Andys Sprinkler Drainage & Lighting

A good experience with a price that was certainly reasonable (although sprinkler systems are not cheap to maintain).

We had received another bid that much less expensive. The bill was higher than we expected. For some reason several people showed up and the figures got higher. The work had to be done before we left town so we had to get it done. They were late for the appointment. They replaced one valve. Did not fix the handle we had requested. Replaced a head that was new and we had just paid to have fixed. It was not leaking before. They dug up another valve or so he said. But lost interest as it got dark and never explained to us what was in that hole. Was it a valve that we did not know about? In the future we will look for someone else.

Excellent experience as we had looked for months before finding this company on Angie's List (and boy are we glad we did!). Arrived earlier than originally indicated, and were very communcative during the whole process. They did EVERYTHING we needed, and corrected problems with our system that we were not even aware of. A two man crew is an ingenious idea (in our opinion), due to problems that can (and did) arise. This saved them, and us, time and money. Justin is very respectful, and should be commended for his willingness to get the job done right the FIRST time. We have now found our company for all of our sprinkler, drainage and irrigation needs.

The crew called before an appointment, as promised and arrived on time. The crew leader evaluated the existing system and recommended replacement of several sprinkler heads that were damaged or misplaced. The work was done in a timely fashion and with no mess in the yard. I was pleased with the work they did and will use them again.

He was very professional. They had a positive front office staff, and on location personnel also very professional.

Technician diagnosed controller problem incorrectly, and did not recognize that controller was not operating, due to rain sensor. He offered too much "detail" information which was also incorrect and misleading. I told him repeatedly that I was not interested in "sprinkler school" that I just wanted my system to work as it was before he dealt with the control unit. He also made inappropriate statements. And left me with a non-working system. After he left, I called Andy's and they sent his boss to my house, and the problems were solved and explained in a way that was professional and encouraging after a very stressful situation was resolved. He sent 3 techs out, and they replaced my controller at a reasonable price and in a professional manor. Were it not for the first technician, their grades would be higher.

I was very pleased with their professionalism and showing me where the problem areas were. They were a few hours late, but they called me when they found out the job ahead of me was going to take longer than expected. They called me a few times after that to keep me posted on estimated time of arrival for my repair. This was very much appreciated and showed they valued my time. They were able to find and fix my problems within an hour. Fortunately, the underground leak was minor. Also, they had my sprinkler heads in their truck, so they replaced them right away. My sprinkler system is now working great. One more thing. Being a single woman with no clue about these things, I am perfect target to be taken advantage of by dishonest repair people. As a result, I am very grateful that, instead, I had honest people like ''Big Lou'' and a honest company like Andy's Lawn taking care of my repairs. I was so impressed asked them for quote for my daughter's yard!

The tech, Nick, called me nearly one hour before the scheduled time, and offered to come out then. He was at my door in less than 10 minutes. He was extremely polite and well-spoken, and obviously knew what he was talking about. The work was done quickly and completely. He made some suggestions for improving the system. He was careful to give me the prices before he did any work. I am very impressed with the service and the company. The woman scheduling the appointments was exceptionally nice, helpful and very efficient.

Overall, an EXCELLENT experience, from first call to end of service. All individuals extremely helpful and courteous. Explained pricing upfront to ensure no surprises. Service providers were on time, explained why I was experiencing the issues with my lawn that initiated my call. Did not attempt to sell me services or products I did not need. Highly recommend and WILL USE again.

Excellent work. Very professional. I don't know how the cost compares, and it was slightly more than I expected, but I was EXTREMELY SATISFIED with the work.

Very pleasant to deal with. They were here for quite a while, but were always working. They had such good ideas for improving our system. We were told by other companies that we really needed a whole new system. Our system is now working like it did when it was new. It needed work, but they only did what was needed and did not try to sell us more. They keep you appraised of every thing that they are doing. All work and labor is guaranteed for one year. They were very professional, but friendly. They did not leave until everything was working perfectly. We would definitely use them again.

They were early for their initial estimate meeting and on the day of installation. They completed the work as promised and on time. All of the workers were very professional, courteous and trustworthy. I would definitely use them again for any lawn irrigation issues.

I am incredibly impressed how they worked with us on fixing partially done work by another party, and also using our materials. They were a dream to work with; prompt, efficient, and friendly. I will use them on every house I purchase from now on.

