Old Stone Granite & Marble (OSGM) was quick to respond when I asked if they were interested in the job but we had problems from there on. We agreed (by email) what work would be done, by what date it would be completed, and how much it would cost. Despite multiple calls / emails after that point, I received no response from OSGM. When I did reach them on the phone, they hastily agreed to an on-site meeting to start the work and then did not show up. They apologized and we set another meeting. After waiting 15 minutes into that second meeting, I called and was told that their truck was stuck in traffic in Houston (over an hour away). No excuse was offered for why they did not call to let me know they would not make it. Later, when they finally did start the work, they put the wrong backsplash tile in. When I pointed this out, I was told that they did not have the tile we had asked for on hand. They knew that was not what we had ordered but put it in anyway. When I asked what they were going to do about it, they offered to do the tile work for cost. In the end, we adjusted pricing for finishing the work about two weeks after they said it would be completed and for putting in the wrong tile. However, this was really more trouble than it was worth. Their pricing was excellent and the completed work was fine but their overall professionalism was abysmal.
Description of Work: Formica kitchen countertop was removed and replaced with a granite countertop. Formica backsplash was replaced with travertine tile. Sink was installed and holes were cut for later faucet installation.

I am trying to work with them. After checking with them I would go with them for my granite tops. I went to some open house events and when I asked who did the granites countertops and they would say Old Stone and they say they are the best. I went to their yard and they have a warehouse where they work. They also have a business office and they have stones in the yard. I can’t speak about the work yet because they haven’t done the work. He has come out and measured. He came out pretty quickly to give me the estimate. The girl in their office is his sister, and she was really good. He walks through the yard with you and names the granite that you ask.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from Old Stone Granite & Marble for granite countertops last year.

They do excellent work, but it took a while to get them out here - we live about 45 miles from Bryan, Tx. Their prices are very competitive.
Description of Work: Replaced kitchen & bath ceramic tile counter tops with granite counter tops.
