+ -1 moreVery well, installers very courteous, hard workers, moved very heavy furniture with obvious expertise, did an excellent job, made sure to clean up afterwards.
Description of Work: Replaced carpeting throughout the house. Made selection and purchase understandable and easy. Friendly staff, no high pressure. Very pleased with the quality, price and installation.

+ -1 moreBiggest issue we have is with the "T-Molding", which was installed between the new and existing flooring. Were told by salesman, Jim Renfro, that we would not even notice it was there. That was pure BS. Not only is it not an exact match the new flooring, it sticks up enough that grandkids can trip over it. Had we known that, we would have paid the extra money to butt the new flooring up against the existing. But, again, Mr. Renfro said that if the floorings weren't an exact match, it wouldn't look good. What doesn't look good is the T-molding! Should also point out that although the installers did a good job overall, we had to tell them to put something down to protect the existing floor they had to walk across to go outside to their tools. Probably being generous to give Elite Floors a "D".
Description of Work: Installed wood flooring in our family room and master bedroom.

+ 3 moreI had a "friend" of a friend start a remodel on my guest bathroom. He removed all the old tile floor and old tile shower surround. Then he stopped showing up and refused to finish the project due to "family issues". Left with a concrete floor and drywall shower, I called Elite Floors (because they were recommended to me by a co-worker)+. Randy James made time to come out THAT day to get me an estimate. He was polite, funny, and down to earth. He took some measurements and wrote out a quote for me. After signing the contract and paying half down, his sub-contractors, John and Nathan, showed up to start the project right away. They were thorough and efficient. They definitely know their stuff! They finished the entire project in three days. They even went out of their way to replace the baseboards (which wasn't in the contract)! When they were done, they cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend the company! If you go with elite, be sure to ask for john and nathan! We will definitely go to them first from now on for our home remodel projects!

+ -1 moreI had a horrible experience with them. The did not value my opinion or my input. They did not do a quality job. They took way too long to complete the project. The owner of the business would argue with me whenever I would call him to complain about something that they did not do right or something that I would like changed. They will no longer return my phone calls. They keep sending the same gentleman to my home, when I have specifically requested them not too. I have been very disappointed.
Description of Work: I used Elite Floors & Stone Design to remodel my kitchen and bathroom.

+ -1 moreTook too long, was amateurish in quality, poor result. I wish that I had known about Angie's List before this job. I selected the kitchen tile installer based on Angie's List after I subscribed. What an improvement!
Description of Work: A nightmare experience! Tile two baths: Installer arrived late, left early or no-showed over a 4 week installation period. Amateur quality and tile setting skills. Installer argued with my wife, wouldn't take direction and was beligerent. I took 3 days off from work to get problems with the installation quality fixed. Crooked tiles, slanted tiles on a straight wall, uneven tile levels at the joints. Wrong accent tiles ordered by Bill Cohn. Reordered with a severe upcharge to us. This should have been a one week job. Change wall plumbing and sink plumbing to accomodate all new bath fixtures: Bill Cohn's plumber left the sink P Traps leaking on 3 of 4 sinks. Later corrected after we cleaned up the water pools in the sink cabinets. Used gobs of plumber's putty to seal one joint. The wall plumbing for the master bath tub installed 1.5" off center to the tub drain. When asked to center the wall fixtures to the tub drain, the plumber strongarmed the pipes to a close proximity but not on center. We hired another plumber to fix the problem after this plumber said that he had fixed it and had left the jobsite. This caused the granite vendor to have to refabricate the granite backsplash section surrounding the wall fixtures. A horrible experience all around. The end product does not look very good. We hired another (from Angie's List) tile layer to redo our kitchen floors after the bad experience with ELITE. The kitchen floors now look great, level, neat joints and the installer was agreeable, cooperative and insured our satisfaction. I would never recommend Elite to anyone and will make sure that I relate my bad experience with them when anyone asks who did our bathroom remodel.job.

+ 1 moreWe hired Elite on the recommendation of a friend who had just had the same work done at their house. The people at Elite were great to work with - friendly, punctual. They came out and gave us an estimate, gave us plenty of leeway on what work we wanted to do versus what they would do (and for how much). Their subcontractors who did the actual work weren't nearly as punctual, but their work was decent. Our bathroom was a little odd as far the plumbing went, and they had to do some extra work but that was all accomplished without much fuss. They did, however, on the last day put in the requested seat in the shower and for some reason put in the very last tile extremely crooked. The seat was also not exactly squared up. My husband went by Elite to pay them and told them about these two issues. They said they'd have the subcontractors call us the following week. When we called back the next week because we hadn't heard anything, Elite was under the impression that it had already been taken care of. The subcontractors came back within the next couple of days, and fixed the bad tiles and explained the reason for the seat issue. In the process, they did crack the baseboard, but luckily that was a cheap fix on us.
Description of Work: We hired Elite to take out the bathtub in our spare bathroom and install a new tile shower in that same space. Elite did both the tile work and the plumbing.
