Awesome!! Very simply put Vivienne is a joy & pleasure to work with from beginning to end. As we went through the process from design - to product selection - to installation, she listened, provided knowledge/guidance to allow us to make great choices. We chose to use her suppliers and they were great to work with as well. In the end, we have a kitchen we are love. The majority of the project (99%) was done in 7 weeks (on time -- 1 week less than projected), one small item due to additional tile (backorder) took the last 1% longer than planned, but was minimal impact. Everyone was great in handling the situation. We loving our kitchen and can't say enough good things about Vivienne, just glad I found her on Angie's List. We will be using her again!

Perfectly. After meeting with us to ascertain our needs, Vivienne presented three designs. After we selected one, she was with us every step of the way in selecting appliances, colors, tiles and flooring and fixtures. She educated us on the various options and supported the contractor in staying on schedule. Our remodel project came in on "time and on budget" and we didn't waste money in making mistakes, almost unheard of in remodeling projects.

This is my second time hiring Vivienne to design and oversee a remodel. The first was our kitchen/utility remodel 3 years ago. We knew we were eventually going to overhaul our tacky master bath and there was never any question that we were going to hire Vivienne again. We even used other designers/remodelers for non-kitchen/bath projects in the interim, who did a fine job, and still... just no question about using Vivienne again. She's just a complete pro, on top of every detail, and works her can off to make sure you're happy, not just with the outcome but with the process throughout. She's diplomatic and thoughtful and full of wonderful ideas. For the bathroom remodel, Vivienne redesigned our master bath and adjoining closet, which is a difficult, long, narrow space, and even though we removed the tub, there wasn't a really obvious path to fitting everything back in in a way that accomplished all our goals. But somehow she still found a way. She's also amazing about staying on top of the project during construction to make sure everything is being done to plan. We had a really complex tile feature wall that she spent many hours perfecting, even though it was a "random" pattern and she totally could have left it up to the tile folks to just wing it, that's not how she rolls. Oh, she also designed cabinets for two of our other bathroom vanities to get them more modern and fitting with the rest of the remodeled rooms. They're beautiful! Sadly, we're out of big projects to do in our house, so I don't have a reason to hire her again, but I would in a heartbeat.

Let me start by saying I am a commercial design and construction manager with a large real estate company. Meaning that I am a very informed customer! I hired Vivienne after reviewing her drawing quality and content. She understood completely what my vision was and what we wanted to accomplish on our budget. Her communication with us and the contractor was on time and very professional. I have been in design and construction for over 30 years and I would not hesitate for one second to hire Vivienne again for ANY residential project!

Vivienne was professional from the beginning to end. She could not have been more helpful, bending over backwards to help us get our kitchen remodeled. She truly delivers! We were all (trades included) impressed with her technical knowledge. She was able to anticipate issues before they became problems and her vision is amazing. We have never hired a designer before and weren't sure we had room in the budget, but now we know that we avoided many costly mistakes because of Vivienne's insight. We would never remodel again without her. We recommend her everyone! She REALLY listened to what WE wanted and it kitchen is perfect! Thank you, Vivienne!

Vivienne was fantastic! We hired her for a complete kitchen remodel and she did an amazing job. She is very thorough, detail-oriented, and took us through each step with patience. Her goal is to provide customers with every option out there in order to help them make informed decisions. She first provided us with several new design concepts, then worked with us for as long as we needed to find the exact design that we loved. She provided CAD drawings in order for us to really visualize the new design, and feel comfortable moving forward. She then accompanied us to each meeting to pick out every product needed, from faucets to countertops. Her resources were all very professional with beautiful product options. We used the contractor she has partnered with (G & C construction) who were absolutely incredible. They did an amazing job from start to finish. Vivienne stayed heavily involved in the project until it was complete, coordinating deliveries, updating any designs necessary, and answering questions. The entire team was very considerate of our time table and finished exactly when we told them we needed it to be done (who can say that about a major remodel??). I gave her a B on price - she charges a fair price for her work. You get what you pay for, and she was worth every penny!

It couldn't have gone better. Vivienne listened to our needs & created 3 designs from which to choose. She was very responsive and went above and beyond in everything she did. She helped educate us in selecting different options and was very professional in every aspect of the project. I would trust her totally. The project came in on time and on budget. We knew exactly what materials were going to be used and exact costs before the construction began.

Oh my goodness! We were pleasantly surprised! Vivienne was very professional from the first call I had with her. She came in and looked at the space and came back within 3 weeks with a fabulous design. I thought that I was going to be locked into something very similar to what I already had but she came back with options we never even thought of. She has been great to work with and really went that extra mile assisting me with finally picking materials. A kitchen remodel totally requires a kitchen expert to design the space. Vivienne comes to the table with years of experience and knowledge of what works best and what makes sense. I am so glad I found her!!! I will post a picture as soon as we're totally done!

