Harper Carpet Care

I purchased a Big Deal coupon from them. It worked out good. I have used them before. It was great. He was a little confused because he thought the offer was different than what it was but he honored it.

I purchased the Big Deal for whole house carpet cleaning for $169. The first time I called to schedule, the young lady was very pleasant, cheeful and accommodating. We scheduled the appointment a couple of weeks out. I called three days before the initial appointment to reschedule when I realized I wouldn't have enough time to pack and move my belongings into the non-carpeted areas of my home. The young lady was clearly very sick with a cold when I called and she sounded like I may have awakened her. Still she was pleasant and we rescheduled for the following Friday 7/19. I had my calendar in front of me and wrote it down during our conversation, so I'm pretty sure I got it right. I packed and moved my belongings into my kitchen and bathrooms before the appointed arrival time on noon Friday - a huge job. My kitchen was so packed as to be almost unusable. No one showed up at noon and I called at 12:20. The voicemail message said that they were on vacation through Monday and that the machine would not be checked until then. An emergency number was given but I didn't call. I did leave a message. Fridays are the only weekdays I have available to be at home, and I couldn't wait a week for access to my kitchen. I contacted another company, which was fortunately able to fit me on on short notice. They were able to come clean my carpets that same day. I understand that this was a simple mistake of communication, but it definitely put me in a bind. I would have been willing to reschedule if possible, but it wasn't, so I requested a refund from Angie's List. Harley called me the following Monday and said that I was on their schedule for the next Friday 7/26. Harley was still pleasant and professional, although naturally concerned about their reputation. We agreed that we couldn't know who had made the mistake and that's all it was, so I've upgraded the company's rating to B.

They did an excellent job! They called ahead to let us know they were running a bit behind schedule. Upon arriving, they measured the carpets and provided a very reasonable price. They were thorough in their work and very knowledgeable about flooring. I plan to make an appointment soon for the grout in our tile flooring.

Great, Walter did a wonderful job. Came out on time and listened to what we needed and finished the job!

Everything was done as directed. Carpets were cleaned and protective coating applied. Furniture was replaced where appropriate and everything was left in better condition then when they arrived. I will definitely use them again.

Harper's came out and cleaned our carpets about 3 weeks ago. Carpet on stairs needed stretching, so we scheduled time for him to come back. I also had him clean and seal the grout in 2 bathrooms. Every service performed had great results - and he touched up a few spot areas on my carpet for free.

They were on time. Very friendly and went right to work. We were moving and had new owners taking residence the next day. They did an amazing job. With 5 kids of my own the carpets definitely needed some work and harpers came in and were professional and got the job done!

We were moving from another state and I needed a company to come in and clean carpets before we arrived; and on short notice. Harper Carpets were professional and did a fantastic job. It has been almost a year now and the carpets still look great. I will certainly call Harper Carpets again when it comes time to have my carpets cleaned.

Harper Carpet Cleaning exceeded my expectations, both in their scheduling and communication, and in cleaning my carpet and chairs. The house has carpet in three bedrooms, den, living and dining rooms, and the master bedroom includes a hallway, sitting area, and walk-in closet (so lots of carpet). Harley called to let me know they were going to be a little late, then called again on his way to my house, and they got to work in a very efficient and professional manner on arrival. Harley and Walter worked together well, treating spots and cleaning carpet quickly. They also tackled six 15-year-old dining room chairs (look quite a bit better) and 2 barstools (the white part of the design is now white again), so I'm very happy with their work and will call them again. The carpet did remain a little damp under my bare feet until the next morning, but it was a rainy, humid day. I also like the fact that they're in my east-of-IH35 Kyle neighborhood, so I'm supporting a local company.

Based on the strong reviews in Angie's list I hired Harper to clean the carpets in the upstairs of my home, 4 bedrooms, hallways, staircases, etc... In addition had some serious pet stain/odor issues. They were great on all counts. Prompt and courteous, definitely wanted to do a perfect job on the carpets and they really made a difference. I will absolutely use them again.

