Andys Sprinkler Drainage & Lighting

It was fine as well. We just bought the house then and it had a sprinkler system in it but there wasn't much documentation and I didn't have a good sense of where it was all hooked up. They came out and did a quick assessment which were all we were looking for. They quoted me for some other stuff but I never wound up doing it. I would use them again.

They showed up and quoted me thousands of dollars of other work. They couldn?t complete the work that I had for a sprinkler tune-up. It wasn?t their fault because I had other problems. I ended up finding someone else that was less expensive. He was nice, but the way he suggested some things didn?t match up with other experts. They were responsive and came out. He followed up and I let him know that I would interested if he went down in his prices. He did not and I ended up using another provider.

Arrived on time as agreed. They did much more than asked of them and fixed a number of things gratis. I think they are on the higher side in terms of pricing, but you get what you pay for. They are very professional and do the job done right, the first time. I will use them again for the sprinkler system needs, even if it costs a bit extra.

Bought a big deal for a $49 sprinkler system inspection. Everything went well, the deal was as described. The tech inspected the system and made adjustments as needed. My only small issue is that was going to follow up about some other services that he thought we may need, but we never heard back. Not sure if they are things we would have done anyway, so no big deal. Other than that things went well and I would call them again for sprinkler service.

Andy and his associate were very polite and efficient. I told him the two trouble spots I was having: a spot that never got watered enough and another where the pressure was a problem. He fixed the latter quite easily (a leak in the line farther down than I could find myself) and suggested an additional line into the backyard (which was relatively cheap and which they were able to add within an hour). Would gladly use them again and recommend them to others. Cheers!

I originally contacted Andy's sprinkler on Sept 20. I requested a estimate on drainage and irrigation on new residential construction. Danny replied on Sept 23 and we meet to discuss the job in detail. I was told I would have an estimate within the week. Two weeks went by with no reply so I emailed Danny to remind him, he apologized for not getting back to me, he said it was because another employee was out and he was really busy. But He reassured me once again, he would have the estimate by the end of the week. Once again, no estimate. I emailed him again on Oct 11th and hr replied the estimate will be coming soon. I understand they are busy but estimates shouldn't take over a month. I ended up going with another company. I had high hopes for Andys because of the positive review on Angies list but I will not be working with them as this unprofessionalism is a reflection of the company.

Everything went fine. They were very reliable and a lot of people in my area use them.

I had a sprinkler head that had been in some tree roots. A previous company had put on a 4 inch sprinkler head and it had gotten snapped off which resulted in the pipe breaking. I had Andy's come in and they worked very, very, very hard and they did a good job. They were expensive but they did a good job. I guess I should say they were expensive because for the amount of work that they had to do, tear up my front porch and front yard and completely reroute everything.

I bought an Angie's List Big Deal. I had a new patio built and needed the sprinkler system adjusted to avoid the patio area and cover the lawn. My husband was at home for the appointment. Andy's was prompt and responsive, did the inspection and adjustments. My husband was told that some repairs were needed so he authorized the repair. All services and repairs were provided as expected; however, Andy's added a travel charge to the repair bill even though they were already at the house for the Angie's List Big Deal. The additional charge was unexpected as there was nothing in the Angie's List Big Deal about a travel charge. This doesn't seem right and I will not use them again.

Arrived on time and completed the check of the entire system. Made necessary adjustments, cleaning, etc. Also discussed the controller box as it did not always register the changes - suggested just pressing the dials harder because contacts were getting older but did not feel the equipment needed to be replaced at this time. Let me know if I had any questions or issues to give them a call.

The team was punctual, courteous, and well done. Most importantly we talked before coming out and he was very transparent on what the Deal included and didn't include. That made everything go so much smoother without a bunch of upsell. Ultimately I had him replace my sprinkler heads for a more efficient style and that work very well this summer.

I like that they do what they say they are going to do. They call 30 minutes before they come. Their technicians are very helpful and allow us to call if we have a problem and they will walk you through the issue. They are very knowledgeable and give you options. They always give you the price when you talk to them. They just really care.