Vivienne is AMAZING! She is great at what she does and has a vision for the finished product. She will create the design for you, or if you'd like, you can go with her team of contractors. We put our trust in Vivienne and her team, and we are so glad that we did! Our kitchen is so beautiful and we've already received so many compliments. It is more beautiful and functional than we imagined. Vivienne gave us advice about things we hadn't even considered. She went with us to several show rooms to pick out tile, countertops, appliances, so much time and energy she invested in this project. Most importantly, she talked directly with the contractors at every stage to ensure all went according to plan and timely. All we can say is wow. We definitely recommend Vivienne to anyone needing kitchen design assistance.

Vivienne is wonderful! You can just use her design services OR go even further and she will help you all the way through the entire remodel process. We chose the latter and are so glad we did! She listened to what we wanted and come up with four great kitchen design plans. She helped us through the entire process - made MANY trips to our house; accompanied us on multiple shopping/selection trips; coordinated ordering, delivering, installation, and a zillion other things; problem-solved when necessary; always kept us informed of what was going on; expected perfection of all work; responded to e-mails, texts, phone calls almost "instantly"; the list could go on forever. She also knows the best people to get all the work done! Her experience, knowledge, creativity, "vision", helpfulness, professionalism, attention to detail and patience are PHENOMENAL! Vivienne goes way above and beyond what she would have to do. She could charge much more for the time and effort that she put in for us! Our kitchen looks beautiful! Vivienne is amazing!!!! On a scale of 1 to 10, we would give her a 100!

Vivienne was awesome. She listens to your wants/needs and keeps you involved the entire way through design and materials. She made several visits to our home, even to meet with the construction team to ensure everyone understood her drawings. Despite knowing she made extra trips to our house, giving us extra time than the agreement slotted, she didn't charge any extra and made sure everything was completed as designed.

Vivienne designed an amazing kitchen for me. I loved working through the design process with her. She really listened to what was important to me and how my family would use the space. The suppliers she does business with are extremely professional and a joy to work with. She was available throughout the entire process. She met with the general contractor I hired and provided him with detailed kitchen plans. Things were going great. Then, my contractor dropped the ball. He hired a sub that was incompetent. I could see that my kitchen installation wasn’t going as planned. I was panicked! I called Vivienne and she immediately offered to come and look at the installation and help me get through this so I could have the kitchen of my dreams. Vivienne put me in touch with a professional cabinet installer and then met with both of us to go over the design and make a plan to fix the poor job that my general contractor had done. Vivienne saved the day and has gone above and beyond for me!!! I would highly recommend her.

You may have already read about the greatness of working with Vivienne. Her team of suppliers also rock. During the selection and design process it is FUN to work together to create a vision. I learned about cabinet construction, work flow, efficient storage and new technologies in appliances and wood flooring.

It was really a very good experience. It was a wonderful and stress free experience. Vivienne was there to check on every detail. She managed everything professionally and efficiently.. Without her help I could have made some expensive mistakes. Putting me in contact with very reputable dealers gave me a beautiful, efficient, and quality kitchen. In the future I plan on using her services, on future projects like finishing the bathrooms along with recommending her to friends and family.

Vivienne is a jewel. She took our antiquated kitchen out of the 60's and into the 21st century - while preserving the history of our house - which is about 90 years old.  She is highly organized - on top of everything -- and knows her stuff. I would hire her again and highly recommend her for remodeling any room in your house.

We highly recommend Vivienne! The other reviews already do a pretty good job of summing up the exemplary service that she provides, they are the reason we hired her and we are so glad that we did!  
Our kitchen remodel was at a mid-range price point and while we needed to update the cheap, drab and cramped 1980's kitchen, we wanted to keep the job within the appropriate cost of our 1926 home; which needs lots of other upgrades. As new home owners I spent a year researching kitchen design, contractors and pricing it all out, and was on the fence if I could handle it myself. I wasn't sure that there was room in my small budget to set aside money for a designer - but I finally realized that pinterest'ing does not in fact make me a professional! 
We gave her a list of our kitchen design "must haves" and "wishes" and she did a fantastic job designing a new layout, without moving any walls or doors. My husband and I are avid cooks and previously could not really share the space without fear of being accidentally stabbed. We now enjoy cooking together in our beautiful & efficient kitchen and love the dedicated prep, baking and hangout areas - complete with a home for our kegerator which is built into a large custom made butcher block counter
 
Here are a few examples of Vivienne's suggestions that have made our kitchen spacious and airy: 
1. Having a smaller cabinet house our hot water heater, which gave us much needed room to the left of our kitchen sink - a huge gain.
2. Moving the refrigerator, which I erroneously thought would be expensive, has made a world of difference - it cleared up a very cramped walk-through area and created a much more functional cooking triangle. 
 3. Removing the ceiling fans and adding recessed lighting makes our ceiling height much more pronounced and with better views out to the back garden.
 4. Walking us through all of the cabinet options - we love the new configuration and longer counters
Ultimately we decided to go with the turn key approach through G&C Construction, (Gary & Des Steyn) they did a fantastic job and the custom cabinets are gorgeous. We are very happy with the results and highly recommend their company as well. 
One last example of Vivienne going above & beyond - she was able to secure us a barely used 36" wide Viking stove for $400! It was our previously unaffordable dream stove and now is the focal point of our kitchen and we absolutely LOVE it! The stove will come with us if we sell the house!
We will next hire Vivienne when it's time to remodel our outdated bathrooms 
Thank you Vivienne, you truly have improved the quality of our lives by designing us a space that we love! Our biggest wish was that our kitchen would be a joy to use and it absolutely is! 