The people who did the work were competent and experienced. They kept me informed about what needed fixing. They worked on the system for a whole day. The cost was higher than I expected, but not higher than the work demanded, I believe. The system works very well now.

Arthur and his helper arrived within the given time frame. They called ahead to let me know they were on their way. Every sprinkler station was tested to optimize the system. Additional work later in spring was planned, where one ''station'' covers too big an area and hence water pressure is insufficient. Hulcy Sprinklers has helped us on several occasions - installing rain and freezer guards and repairing busted sprinklers. We have always been very pleased with their work.

THE 2 PERSON CREW WAS PROMPT AND EFFICIENT. AT $95/HOUR THEY ARE A BIT PRICEY, BUT THEY GET IN AND GET THE WORK DONE QUICKLY. SO THE HOURLY RATE ISN'T NEARLY AS ONEROUS AS IT MIGHT BE IF THEY DIDN'T GET DONE QUICKLY.

FIGURED OUT A VERY COMPLICATED COMPUTER SYSTEM. THEY CAME BACK 3 OR 4 TIMES AND DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR THE TIME. HE WAS VERY EASY TO WORK WITH.

THE TECHNICIANS WERE ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. WE WENT WITH ANDY'S BECAUSE OF THEIR RATING ON ANGIE'S LIST, AND ALSO BECAUSE THEY SEND OUT A MINIMUM OF TWO PEOPLE TO DO THE WORK.

I CALLED TO REQUEST EXTENSIVE WORK TO BE DONE ON SPRINKLER SYSTEM. 16 ZONE SYSTEM. WORK TO INCLUDE REPLACING ABOUT 8 ZONES AND REPLACING CONTROLLER. I EXPLAINED THAT I AM ON A TIGHT SCHEDULE AND TOLD THEM THAT IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE WORKMEN BE PUNCTUAL. I EMPHASIZED THIS AND EXPLAINED THAT WE SHOULD ONLY SCHEDULE WORK TO BE DONE AT A TIME WHEN THE WORKMEN COULD BE THERE ON TIME OR AT A DATE WHEN MY SCHEDULE WAS FLEXIBLE AND I COULD WAIT FOR THEM IF THEY WERE RUNNING LATE. I WAS ASSURED THAT THE WORKMEN WOULD BE ON TIME. ON THE DAY WHEN THEY WERE SCHEDULED TO ARRIVE, I GOT A CALL FROM THE WORKMAN AFTER HE WAS SCHEDULED TO ARRIVE, STATING THAT HE WAS RUNNING LATE. THIS WAS AFTER I HAD RESCHEDULED PATIENTS (WHO WERE BY THIS TIME WAITING IN EXAM ROOMS IN MY OFFICE FOR ME) SO THAT I COULD BE THERE TO MEET THE WORKMEN. I CANCELLED TO JOB WITH ANDY'S. THIS COMPANY COULD NOT EVEN SHOW UP ON TIME ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE JOB (AFTER BEING TOLD PUNCTUALITY WAS VERY IMPORTANT).

THE WORK WAS PERFORMED QUICKLY. THE PEOPLE WERE POLITE. THEY ARE A BIT EXPENSIVE. THE CHARGE WAS 213 PARTS +1.5HR LABOUR + TAX. THE PARTS WERE A BIT EXPENSIVE.

THEY WERE ON TIME AND DID CALL JUST BEFORE ARRIVING. THEIR WAS 3 PEOPLE AND THEY ALL WORKED THE HOUR THAT THEY WERE HERE. THEY WERE INFORMATIVE AND COURTEOUS.

VERY HELPFUL, OFFERED SUGGESTIONS AND WERE VERY COURTEOUS.

THE TEAM WAS COMPETENT AND EFFICIENT. THE ENTIRE PROCESS WAS EXPLAINED IN DETAIL.

VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. DID A FULL INSPECTION OF MY SYSTEM AND THEN WE WENT OVER THE FLAGGED ITEMS. SPENT 3 1/2 HOURS DOING REPAIRS, ETC. WHILE THEY WERE DEFINITELY A BIT EXPENSIVE, I FEEL THAT THEIR WORK AND GUARANTEE IS WORTH IT. I'LL USE THEM AGAIN.
