Andys Sprinkler Drainage & Lighting

Andy's managed the project flawlessly from start to finish. I spoke to several different contractors to get cost estimates on the project and chose Andy's because it offered the best combination of price, professionalism and customer service. Josh DePauw was the manager for my project and I highly recommend him. He was very helpful when he came to do the project estimate and quick to respond to my many follow-up questions. The work crew did an excellent job on the drain installation. They took great care with the yard, even replacing the grass when the project was complete. The sprinkler system repairs, done as part of the same project, were completed with similarly high quality. So far, I've had one follow-up service call related to the sprinkler system. The crew fixed the problem quickly and at no additional charge.

They did not find a leak, but after inspecting our system he put in all new heads and rerouted the system. He also provided a new control box. They came out quickly and were prompt. They had to did up our lawn, but made it look very good putting it back.

They did some excellent problem solving for us to not only save us some money, but to help us avoid having to tear up our yard. They did an excellent job. They did the work to fix the leak and rerouted some drainage. They are a little bit pricier than others might be, but the quality is well worth it.

Excellent service at a reasonable price. Arrived on time and work efficiently to make repairs. System has been working perfectly ever since.

I called them yesterday morning and they called me back within 30 minutes of my call. They had a two man crew led by Sergio here this morning at 8:45AM. They fixed the broken sprinkler heads, rain sensor and misters. They also gave me a quote on adding new sprinkler lines and heads to the back yard. It was more than I wanted to spend so we are waiting on doing that. I was very impressed with the professionalism. Not only did they explain what they did but they also showed me how to work the system.

They came in a timely manner. It was a little expensive, but I knew it would be. The controller doesn't work properly. It won't stop when it is supposed to and it won't start when it is supposed to. I think I just have a bad controller box. They are coming out to fix the problem.

They came on time, and did their job very efficiently. The crew who came to work was very nice. I would recommend them to other. They were professional, and responsive. My overall experience with them has been good.

I called Andy's based on reviews in Angie's List. Kevin came out a couple of days later to discuss what we were looking for, gave me a quote and left a pamphlet of different lighting options. I scheduled the work for the following week. Kevin and his crew arrived on time and performed the necessary work. Corey came back in the afternoon and did the electrical work necessary, showed me how to use the system and answered my final questions. He made sure I knew that if I had any questions or needed any adjustments to the lighting in the future, that they would be more than happy to help.

Pete walked around with us and knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted the same drip system that I had in my last house in Amarillo. It was late in the Summer and they were able to start immediately. They completed the job in a couple of days and left everything neat and tidy. Everything was done just exactly as I had wanted. I felt they went above and beyond what other contractors have done. They bolted the lines to the concrete that run along the edge of the patio/house, they left me of box of drip lines and sprinkler tips for the lines so I can add additional planters and they showed me how to use everything. It's great to not have to drag a hose around everyday to keep your landscaping alive! Pete also set up a demo light system for us that could be moved around so we could decide how/where we wanted our landscape lighting. We redid some of the landscaping in the backyard and accidentally cut some of the drip lines. They came out promptly and made repairs. We did have a rain "sensor" installed. I didn't know they even existed, but Pete suggested it, and it's great not to worry about your sprinklers running in the rain.

Went fine. Was faster than anticipated. The tech also, for free, showed me which sprinklers went to which zones. He uncovered 2 that we didn't know existed. Overall, very pleasant. Will use again.

Cost was way higher than estimated and did not initially address all of the issues. They eventually did address all of the issues to my satisfaction when called back.

They always have to come back. The sprinkler head might be weeping or such, so a return visit after working on the sprinker system is not unusal. They are very punctual and gave a very accurate estimate.

The lighting that they put in is spectacular. It gives a dimensional look and it accents the pillars on the front on my house. It is absolutely beautiful.

It was excellent! They were prompt, professional, and did what they said they were going to do. They were pleasant and easy to work with. We are very happy with the results.

He came out when he was scheduled and he completed the work as scheduled. So he was very punctual and responsive as well. His work was done very well. He performed as expected.

I felt like I was overcharged. They charged $100.00 for an emergency call. They charged $95.00 per hour for labor. They charge an additional $35.00 to locate the problem. They charged $65.00 to replace one one inch valve. The glue to glue the valve in was $13.00. They were only here for 35 minutes.

My experience with Andy's was mixed. I was very happy with their punctuality and professionalism; they did a good job checking out my (16-yr old) sprinkler system which was leaving some areas poorly watered. They pronounced the system fundamentally sound, and suggested replacing only three sprinkler heads to improve coverage. They did the work on the spot, and the results were excellent. But the bill was a bit of a shock: The labor for identifying and replacing the three heads was $95! This is twice as much as I've ever paid for sprinkler repair labor, even when it included some nasty, muddy digging. Andy's did not have to do any digging or PVC pipe repair, so I think the labor charges were excessive. I also asked them to analyze my French drain. They did a very good job of showing me why it was not draining properly and what would have to be done to fix it, but the real drain expert of the two-man team spoke only Spanish. I speak Spanish myself, so I had no problems getting all the technical details, but I wonder how well the discussion would have gone if I spoke only English: The second man (who would have had to translate) spoke hardly any Spanish at all. Still, I was impressed enough with the analysis to ask for a formal repair or replacement estimate by e-mail. This was promised to me within 2 or 3 days. It is now more than two weeks later, and I have not heard from them. Oh well.

I called to get an estimate to install a sprinkler system. I called when the service technician hadn't shown up forty minutes after the scheduled time. I was told "he's running late." He did arrive an hour after the appointed time. I showed him our small yard and flower beds. All he appeared to do was check the water pressure before leaving me a "boilerplate" estimate that was about $1000 more than one I'd just had from a licensed, experienced contractor who'd spent forty minutes mapping out a plan and explaining it to me. I can't help thinking that he was making up time so he wouldn't be so late to his next appointment. If this was his usual routine, I apologize for inferring something that's not true. What I believe I can accurately infer is that, if this is an example of the company's responsiveness and attention to detail, I don't plan to do business with them. This is disappointing because the company has so many good reports on Angie's List. However, I can only go with my own experience, and it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Great, no complaints and the estimate was free. Would have loved to use them. I did check I would use this company again, but only if their prices where in line with respective contractors.

We noticed that the yard wasn't being watered right so I ran the sprinklers to check. Sure enough, there was a flood going down the front driveway. I thought a valve was busted so I called Andy's. They came out and started digging, the crew found that it wasn't the valve that was busted, the tree roots were digging into the PVC pipe and dislodged the connection. YIKES! Zack called out his manager Louis and they quickly worked on the game plan. Turns out their pro, Pablo, was available the next day. The guys were out the next day as promised. A four man crew plus Louis, Zack and another few helpers. There were 8 guys here working away on our problem. Wow! They worked quick, clean and did a fantastic job. I decided to add a station to soak the foundation and they had a great product that was reasonably priced and since they were doing 90% of the work, I decided to go for it. I'm very pleased with their work, personalities and responsiveness. We will use Andy's again without hesitation and I've already referred my sister-in-law to them. Whatever your lawn or outdoor needs, these guys can do the job.

The team, lead by Zachary N. Monty, worked well, worked with haste (did not waste time) and displayed good manners. I can only say good things about this company and their team.

Two people arrived at the time we arranged. The break was located, excavated and repaired. The dirt was replaced, and the site was cleaned up. They were paid and left the site all within an hour.
