Description of Work: I called Andy's on the recommendation of a landscaper. I had several small things such as replacing nozzles, moving a sprinkler head, addressing shrub sprayers, but anyone can do those. I knew Andy's was going to stick it to me price wise, but i had two problems and I was afraid the average sprinkler repair guy would have trouble. The easier of the two was a leak in a main line. The problem was the water was showing up on one side of my yard but the leak proved to be 50 feet away. The Andy dude located it in about 30 minutes. He took 20 minutes to fix it. Turned out it was some shoddy work done by a joker irrigation company in 2010. The second problem turned out to be extraordinarily difficult. It was a nicked wire that prevented one zone my backyard from activating. After about 3 hours of work using this doppler gizmo, cutting some wires, doing some digging, etc. the exposed wire was found in my front yard. All that work for a 5 minute repair. I always enjoy watching people work that are very good at their trade and there is no doubt Andy's guy was top notch. I would highly recommend them for more challenging work. But they aren't cheap.

Description of Work: I had Andy's Sprinkler come out to check on an old sprinkler system that had a valve problem on one station. WITHOUT digging up and opening the location of the valve, they declared that the valve needed to be replaced and that I needed major overhaul of all my sprinkler system-with an estimate of almost $2000. I disagreed with them and asked if they were sure that the valve was broken-and was told, it is "definitely broken". They would not offer to do part of the work and I refused the estimate. I STILL HAD TO PAY FOR THE "SERVICE CALL" minimum-with NOTHING fixed. I have never had a company do that. I had used Andy's once prior to that and they were fair and did the asked for work. After the problem with Andy's, I called another sprinkler company and they came out, opened up the problem valve and discovered it just needed to be cleaned-some gunk had gotten in and clogged it. The charge including an adjustment of a few heads was $154.33-and the problem was fixed-no valve replacement needed. I felt that Andy's was trying to rip me off-a big disappointment in a company that I had had one good repair from. Luckily I found another much more honest company on Angie's list that has worked out well.

Description of Work: I had explained in detail the issue we were having with our sprinkler system before scheduling the appointment. When they showed up at the door, I asked them if they knew what we needed, they had no idea. Then I explained the problem and the lead technician said he could do the troubleshooting but as far as he knew the problem can never be fixed and I will have to live with it. So I told them I would call someone else. Later the same technician called to tell me that he had talked with his supervisor, needed to order a part to fix the problem. I asked them to not worry about it and not call me again. I will never give them work.

Description of Work: I had called for a couple of sprinkler heads that weren't working properly. The appointment was for 9AM, the confirming call said they would be there promptly at 8:30! I called back and left a message saying I had a 9:00 AM appointment. The day of the service, the service person called and said he was running late for my 8:30 appointment. Great, since it was at NINE. When he arrived, he checked the system control and said all was well. Then he proceded to run the system thru it's different areas to find the heads with the problem. Three defective ones were loaded and replaced. Great job. Then he began to tell me several different areas wouldn't "shut down". (They worked just fine two days before.) After working and working to find the issue, (which I think didn't exist) he said just to watch it and call if there were issues. I think he actually wasn't sure of the issue himself. All in all, the system is working, the broken heads were replaced. I just didn't have a lot of confidence that this person knew exactly what he was doing. He was there for a while longer than I thought, but the price seemed OK, compared to what other's seem to be charging. I will think about calling them again, if I get a different service person this time.

Description of Work: Replaced all sprinkler heads & installed new Rain Bird controller/ timer.

Description of Work: Irrigation control unit was no longer working at my rental property. Andy's worked with the renter to arrange an acceptable time for the repair (no small feat), showed up on time, and repaired the problem.

Description of Work: Checked sprinkler system to make sure is working properly; replaced 2 sprinkler heads and a sprinkler PVC pipe that was leaking; changed 3 nozzles.
