He did the job quickly and efficiently, didn't leave any mess. In short, this is an excellent plumbing service. I'll use them whenever I need a plumber.

+ -1 moreThis is the second time we have used Holman Plumbing. Job was scheduled for 10:30. Secretary called to inform us that crew was running behind. At 12:00 Secretary called us to tell us that truck, enroute to our location, had blown a tire. Crew showed up at 1:30, apologized and went to work. Job was completed in 30 minutes. Quick, clean and with the $25.00 coupon bill was only $50. This is the second time I have used them and the job was great. And while the crew was late, it was not something intentional and I chalked it up to "life happens". I very much appreciated the Holman secretary keeping us informed of arrival time and what was going on. I would recommend Holman again.

I recently purchased a house, and based on AL reviews I called Holman's to come out to replace parts on two malfunctioning toilets. They were awesome! The lady on the phone was great to deal with and set us right up for a Friday appointment. The plumbers arrived right on time and they discovered that an additional part was needed in addition to the ones I had already purchased. No problem. They ran out and found the right flapper at a plumbing supply store and got us fixed right up. I love great service and this company doesn't disappoint. HIGHLY recommended.
Description of Work: They came to replace a couple of fill valves on a couple of Kohler toilets. I had already purchased the parts and they installed them for me.

+ -1 moreThe water actually came up some 15 feet away from the sight of the leak. Holman workers were able to locate the leak by blowing nitrogen into the lines. This meant they did not have to dig up the roots of my beautiful trees and saved hours of digging and damage to our yard. The workman were polite and considerate, not to mention responsive; I had workers here just 2 hours after my call and I imagine Monday mornings are more busy than any other day of the week. These men knew what they were doing and the charges were less than I anticipated. I will call them again.

+ 0 moreThe plumber who showed up, Alan, was wonderful -- Knowledgeable, cheery, and willing to explain so I understood. He was focused on his work, and he did all the work listed above, a remarkable amount of work, in just three hours. Hr cleaned up after his work. I provided most of the parts, but he did have to go out once to get a couple of parts. This is the way one dreams it will go. I will certainly use Holman's plumbing again.
Description of Work: Fixed a leaking toilet, quieted a noisy toilet, replaced the faucet in the kitchen sink, replaced the washing machine hoses, replaced two outside faucets, and cleaned out a drain in the front yard.

The job took longer than expected, two of the parts ordered had bad parts inside of them, Ray made sure the parts were fixed before re-installing. Ray took the time to explain to me what was going on with the original plumbing in the house, he never was bothered by my questions. We were not charged for the extra time. Ray made sure we were completely satisfied before he left. I will use Holman's again and again. I felt comfortable and their knowledge was exceptional. Worth every penny! Thank you Ray and Holman's for another great job.
Description of Work: Had to replace shower fixtures and valves. Items had to be ordered and shipped. Ray contacted me before placing order to make sure I was ok with the price of fixtures as well as what the labor would cost. He was very conscientious abut ordering the correct color to match the fixtures already in the bathrooms.

+ -1 moreturned out that all the toilet needed was the chain adjusted, which they did very quickly. tub faucets required replacement so they had to go to a supply house to get the necessary model. this did not take long and once they had the parts, the repair went quickly. the two guys that came out were friendly and professional and I thought the price was reasonable. plus I used the $25 off coupon from this website.
Description of Work: replaced leaking faucets in bathtub and checked toilet that kept refilling.

+ -1 moreWe called them out to fix a tub faucet that wouldn't stop leaking. I had purchased an entire new faucet but was told I didn't need it because the part to fix it was approximately $40 (although private discussion between the two men in the bathroom confirmed the cost was $38). So the total would be $75 labor and $40 for the part. I agreed. They went to get the part, returned, installed the part and then proceeded to tell me the part was actually $93 (for a contractor grade faucet that originally cost $35). I refused to pay and asked them why they would not call a customer when the part was more than double what was quoted. He finally admitted that it was a markup though we were thoroughly angry at this point and the owner was called. I was only charged labor because of this attempted "bait and switch". It's very sad that you pay your hard earned money to have something repaired, only for it to be reaffirmed that you can't trust anyone. He attempted to talk over me since I am female (I assume) and I had to call my husband to resolve the situation. The apprentice was very professional and friendly and Gary is the one who tried to pull the fast one and talked over me. Four weeks later and the faucet is leaking again.

I called Holman's Plumbing that day and left a message, they returned my call w/i an hour and offered to fix it for an overtime charge that day. I declined and they showed up Monday morning and replaced the hot water tank. My tenant said they were courteous and did a very professional job. I would hire them again!

