It appeared to go well at first. Although it was scheduled to be done in 1 day, it took 2. They did their best to accommodate us staying at the old house, by leaving some clothing and bedding to not inconvenience us too much. They did a good job wrapping our belongings to protect them. We bought extra insurance coverage to be sure some expensive items and antiques were well covered. Our dining room table was damaged somehow in the move. They were unable to find a company who could repair the damage. They refused to replace the table as the insurance stated they would if unrepairable. I am taking them to small claims court to get my table repaired or replaced. * Please note. They inventory all of your items and every item was recorded with labels "scratched, marred and chipped". I did not notice these notations during the process. I believe this is the way they protect themselves from paying claims.

Every thing was delivered in great shape as promised. It took 8 days to deliver my items to a California destination. I want to give extra credit to the local movers who came to pick up my furniture . They are John Knight and Dewayne Shaw. I had been told by Lisa who had come by a week earlier to give me my binding estimate that the items to be moved would go into a truck and not come out of that truck until it reached the destination where my items were to be delivered. On the appointed day to pick up my items, John Knight and Dewayne Shaw showed up 10 minutes early. I liked this! They said they were taking my furniture as it was (wrapped only in saran wrap like material) and put it into a warehouse until the interstate driver assigned to my items picked them up. This was not what I had been told would happen. I called the main office and talked to Penny. She apologized but said this was the schedule and the interstate driver would not be coming to my house. John and Dewayne assured me that they would go back to the warehouse and get the proper blankets to wrap my funiture as I had been told they would be wrapped for interstate travel. When they returned with the proper wrapping materials they told me that they were told that my items would probably by picked up that night by an interstate driver. They assured me that my items would be well taken care of. My furniture was well taken care of because of the integrity and responsible nature of John Knight and Dewayne Shaw. They spent a lot of time wrapping my funiture carefully. The movers who took the items from my home had papers with "binding" on the papers but an estimated charge of $2242.92. I called the main office and talked to Penny and this was cleared up when Lisa contacted Penny with the correct amount $2053.45 (binding). The interstate mover who delivered the furniture called 24 hours before to set up a delivery time. All was delivered on time and in good shape. and at the binding price quoted.
