+ -1 moreDave came out and inspected the roof and helped me with all the insurance claims for hail damage. He was very patient with me as I researched and chose the materials and color. He gave me good advice and completed the job in a timely manner. In particular, he made sure that some vulnerable areas around a skylight and fireplace were done the way they should have been done in the first place. The workers came on time and did a good job. The roof looks great. Lots of neighbors have commented on it.
Description of Work: Completely replaced my roof---multiple layers, very tedious job done well.

+ -1 morehe was insulted that i was getting quotes from other angies list members, and said he wont do business with someone that does not trust him, yet refused to give me a firm price quote in writing, when i asked him to do so !! he wanted a just trust me type relationship, which i was unwilling to do !!
Description of Work: mr. monkl was very responsive, came out 10 am day following my call, however, he seemed knowledgeable, yet wanted me to sign papers allowing his co to represent us with thhe insurance co, yet never gave me a firm quote.. another angie's list member showed up as he was leaving to give me a quote, & mr monk was upset by this. initially i trusted him, yet after reading the forms i signed, it was not a proposal as i thought, but was a binding contract. when i called mr monk back on this, & asked for a price estimate in writing, he said if you want to shop the price around, i'm not interested in working with you, good luck to you. this was finw with me, because afterward i did not truly trust his fast shuffel approach, & his un-willingness to give me a firm price quote in writing !! CAVEAT EMPTOR !! LET THE BUYER BEWARE !! mr. monk is easily offended, and not entirely trustworthy in my opinion, for refusing to give me a firm price quote in writing, preferring the--just trust me approach, which i dis-liked and was not ready to accept !! BE CAREFULL WITH THIS CO, THEY MAY BE OK, YET, NOT WILLING TO BE UPFRONT WITH A FRIM QUOTE & PRICE GUARANTEE !! i am a retired CPA, and am carefull when dealing with major purchases like a roof for $ 10 to $ 12, 000 !!!