Holman's service from the receptionist was very professional and responsive. The technician/plumber was very understanding to the urgency and had the hazard resolved within the hour. The plumber invited me out to see what he was doing then had me inspect his work when finished. First class company from start to finish. + 0 moreMaking the appointment was easy, but the plumber they sent did get lost so they were late. However he called and got directions from me. One missed letter in my street name was the problem. He was very apologetic and did not charge for the extra time it took to complete the installation. Had apprentice with him. I was o.k. with him taking some time to teach. was happy overall with service and courtesy of both men. However, they both tracked mud from their previous job into my house. Thankfully it was dry so it only took a vacuum to clean up. No indication that they noticed they were tracking in mud. Plumber was chatty. I don't mind chatting, but if you do Gary may rub you the wrong way, but he really is a nice an knowledgeable man. He gave me several plumbing tips that would help save me money in the future. It was worth the chat.
Description of Work: Fixed leaky toilets in two bathrooms. Installed new floats and one flap, replaced one interior shut off valve. Also adjusted a leaky pipe under sink at no extra charge. /html> job. Great guys!!

+ -1 moreRepairman came to the house, assessed the situation, repaired the downstairs toilet, and explained that the upstairs toilet needed to be replaced because of a crack in the ceramic. He recommended some particular brands of toilets and indicated that he would come back when we had selected one. When the selection was made he picked up the toilet, installed it, and took the old toilet away. Work was very professional and he cleaned up after himself. Price was a little more than I anticipated, but it was fair for the materials and the amount of work that needed to be done.

To my surprise, Gary showed up at my house within the hour and had my issue resolved in less than an hour. He took the time to explain what the issue was and even gave me the "dummies" version of under-the-sink plumbing and how to resolve this if it were to happen again. Ever the professional, Gary was a pleasure to have in our home to get us back up and running!

They also called before arriving to let me know when they would be here, which is such a nice plus for this company. We will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Holman Plumbing was prompt courteous and the charge was more than fair. I do not remember what date they came out but the charge was very reasonable, but at this moment I can't remember what the charge was. We will definitely use Holman Plumbing again in the future, in fact we do have some work that needs to be done again. When they came out they plumbed our generator from our propane tank, they spent a good deal of time and we were totally happy with the job.

+ -1 moreI had a very difficult situation with a leak in a bathroom of a twenty-five year old house. The leak had probably been misdiagnosed by another plumber before. There were multiple possibilities as many lines came together there in a two-story house. There was a possibility of the leak being in the slab which could prove to be a very costly and intrusive repair. Holman's plumber was extremely accommodating, coming on the weekend or after hours in order to carefully diagnose the problem and trying to find the best solution. I felt the plumber was extremely competent, sincere, and as mentioned before helpful in meeting my schedule needs as I had to coordinate this largely from out of town. I feared a big bill when all was said and done, but felt the charges were extremely reasonable (at least compared to other plumbers I have used) and was pleasantly surprised to find the cost quite fair considering the amount of time and parts involved.

Description of Work: Disposal side of kitchen sink clogged at rental home, plumber ran sink auger and unplugged it. As for the Quality of Service, Punctuality, Professionalism, I cannot comment as I was not there when the plumber showed up. However, I can say that I did not receive any complaints from the tenants. They did say the plumber took about 5 mins to complete the job. Unfortunately the minimum cost is $75 for the first hour then if the job takes longer it's charged by the 1/4 hour. Renee in the office was pleasant.

Description of Work: This is my second time using Holman's. The problem this time was that my tub faucet would not cut off. The plumber came out immediately and turned the main water off and assessed the problem. I was initially told that it appeared that the knob was stripped and that it would need to be replaced...approximately $6 for supplies. I was then told that the metal surrounding the cartridge would also need to be replaced. I was still thinking that the price for supplies would be minimal until I was later told that the kit ((plate, knob and metal part to surround the cartridge) needed to make the repair costs approximately $97 (I did not know this cost until everything was done...I should have asked). I looked online at a big box store and saw the same Moen kit for $37, which means there was a huge markup on supplies. With labor and supplies I paid $167 which was unexpected. I was also told that the distance between the faucet and the tile would be larger because of the way the repair needed to be done. The plumber used plumbing sealant to fill in the gap, but it does look weird. If I knew the costs of the kit ahead of time I would have purchased everything myself and obtained the look I wanted. The plumber (Gary) was very cordial and considerate to my family and work schedule.
