I thought they did a good job at the time. However, the toilet installation was done incorrectly. As a result, soon after (just a few days) it was completed, we had a leak overnight that caused significant damage. They fixed it as soon as I told them about it but it should never have happened. I attribute it to poor quality workmanship or just plain carelessness. In addition, within a couple of years the calking around the bathtub appeared to be cracking and in general, not applied properly.

They came and gave an estimate but it was a little bit higher than others I had so I went with another contractor. The only thing negative I could say is that they didn't explain their process at all. The guy that gave the estimate just came in, listened to what I wanted, took measurements, and left. He really didn't say much more than hi or bye. They were very nice and responded fairly quick by phone.

I called twice to request a bid for a remodel project in Granbury. When they finally returned my calls, I was told they did not do business in Granbury because it was farther than they like to travel... They need to update their website and remove Granbury from the areas they serve.
Description of Work: Provider lists Dallas, Tarrant, Ellis, and parts of Parker and Hood counties as their service area. They specifically list Granbury on their website.

The work is done by a father and son team. Because it is only the two of them, you cannot be in a hurry. But if you are not in a hurry, you will be very pleased with the end result. Their work is meticulous and thorough and they were true and quot;custom buildersand quot;. For example, we had some granite left over from our new bathroom countertop. They suggested using that granite to top off the seat of the bench they built in the shower, to cover the window sill by the tub etc. It added elegance to the overall look of the bathroom and we're really glad they recommended it. In a nutshell, their work was fairly priced and professional. They have a retail outlet (The Floor Barn) that you can pick out your tile (or hardwood etc.) but otherwise you will need to shop for your tub, toilet etc. and they will install these components as part of their work. At some point down the road we will do more remodeling in our home and we will not hesitate to hire them again. They do what they say they will do when they say they will do it. Also during the work (our job lasted about two weeks) they are very good about cleaning up before they leave each day so that the mess is kept to a minimum, as much as is possible during construction anyway.
Description of Work: Gutted our master bathroom and rebuilt it.

James and his dad are wonderful. they did a perfect job and cleaned up after themselves each day. they started out only doing the master bath, but that expanded to the guest bath and then also the kitchen floors. the shower in the master bath was taken down to the studs and completely rebuilt using some product that they sell. That's how i met them. i went into their store to get some information on the shower product. they were very responsive, returned my calls, and their bids were right on the money. At the time i was dealing with a flaky contractor that i originally hired to do some stuff and James worked around his nonsense with no pressure. Their work included installing the cabinets, doing the plumbing, and the shower doors in the guest bath and referring me to a cabinet maker and granite person. They also had to remove a soffit in both baths and refigure the lights. They did the complete shower in the master bath and tiled both floors. They came to my house while i was gone at work. I trust them completely in my house when i'm not there. They were there so much, my dogs got depressed when they weren't there anymore. I'm considering doing my kitchen cabinets and James will be the first one I call.
Description of Work: Installed new sink and cabinets in two bathrooms, installed tile flooring in the 2 bathrooms and also in the kitchen and laundry room, installed a complete shower in the master bath and shower doors in the guest bath. they also did the lighting and the plumbing for the sinks and shower.

We wanted to remodel our bathroom for a long time and have been looking for a reliable company. Putting on the Fix kept us informed about the process from start to finish, they were knowledgable and experienced. We had a chance to pick the exact materials we wanted and they have been very patient as our choices kept changing. Our new bathroom looks great! Thank you!
Description of Work: We wanted to remodel our bathroom for a long time and have been looking for a reliable company. We contacted Putting on the Fix based on reviews we read on Angie's List, and I must say, we were extremely pleased with the experience. The demolition process is naturally messy; however, they kept the place very clean. New shower pen was installed, and so was new tiles and granite countertops.

This company was nothing but professional from the first contact until the day the job was completed. If they told me they would be there at 9:00a.m. they would be in my drive at 8:50a.m. They actually ended up starting the work a full week earlier than originally projected. Each day they would begin by laying tarp from the entrance of the garage to the work site in order to prevent any residue being tracked through my house. They were quiet, professional, patient with my husband's propensity to worry, and sensitive to the special needs connected to working in our house. At the end of each day, they cleaned up the work site of all trash, tools, etc, and rolled the tarp up on their way out. They communicated with me each step of the way, and were available by phone even after hours. The work was done in a timely manner, the only delay being due to a tardy plumber. The shower is beautiful, and perfect in terms of meeting the needs that we have. I have already referred a friend to them, and will use them again in the future. Of all the contractors I talked to about this project, I felt that the Putting on the Fix people were most attentive to listening to what I wanted and did their best to deliver exactly that. I will definitely use them on future projects!

