Things I have had to repair/replace: *Repaint walls because the paint peeled. *Molding bowing from walls. *Cracks everywhere (more than I've seen in other homes from normal settling). *Repair sheet rock because the shower was installed improperly *Replace transition pieces between laminate and tile because what they put in was basically cardboard and not glued in properly. *Replace faucets, lighting hardware, and shower curtain rod because they rusted. *Added another vent in both bathrooms because the small ones they put in are poorly positioned. *Replant trees because the ones they planted were still in the plastic containers and died. *Re-design front landscaping because the shrubs put in were not meant for such a small area (roots went under sidewalk and broke sprinkler pipe). *Replace tiles in kitchen, hallway, and bathroom that cracked. The tiles in the kitchen have actually cracked several times and is now all the way across the kitchen. Now, we're looking at hiring someone to find out if the foundation is causing the cracks or if we can just avoid the problem by replacing all of the tiles with something of higher quality. By the time we replace/repair everything about half of the house will be new!
Description of Work: Our home was made by Imperial Homes, and I would not recommend them or any homes that they have built. For the last 5 years, I have done nothing but repair and replace things. The owner never returns calls when I leave a message with his wife and they don't have voicemail after hours. Whenever I go to find out what some material was that they used (so I can have it matched for repair), contractors and the people at Lowe's/Home Depot inform me that it was the cheapest and least durable product on the market.
