Missed Communications - Poor Restoration - Overcharged - Insulted because we are disappointed. Where do I begin? We asked Andrew’s Refinishing to come out for an estimate on 10/5. They wrote: We can do an onsite estimate. It will be $100 the day of the estimate. We can look at everything, take the pictures we need and get an official quote back to you. If you decide to move forward with us we will credit the $100 to the project total. I can tell you that the broken ornate chair will be in the range of $125-$150 The chair that has the broken back support will be $100-$125 The tear in the fabric chair can not be repaired. We could try and find fabric that matches but is very unlikely we have an exact match and only replace the damage panel. Pick up and delivery if needed will be $200 round trip. We can still set up an onsite estimate to better lock in these prices and see anything else that may have damage. OK. All well. Called, emailed, called, email for 29 days with no response. We finally called our Credit Card company to refund our $100, Finally on 11/3 we get in touch. Andrew’s Refinishing came out, picked up our tea table, one Henredon Arm chair, a piano bench. They returned them 12/15. They charged us $200 for the chair as they were supposed to fix the scratches and wood damage along with the back support. They did not. We sent them pictures and an email explaining we were not happy with the results. A few days later, we received a phone call from Simon Teller. He started the conversation with “Why are you always so angry?” What? Really? The work is crap and we expected for the cost to be fixed. The back support that was fixed is uneven and the stain is missing. They never repaired the multiple scratches and gauges and missing wood that was requested originally. Simon was upset with us, the customer. We did not like what we paid for and he asks us why we are angry. For $827 I expected a heck of a lot more. See the pictures yourself. The conversation only went south from there as he continued to insult me as the customer so I hung up. He then started to text me. He just could not understand why we were disappointed. Instead of saying “OK, we will try to correct the problem.” He argues with me to tell me I have no right to complain. How many times does it take for them to do what we hired them for before we can complain? He said at least once. They did once. Look at the results attached. Simon then said I never called, emailed, called, email for 29 days with no response. He said they have 5 people in the office and called me a liar. I have proof. I asked for a refund for the partial shoddy work. I get a snotty message back “See it didn’t have to be that difficult.” When it comes to customer service, Andrew’s Refinishing could use some help. I will never do business with them again. My husband sat right next to me by the phone to hear what this young man was so rude to say. Unbelievable. I have never had someone so rude to me as a customer before.

Great! Had I realized getting my table repaired would’ve been so easy, I would have done this much sooner. They came to pick up the table repaired it and brought it back within a week. They’re very professional and kind. I will definitely use them again.

Simon helped me figure out the beetles were in the table when I bought it and have been dormant for the last 2 years. I contacted the store and they acknowledged this is an issue with my model table. The company picked up my table and issued a full refund. I can't thank Simon enough for helping me figure out where the beetles came from. I was about to spend 1k+ to have the table repaired and sealed. He saved me a lot of money.

Outstanding. I was not very hopeful that they would be able to repair the chairs that had been received damaged nor did I think that they would be able to unglue the cabinet door and put it back together. The work done was awesome, took a minimal amount of time.

The team is really friendly here and very professional. I initially contacted them and was told 6 weeks for turn around. I was fine with that as I was putting in a new patio and pool and the timing would work.......... They actually called ahead of that timing to arrange delivery but on the day of delivery Greg called me and said they painted it the wrong color and they would have to redo it! Three weeks later Simon delivered the table in the right color. There was a scratch on it which he offered to redo but I had already waited longer than anticipated so he took $100 off the price. The order took 8 weeks and the quality looks good. There are not a lot of options in this space here in Dallas and they were referred by several different sources. I though there prices were really high at $150.00 per chair............. but as i said, not a lot of options! They also did not bring the right equipment to put the table back together so I did. I was OK with that

We sent pictures in early August to Andrew's to generate the quote. Originally, we quoted just reupholster of the furniture. We chose and provided the upholstery. We elected to drop the furniture off ourselves. We completed the drop on Saturday, which is lightly staffed. My wife and I carried the furniture in as their were no staff on hand to do it for us, which wasn't a concern. After dropping off, we updated our order to refinish the wood as well. The work took about 6 weeks, consistent with our quote. We paid $50 to have the furniture delivered to our house. The result was amazing; the furniture looked better than when it was new. We plan to use Andrew's again soon to make some pillows for the couch and re-stuff the seating for our living room furniture.

Andrews Refinishing did an excellent job on the Windsor Chair. Subsequently we had additional refinishing work done as described below. We recently had them refinish a medium sized antique breakfast table and 6 chairs, and to replace the chair bottoms with padded upholstered seats. They have done an excellent job and have brought out the luster of the wood. The upholstered seats are excellent.
Description of Work: refinished and repaired Windsor Chair. Most recently, Andrews Refinishing has refinished a breakfast table and six chairs, plus replaced rush bottom seats which had failed with padded upholstered seats. This job cost just over $2660.00.