They arrived on time at 8.35 as scheduled and found out the reason for the leak in the front yard. They clearly explained the issue and showed me the valve that needs to be replaced. Also told me the cost and time it would take to fix the problem. So j knew what to expect in the bill before they replaced the valve. Work was completed in the expected time. William and Jose did a wonderful job and were very courteous. Will definitely use them in future if needed.

We had them out initially for a sprinkler system tune up. Through their inspection, they discovered that several wires had been chewed through and make 3 of our zones inopperable. They relocated the control box and confirmed that all the wires were now operational. They very carefull dug up part of our yard and a pathway to fix the issues and put it back perfectly. They repaired a couple sprinkler heads and re-programmed the timing of our sprinklers. The two guys that came out were very professional. I'd use Andy's again.

Andy's was prompt and professional and efficient and reasonably priced. I will definitely use them again, and will recommend them to others.

Made an appointment earlier in the week for an evaluation of my sprinkler system to take place at 8:30 a.m. today. I specifically discussed with the scheduler whether I would have to wait around for the technician and I was assured that I would not, since I had the first appointment of the day. She assured me that the crew would arrive promptly at 8:30 a.m. I took my son to school 20 minutes away and then drove back home in order to be there well in advance of the appointed time. I waited patiently on the porch for Andy's to arrive. At 8:45, no one had arrived or called, so I looked up their number again and called to determine the problem. After being placed on hold, I was told that the crew would arrive within 10 minutes. At 9:00, I prepared to leave, already having missed an hour of work. As I was leaving the Andy's truck arrived. I explained that they were 30+ minutes late and I wasn't interested in working with unreliable contractors. No accommodation or apology was offered--just the excuse that traffic was bad. Duh. Traffic is always heavy in Dallas during the morning rush hour. I had selected Andy's despite the fact that their system evaluation price of $109 is more than twice the price offered by many Angie's List contractors because of their name recognition. I guess that was a mistake.

Turns out this was user error - I was unaware our device allowed several different programs and had inadvertently created multiple schedules, making me think the sprinkler was going off when it shouldn't. The guy that responded to the call discovered this within about 2 minutes. He showed me how it had happened and helped me get the program corrected. However, the policy of the company is to charge for at least one hour on a call out, regardless of how long they are there. I was pretty disappointed in this. I paid the worker...he was just doing his job...but called the office to see if they would refund. They would not, but the representative pointed out that I had paid for an hour and could have them do other related work if needed. As it turns out, I needed to have a sprinkler diverter installed to enable watering some raised plants that the sprinkler doesn't get. She called the worker and asked him to return to my house, and he installed the gadget as requested. It took him 30 - 45 minutes, so still under an hour. It was $100 I would have liked to have saved, and could have done the sprinkler gadget on my own, but at least it was a relatively copacetic compromise, and it saved me 4 or 5 hours of my own time. And the installation works fine - no leaks, etc. Overall, I would likely call them again for repairs.

The company found someone to come out immediately following sod installation to check my unit and had a new controller on hand for replacement (old one was 25+ years old). The installer explained everything to me, and virtually conducted a training seminar for me as he set it up for 4 watering cycles per day for new sod, established days to water, times to water, percentages of daily watering time for non-summer months, times of day to exclude watering cycles for Dallas. After that he showed how to test manually, to add/delete/change my schedule as the new sod needed. All subsequent changes have been very simple for me. I will use this company for all my landscape irrigation needs in the future. Most impressed

Andy's Sprinkler is a GREAT company and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs sprinkler service. They were able to come out the same day I called and they were here within an hour of first contact. The service technicians who arrived were extremely polite and professional and they explained every step of the repair and service. Each step was outlined, along with the cost of parts to be used for the repair. They were able to do EVERY SINGLE BIT of the work in the first hour of the trip, saving me from having additional charges over the first hour. They could have dragged their feet and made the work take longer, but they had the integrity to do the work as it should be done and I appreciate that. In one hour, they were able to: Check every sprinkler head in all seven zones. Replace four sprinkler heads. Test and repoint all sprinkler heads. Repair the rain sensor to make the system function. Replace multiple risers in the flower beds. Re-check the entire system. Program the system controller for multi-zone use. This was all done in an extremely satisfactory manner and I am completely happy with the service I received.