After ten years of enjoying our soft & lovely DuPont Tactesse nylon carpet, upon which we basically lived like feral animals with minimal regard for food crumbs and kitty accidents, we could no longer ignore the dirt, the stains, and the areas slightly trashed by Millie, my brother's sharp-clawed, carpet-ripping feline. After finding Harper Carpet Care highly rated on Angie's List, I eagerly called to schedule some cleaning and stretching at the house I share with my brother. Then we got cold feet, thinking how hard it would be to pick up everything off the crowded floors, clean off the bookshelves, and move all the bulky furniture onto the non-carpet areas. I again called the owner, Harley Harper, and requested he come take a look to let us know what preparations were actually needed, which he readily agreed to do. This was enormously helpful and reassuring, especially since stretching is different than just cleaning. He and his assistant Walter quickly assessed in detail which items had to be moved plus how much had to come off of which bookshelves. They said they could handle the big furniture items (which turned out to be wonderfully true). This pre-visit also allowed a more precise estimate of the total cost, as they also included several repairs and patches we wanted done. With this information we were able to choose a realistic work date and then get started on the prep. Harley and Walter arrived a week later at 9 a.m. as scheduled, planned out the order of things and got to work. I was worried about my own kitty Corinna who hides whenever a stranger's car comes up the driveway. She'd been unreachable since early morning when she activated her psychic ability, read my mind that chaos was about to occur in her surroundings, and hid under the bed. She stayed there til Harley & Walter went to lunch; then I was able to put her into a Sherpa bag and stay nearby till the work was done that afternoon. Both guys showed consideration and concern about how to work around her with the least amount of trauma. Harley and Walter were very agreeable to work with: amiable yet professional, productive but not frantic or rushed, informative and patient when peppered with questions. First, the power-stretching took place, which smoothed out long-standing ripples and waves, tiny tsunamis of bunched-up nylon. Then the steam-cleaning, followed by replacing furniture items and raising them onto little blocks which my brother and I removed once the carpet had fully dried, approximately 5 - 6 hours later. We actually waited til next day to avoid any hint of moisture against the wooden furniture legs. Harley & Walter cleaned up the areas well before they left. The results were clearly excellent in regard to both stretching and cleaning. This was very surprising as we had essentially given up on the old abused carpet and were about to consider entirely new floors ~ which we realize now would have been an unnecessary and horribly expensive form of pessimism and surrender. From now on, though, maybe another ten years, we'll be calling Harley to do preventive care & cleaning once a year while we continue living like domesticated wildebeests on the Serengeti.

Great work by Harper Carpet Care... Had the works done (Carpet repair, grout cleaning & carpet cleaning) on time, called to confirm. Results were great and price was fair. Very happy with result.

They arrived exactly on time after having called 30 minutes ahead to tell me they were on their way. Took exactly the amount of time they said it would. Professional, courteous, and took care to pull drapes and bed skirts up off the floor. Harley and his assistant moved the chairs, ottoman and tables all into the kitchen. He's been in business since 1996 and you can see why. I'd hire them again and that, is probably the biggest compliment any service company can receive!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the service and attention to detail. The appoitment was for a set time, Harley called with a confirmation that morning, an ETA when he was close and he was on time. Stains from rocking chair were in the carpet when we bought the house... not after Harley left!

He stretched the living room carpet and cleaned it. I would give them an A's all the way across the board.

Nice guy! Was able to work me in the same day. He arrived early in the evening and got my carpets cleaned quickly and effectively.

Harley did a great job. The carpet looks great! Definitely appreciate Harley going over what he was going to do and how long it would take. Harley was really nice and will be calling him when we are ready to have our grout cleaned and sealed.

It was great. Harley was very thorough and gave extra care on some tough stains which really helped. He also had great suggestions on caring for the carpet in the future. The carpet itself looks much better now.

Harley is a true professional and an independent business man. He worked carefully and even told me not to clean one of the area rugs because it would ruin it. This was a big job, and he worked methodically until all pieces were done.

There was a special offer so it was a special price. I wouldn't call them excellent. The quality of work wasn't really exceptional but was average. I might try one of the other highly rated companies before I use them again. There were a few coffee stains that should have come up but are still slightly visible.

They came at the designated time and were very professional and very nice. He charged me less than what was quoted since I described it dirter than he thought! Honesty! So rare. It was a great experiance and quick, they were in and out and did a great job! I will always use them for carpet cleaning.

They were good. They were very accommodating. They did the job well. Their price was good. I would use them in the future.
