HAGOOD CARPETS

Very badly. On July 9, 2019 we paid $5,896.63 for 1,048 sq ft of vinyl plank flooring with a Lifetime Warranty and about six weeks after it was laid it began to cup. I called Mr. Eddie Haygood and told him about it and he came and looked and said he would get a factory rep to come and look. It took almost 2 months before one finally came and when he did he said the problem with our floors was the way they were installed. He even stood a credit card up between two end boards when he was here. It is 28 miles from Canton to where we live and when the installer, Mr. Jamie George who was hired by Mr. Haygood, arrived my husband questioned him about acclimating the floors to our home he said it was not necessary because where they were stored was about the same temperature as our home. Take in to consideration they sat on our driveway in a cargo trailer for two days in July. (This is not counting a trip from the warehouse which I believe is in the Dallas area.) I waited several weeks waiting for Mr. Haygood to call me to tell me what the rep had said but he never did so I finally called him. He told me the rep said there was "nothing wrong with our floors", this is after he had said what he did about the "problem with the floors" when he was here. I continued to call Mr. Haygood for nearly a year trying to get something done about my floors but he kept ignoring me. (In fact, between Sept 2019 and Oct 2020 I called him a minimum of 15 times and emailed him two times.) Finally in May 2020 I emailed the manufacturer which is LW Flooring, which was also ignored so I emailed again July 21, 2020 and finally got a response. She told me to call Mr. Haygood and I told her I had many times and he only ignored me. She must have contacted him because when I called Haygood Carpets, I think sometimes in Sept 2020 and spoke with his dad, he told me an independent rep was suppose to come out When one finally came the first thing he noted was how badly our floors were cupping. He even had my husband lay down on the floor so he could show him how he could see the light from his flashlight on the other side of a level he had on the floor. When he left he said he would have a report in to LW Flooring in a few days. Finally in Oct 2020 I called LW Flooring and she said she had received an email from the independent rep regarding the report. She most definitely said she had forwarded it to Mr. Haygood, but when I ask her if she would forward a copy to me she refused but to call him and tell him to forward it to me. When I did he told me she had "called" and spoken to his dad and our claim had been denied. Seems kind of strange that the factory rep said the "problem" with our floor and the independent rep kept commenting on how bad our floors were. Also seems kind of strange that I cannot get the email regarding my floors. Yet, my claim was denied. Hum, something smells fishy to me regarding this whole thing. He refuses to honor our Lifetime Warranty, which is a breach of contract. In the mean time I continue to live with these gosh awful looking floors. Not only looking awful, they have started to pop when we step on certain boards. This is really quite is depressing.

They came back and recleaned a spot on the carpet and the arms of the chairs. They did not charge for the redo.

Their prices were better than other places I looked. Their salesman are very good. I can't say enough good about them. I would use their services again in the future.