We decided to go with the other company due to the detail in the estimate, and with their response to our needs.
Description of Work: Asked for an estimate for remodeling two bathrooms and flooring (tile) in kitchen and dining room areas. The representative showed up promptly at the appointed time, took measurements, etc. and returned an estimate to us in a reasonable amount of time. However, we had, in the meantime, received an estimate from another company that was very detailed, so much so that the two could not be compared.

They did a really nice job. I thought they were very reasonable. It was a fairly big-sized patio that they tiled. I provided the tile, but the mask and the grout itself would have costed about $300. It was two full days of work, doing the tiling and the grouting and everything. I thought it was very reasonable. I used them about six months ago to tile a floor. They were extremely helpful.

I called for an estimate and Brian was here the very next day. Once I decided to use Putting on the Fix I met with him and his mom at their shop in Burleson. They helped me in picking out the tile and granite and color coordinating everything. The job went very smoothly. They showed up promptly every day, cleaned up behind themselves and did everything I asked of them. It is a family business and a very nice family to work with. i will definitely use them again. In fact, I had them give me an estimate on our master bathroom before they left. I am very pleased with their workmanship, ethics and overall experience.
Description of Work: We had the upstairs bathroom remodeled which included tearing down a wall and opening up the space. We replaced the tub, toilet, tile around shower, tile flooring, and granite countertops. They had to put new texture on walls and paint. I had all new fixtures installed.

I contacted Brian with Putting on the Fix to receive a quote on a bathroom remodel. He came the next day to look at the job, and I had a price quote from him by the weekend. I purchased items for the job, such as the new tub, countertop, and fixtures. Putting on the Fix purchased the tile, grout, paint, showerboard, and other supplies. I had a difficult time finding the exact vanity and linen cabinet that I wanted. I was getting ready to custom order them from a home supply store, when Brian mentioned that he though the could be custom built locally at a lower price. He contacted two carpenters for me, secured bids, and presented me with the lower one. I was able to have the exact cabinets that I wanted built. The project lasted approximately 9 days. There were a few day where the project was not active, while we were waiting for the countertop company to finish cutting and polishing the granite. Some of the work was even completed while we were gone on vacation, so we didn't have to be in the way! Putting on the Fix is a family owned company. They are friendly, very easy to work with, extremely professional, and honest. Others in the profession, including the cabinet maker and the countertop company also reported positive experience working with Putting on the Fix.

This company was professional from start to finish. The flooring person showed up on time to bid the job. He had a source for material, but I had already selected some from a home improvement center. I picked the flooring up and delivered it to the site, but they even offered to do that for me. The installers showed up on time and did a professional job with the installation. They cleaned up behind themselves and removed all trash from the job site. I would highly recommend them for any home improvement need, and will call them again.

They stayed with the initial bid even though the scope of the work became more involved as we went along (mainly due to my changes). I picked them for the work since they were familiar with my request of special floor underlayment material and the use of non-staining epoxy grout. They are a family run business and did all the work themselves (no subs).

The facade was very kind and professional, returning phone calls promptly and worked with price. They came on time but work was done very slowly at first. This is literally a family run business. Only one man working on the job the first day, so it was not as fast as the job could have been done. From start to finish it was 4 days. I repeated many times that we wanted a smooth finish. When it the drywall was installed there were large gaps in between sheets of drywall to which he assured me would be covered smoothly (I have it on video). When it was time to do the sanding the whole family came in, Mom, Dad and 2 sons. Not well equipped as most was hand sanded ceiling without masks or drywall lift. But they were kind and kept working. When they said they were through I pointed out how the seams still showed and still show to this day. The father and I both worked on a seam the last day and eventually I gave up on communicating what smooth was. I worked on all the seams after they left for a couple of days. The finished job was not what I had hoped and I had to switch to flat paint to help hide the seams (they still show), but it could have been worse. It is sometimes more trouble to complain than to live with it.

They did a beautiful job in a time efficient manner. They went above and beyond. For example, on the exterior railing, they had to purchase additional paint - as the wood was really soaking up the paint. They didn't charge us for the extra time or cost of the extra paint. The interior project was hard because a light color paint joins a dark red paint. They did a meticulous job cutting in the lines where the two colors of paint joined. They were very pleasant to talk with and have in my home! I would recommend Putting on the Fix to anyone without hesitation! Thanks, Sue!!
Description of Work: They repainted a 3 year-old paint job on the interior of my house and a railing on the exterior. The interior project consisted of a very large interior wall, including arched cut outs. The flat paint, the original painters used, made it hard to clean the scuffmarks in the area where barstools were. The exterior project was a railing on a second floor balcony, which we suspect only had one coat of paint originally.