We can't say enough positives about our experience with Kitchens Designed by Vivienne. She is an absolute professional from start to finish.  She worked within our schedule and offered us several innovative designs for our old-school kitchen. She listens carefully, measures precisely and had visual examples to show us after providing preliminary drawings, intermediate drawings and final drawings.
Her knowledge of kitchen design amazed us; her experience shows in everything she does.
Vivienne is punctual, efficient and an excellent communicator.

Vivienne was incredible. I cannot say enough great things about my experience. Not only did she listen to my needs, expectations and what was important to me, but she coached me through working with the general contractor that I had on the job. If you've come across her name and you are reading this review don't waste any more time looking for other service providers. She will not let you down and is more than worth the cost to hire her. Her method of communication is clear, direct and precise and she keeps your best interest in mind.....ALWAYS. She was always on time and professional. Additionally, when as the client you are in the fog of the project and under a large amount of stress surrounding the decision making process, Vivienne will help you stay focused on the most important thing. Her ability to do this saved me from just giving in when times got tough and when dealing with a contractor who was not willing to work through details with me. I also loved the fact that she has a specific focus of designing the kitchens( and baths) and that's it. Now, she has plenty of great recommendations for appliances contacts etc, but my point is that she was not trying to push me into using her contacts for additional work or services. She very smartly stays out of that discussion unless you ask her to provide a recommendation. Again I cannot say enough great things about Vivienne, I'm very thankful to have found her on Angie's List. 
Bottom line,I could not have survived this remodel without her. She fought for me when times got tough to ensure I got what I wanted. I call her my kitchen angel! 
PS: I will also hire her to design my master bath next.

In a word:  OUTSTANDING! 
Long story short, we interviewed several kitchen designers/remodelers, and hired one.  Unfortunately, we had to fire that first designer, who after four weeks into our contract and only at my behest,  she finally presented ONE kitchen design that was sorely disappointing.  Her drawing looked just like my existing kitchen with the exception of moving the dishwasher to the right of the sink from the existing left side, and she lowered a counter.  Plus, her measurements were off.  WE wanted someone to re-imagine our 40-year old kitchen/den.  None of our requests were honored by that designer.
At this point, I found Vivienne on Angie's List and was very pleased to see her great reviews.  In short order we, too,  knew we were in the correct hands.  She excelled on all levels, and her design fee was fair.
Her listening and communication skills, design skills (we got 4 designs to choose from), technical knowledge, conflict resolution skills (vendor),  and customer relation skills are superb!    She took genuine interest in the final outcome and made the experience enjoyable....  Imagine that!!   WE decided to hire the contractor/cabinet maker she recommended, and that proved to be a good decision, too.   And, you will enjoy her personality and down-to-earth practicality.  
This is not my first remodeling project, but it is the first time I have felt I could give rave reviews to the design professional.
If you are searching for a highly-responsive and talented designer with all the necessary skills, Vivienne will not disappoint.  Go ahead, do your due diligence and interview several designers.  I feel very confident you will make the same decision as we did and  hire Vivienne.  Good luck with your remodel!

She arrived on time and I felt like we immediately "clicked" ... she listened to my desires and came up with a solution that fit my budget!!  What a concept!!  She also provided me with drawings that a contractor can use and provided me with the name of a contractor that she recommends.  She was very professional and helpful, as well as letting me know I could contact her anytime if I had any further questions.  It was a great $150 investment for a small remodel, I would highly recommend her and would definitely use her again if the need arises.

Not all things went according to plan but that should be expected in a large remodel. Vivienne was available to facilitate any issues that arose. She made sure we were satisfied at every juncture of our remodel.

We are very happy with our new "turn-key" kitchen. Vivienne is great to work with. Our project required moving a wall and installing a beam above the ceiling, moving plumbing and electric, installing beautiful custom cabinets with the door profile and paint color I stipulated, and the installation of a rather complicated tile backsplash pattern. In addition we were very happy with the tile, appliance, construction, and plumbing trades that they used.
I really appreciated working with Vivienne, she really pays attention to the details. Her design and suggestions were great. She listened to me as I tried to explain my vision and really helped when I was having a tough time making a couple of design decisions. In addition, her vendors are top notch. Her recommended vendors had a wide selection of options and competitive prices.
We liked working her and the construction team so much that we are hiring them to do a bathroom and laundry room remodel.