Simon contacted me immediately to schedule the service. We went back and forth trying to determine what worked best (for me) At first he was going to take the furniture off site for repair, however after discussing my needs he was very accommodating and was able to send someone to do the work on-site. The person that came to do the work was on time, very professional, knowledgeable and worked fast. I was very pleased with the level of customer service and the work that was done.
Description of Work: I bought a deal for $99. I had the wood trimming on my couches touched up as they had scratches from dogs.

Simply amazing! The guys just delivered a very special heirloom dining room table back to us after they completely took the finish off and took it down to the wood actually due to a very large scratch/ gouge that happened a while back. It is a large table and is very special to us and we just couldn't stand seeing that gouge any more. Simon was very helpful, very honest, and offered to do a minor fix up job but he said the gouge was so deep, we might not be as happy. I appreciated him offering us a cheaper solution but we opted to go with the total refinish and were we ever glad! It is over the top gorgeous! It looks brand spanking new, not a blemish anywhere to be found. When I read reviews these days, all I see are people crying and whining (and totally exaggerating) about how some companies just ruined their little lives over being late on a delivery or something equally as stupid, and yes, it takes a while to get a project like this done. But folks, it's hand done and this takes time! He told me it would take several weeks, and Simon delivered it exactly when he said he would. I will definitely do business with them again and recommend them as well. You don't see quality workmanship like this anymore.

After nearly 7 weeks at their shop, upon coming to pick up it had three inches of cushion, making the table much too high to serve its intended purpose. They agreed it was quite high, and agreed was to high as a coffee table height and would re-do it. They were unclear why they would have instructed to insert three inches of cushion and I appreciate their honesty. However, now after 8 weeks I still do not have the table and they indicate they will get to it as soon as they can. At this juncture, while the faux leather stitching and nail head work was perfect and beautiful I am very disappointed with the current 8+ week timeline and seemingly a lack of urgency to get this project completed for their long awaited customer. I never want to give unsatisfactory feedback but in this case with such a long span of time and an unknown finish window I believe it deserves attention should someone find it valuable.
Description of Work: A coffee table I purchased was intended to have the top re-done to have faux leather and small volume of cushion applied to mirror a Pottery Barn ottoman that serves as a coffee table.

We always strive to be as punctual as possible and to make sure all work is done in a timely manner. In this particular case, we told the client that we were 4-6 weeks for completion. The estimate date was 3-6-2015 and invoiced on 4-13-15. We were given a picture of what she wanted it to look like and took it upon ourselves to choose the size of foam that we thought would be best suited to match the picture. This was our companies miscommunication. Since the work was completed on 4-13-15, we have worked it back into production and completed it 4-23-15 with the exact foam. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and we never want to disappoint any of our clients.

Both arms of my french settee had been broken at different times. I did not hold much hope that it could be repaired back to it's original shape. The wood had been splintered as arms were broken off. I took all the broken pieces and parts to Andrew's. I'm amazed to say that after the repairs I still cannot tell where the breaks had occurred; I'm not sure if they re-used my parts and pieces on the actual settee or used them as templates but my settee looks original. I do not see any repair seams. There are no differences in wood stain color. I honestly do not know how they were able to do such an outstanding job of the repair and I couldn't be happier. I have already recommended them to a couple of my friends; Thank you for all your efforts on my piece.

I got an estimate of the cost of the job by sending a cellphone picture. Since the table is small, I took it to the shop in my car vs. having it picked up for an extra charge. I got a call a few days before the promised date saying the table was ready for pickup. The refinishing job was flawless, the finish is now water and stain resistant, and we are very pleased with the work that was done.

Could not be more pleased with the prompt response and excellent work. I had a mission style chair that had seen better days. It belonged to my Grandfather and I didn't want to part with it. I was contacting immediately and dropped the chair within a few days. I was so please with how it looked when I picked it up. The work was excellent and I will definitely use Andrew's again and highly recommend them!

It was very good. They contacted me right away, and I dropped off the chair after I received the fabric. They said the chair would take 4 weeks since it was the busy Christmas season. It ended up taking 6. It is very nicely done. The fabric was put in a great pattern on the chair, and the piping looks very professional. Overall, I am very satisfied with the chair, and they were very complimentary of my fabric choice, which made me feel very good.

Andrews is easy to deal with, professional, and service minded. The quality of their work is excellent - A+.
Description of Work: Andrews refinished a dining room table that has been in our family since 1945. They picked up the table (and chairs), called us when it was time to select the finish, and showed us their suggested finish color. We were allowed to select the finish color based on sample stains applied to our table. Andrews delivered the table on time. It looked wonderful and functioned superbly. First class all the way.
