Bloomin Blinds on several occasions for repairs, but had never bought any products from them. Becca and her team did exactly what they said they would from the outset, suggesting the appropriate width and color for the shutters. The dimensions were measured on two occasions, resulting in three shutter units that are exact fits for our window units. The shutters look great inside and out; our only regret with this process is that we didn’t let Bloomin Blinds tackle the project sooner.

Karen McGuffin was charming, affable and spent alot of time making sure we were given all options suitable for our needs. It was a pleasure doing initial business with her and we had looked forward to commencing project work of re-string and window treatments. We had mentioned that we never got a response to our Blinds She confirmed that the re-string could be done within a few days and carefully assessed/surveyed all the windows. When attempting to schedule within a week as Ms. McGuffin had indicated, the salesperson said she was unable to do so because of heavy scheduling. When I was eventually transferred to the manager (Ms. McGuffin's son....Michael...maybe?), he began screaming into the phone and was extremely rude about why he would NOT provide service. He was offensive and unprofessional in the extreme...It was a shock to the system after the very professional and relaxed interaction with Ms. McGuffin. Contacted Ms. McGuffin who was very apologetic and sent out a service man promptly, as we had guests coming in from out-of-town. Serviceman ...Cesar? was very efficient and professional. Got almost all the re-stringing done and even threw in Valance Vclips at no charge. Unfortunately, one window could not be re-strung as Ms.McGuffin had overlooked what turned out to be a replacement issue. Serviceman Cesar assured us he would be back with the part that Friday afternoon. He called late in the day to say that they would have to order the part and that the McGuffin son (who was the manager) would only authorize him to drop off a whole blind, but WOULD NOT ALLOW HIM to install. I said that was not acceptable and unless the job was done, there could be no payment (they were going to charge us $309.00). Job was never completed. There has been no response since April 2016, I believe people should know this is a family business and while principals like Founder/Owner Karen McGuffin was brilliant in her presentation/representation, there are family members who are franchisees and you may not like what you get. Never hire them when they behave in conduct unbecoming.... unprofessional and rude.

everything was just right. to start, A REAL PERSON ANSWERS THE PHONE, and that goes a long way with me! their prices are very reasonable, and they will schedule a repair on existing blinds for a VERY REASONABLE $39.95. JJ was right on time, skilled and helpful. seems to be a very good and well-run company.

They found work that did not need to be done over and above reason for repair that was not identified until blinds were there for a week

This company did a great job for me. I had recently had my bedroom painted and they were extra careful to not damage the paint. They are very careful with all of my belongings. They were prompt and courteous and their prices are very reasonable.

We found Bloomin' Blinds at the Collin County Home Show and had them stop by to provide a quote for blinds in an arched window in our master bedroom. When the installer arrived, he was well groomed, wore a company shirt and his vehicle was also company labeled. That is such a nice touch - having someone who looks like a professional come by and do the work. The installation was quick and neat - we love how the blind improved the look of the room and helps keep the room darker at night time. It was very easy doing business with Bloomin' Blinds and they did great, quality work.

The technician was excellent - prompt and efficient. Really superior service; he made certain each blind was in good condition. I'm very happy I can open the blinds. And, he replaced all the knobs that had fallen off with time. Great service!

tI have over 20 two inch blinds in the house . Six were broken and others needed adjustment. It went well. He arrived on time and went to work immediately. It took an hour and all blinds were operating correctly. I was very pleased and would use Bloomin Blinds again.

They were very professional and courteous. We had about a dozen slats in our plantation shutters that had been damaged and needed replacing. They measured and we selected the paint color. Took about 6 weeks, but they told us that up front. The guys that came out to do the initial estimate and then later installation, were great - did a great job.

My windows were so dirty you couldn't see through them. Bloomin' Blinds did an excellent job. Their professional window cleaner was efficient and courteous. I would recommend this company without any reservations.

The whole process from the initial meeting through installation was great. Everyone I worked with were efficient, professional, and knowledgeable. The blinds are exactly what I wanted and greatly improve the appearance of my home.

I'm very impressed with the service and price of Bloomin' Blinds. I had gone to Home Depot just to look at what I might want (blinds, shutters, shade, etc), so I had a ball park of what I wanted and how much it would cost there. The office is extremely friendly and organized, and they scheduled Kelsey to come out and take measurements with a laser measuring tool not a traditional tape. He called 30 minutes before arriving so even though they give a two hour window for your appointment, I had plenty of time to get home. He gave recommendations, answered any questions, explained the process and gave me a quote. It was the first quote I got and the last because it came in under what I was expecting even with installation, so it made sense to do it. The entire first visit was about 30-40 minutes. A week and a half later I got a call from the office saying that my blinds were in, and they would like to schedule an installation appointment. Just like Kelsey, Kris called about 10 minutes before he was going to arrive to install the blinds. The installation took about 1-1.5 hours. Everything was installed very cleanly, and it looks great. He even had to crawl under a table to reach one of my windows and was very professional and kind about it. He definitely knows what he is doing, and I think that day alone he had already installed about 60-70 blinds. I was nervous about the door because it didn't originally have blinds and I wasn't sure if there would be enough support for blinds. It wasn't a problem for him. The door looks amazing, and it has latches at the bottom so the blinds won't swing when the door opens. I would highly recommend Bloomin' Blinds.

I have never in all my 55yrs on this earth had such warm, true, personable, customer service. I thought Kelsey hung the moon when he came out to measure and give me a quote. Not only was the quote $200.00 less than the deign center at America Legend Homes that built our home but also the warranty was about 9 YEARS LONGER! Then whenever Chris came out to install them he was just awesome as well not to mention he's a Fire Fighter and protect our homes and families as well. The email alerts to remind you of your upcoming service dates and calls by the wonderful kind ladies in the office are just so thoughtful. I can truly say that Bloomin Blinds has made my life alot easier knowing in the future I can call them to repair a broken blind, clean my windows or order more blinds from. I understand that Kelsey and Chris are the sons of the owner of this company...I would like to hand it to you mom you raised some good young men! IF THERE WERE A HIGHER RATING THAN A I WOULD HIT THE HIGHEST ONE!

We thought we were going to have to replace most of the blinds. They came out and told us which blinds could be repaired, which needed to be replaced. They also identified one of the blinds that was repairable but cheaper to replace in the long run. They did all the repair work the first time out, and ordered the replacement blinds. The replacement blinds arrived in two weeks just like they said, and they came out a second time to install the replaced blinds. Bottom line - all blinds are working correctly and look good. Would definitely use them again.

This is the second time we have used the services of Bloomin Blinds. They are friendly, know their stuff, and totally back their work with a guarantee if the blinds get broken. I know we will use them in the future!

Person answering the initial phone call was pleasant and able to schedule an appointment convenient for us. We received an email confirming the appt and a reminder email the evening before the appt. The technician called us to say he was on his way about 20 minutes ahead of time. Technician was on time and very professional. Shade works perfectly now. We also used Blooming Blinds to install five 2" faux wood blinds a couple of years ago. Their performance on that job was excellent also.
