They never show on the assigned date, they miss weeks but still want all the money. Then the mess up and wait to bill you and you get hit with 3-4 months at a time. Horrible service. They blew out my backwash hose and never told me, when the hose blew it covered my back yard with the dirty water and that was a day before my house went on the market.
Description of Work: Monthly service on my pool.

The technician wrote a false report to American Home Sheild stating someone or something had leaned against the the pool plumbing. This never happened nor did the technician even talk about these concerns with my husband. Basically because of his ignorant, unqualified assumptions our claim was denied. I will go on to say my experience with people who are contracted out by American Home Sheild have been all the same. I have yet to have one qualified company to come out the they contracted with.
Description of Work: The provider was contracted out by American Home Sheild. There were multi plumbing leaks in pool plumbing. Technician told my husband this was the type of job his company loved to do and it would be not problem getting it fixed. Left and told us he would get back to us. Never did. We called several times and the company did not return our phone calls just to check the status.

Description of Work: I had this company drain, and acid wash my pool. It had Black algae or mold imbedded into the plaster. They got it all out and my pool looks great. This is a family owned company and the whole family was out working. The owners were doing the work also. I respect that. They were helpful and answered all of my questions. Got the work done on time and I will be using them for my weekly maintenance.

Done-Right is really, really bad.... I suppose that I should give a little background info here; My pool is around nine years old. Always worked fine...then last year the pool/spa heater started working about half of the time. First the heater wouldn't stop running....then the thing just wouldn't come on. My wife and I use American Home Shield so we called them right away when we began to have problems with the heater. AHS sent Done-Right to our home to diagnose the problem (last summer). As far as I can tell, Done Right has only made the pool heater worse. Furthermore, they are very sloppy about keeping appointments, calling to let you know how the repair went, and just sloppy in general where they work (they leave trash, parts, etc...on the ground). Since the beginning of last summer, Done-Right has been to my home to work on my pool around seven times. This is just one example of their crummy service (but I have others): Deborah from Done-Right scheduled an appointment for this past Friday 06/06/14 to replace the pressure switch on my pool heater. As usual, nobody called me to let me know how the repair went. So after work on Friday (around 6 pm) I called them. No answer, so I left a couple of messages. Deborah finally calls back to tell me that the heater still doesn't work. I very gently (because I have learned how fast that she can get "prickly") reminded her that our pool heater hasn't worked correctly in a long time and that my kids were hoping that this would be our "lucky year". This is also just a week after she had me replace my filters and a gauge ($495) Of course, she immediately became defensive (like she always does if you question her) and informed me (like she always does if you question her) that she has been in the industry for twenty years and been in business for fifteen. Then she made a snarky little comment about how her tech had to clean grass from my grass filter which they took a picture of and which she claimed could have put her at liability (whatever that means). I was ready for that because she has played the "you don't take very good care of your pool" card with me before. So I told her that she must be thinking of another address because I had checked the filter that morning before I left for work and that there were only a couple of June bugs in it (which I cleaned out). Then she dropped this bombshell on me: "No" she says, "we were there yesterday". So just for the record: I take the lock off of the gate and make sure that my grass filter is perfectly clean before I leave for work on Friday morning in order to avoid unpleasant commentary from Deborah. But that was just a waste of time because Done-Right had already been to my home the day before without so much as a phone call. Then they don't bother to call or leave a note after they apparently hop the fence to do a repair that doesn't even fix my pool. But they had plenty of time to take a photo of the grass in my grass filter. Does this sound like a professional pool repair company? Two more things (just for the record): 1) We Have allowed Done-Right to keep returning to our home because that is the only pool repair company that AHS has on the books for our area. And we are hopeful that one day we will catch "lightning in a bottle" and Done-Right will actually fix our pool (even if it's an accident). 2) There was grass in the grass filter because I mowed on Wednesday. Had I known that Done-Right would show up a day early I would surely have made sure that the filter was clean because "a clogged filter" is Done-Rights "go-to" diagnosis :)
Description of Work: Replaced a pressure switch on pool heater. They have been to my home many times in the past year and a half.

I found them through our home warranty company. They did not demonstrate a way to satisfy me as a customer when I expressed concerns.
