Holman's Quality Plumbing

This went very well. We found Holman's on Angies list and made an appointment for the next morning. The crew showed up on time. The broken flange problem turned up after we set up the appointment when we noticed water on the laundry room ceiling. Although this was a new and larger problem they tackled it as well as the other two issues. It required pulling the toilet, replacing the flange with a higher quality steel one and putting a board in under the floor to mount the flange more securely. Even before they honored the Angies List coupon the price was very reasonable considering the time required to do the fix. All the fixes were very satisfactory. Would definitely call them again.

They could not find the PRV and instead of arriving early in the morning to get it done they kept coming at 3-4pm. They would dig for a couple hours and then say they have to come back. This occurred four times Over a week. Finally the manager came out and found it in less than an hour. They did however pay for sod to cover the hole they dug from the meter to our flower bed. Other work they did was good.

Great! Even showed us how to do it and told us what type and where to buy a cheap tool in case it happens in the future.

He came out almost right away. He knew exactly what to do and he did it right away. He got it fixed in a timely manner. He did the job.

Great. The came out the same day I called. The scheduler was very courteous and was able to schedule us immediately. Raymond and Shelby were our service men and they were knowledgeable, efficient and also very courteous. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

They scheduled an appointment to come out and replace the hot water heater two days from the time of the original call and promptly showed up when they said they would. They did a very good job replacing the heater and installing carbon detectors to bring the house up to code. They also hauled away the old hot water heater. The only downside is that they exceeded the high end of their estimate by $75. Other than that, it was a good experience.

We've had Holman out several times to the college house and have been very pleased with their service and promptness to handle problems. Will continue to use them for our plumbing needs.

I have utilized Holman Plumbing for some time. Each time they are prompt. From the moment of my intake via telephone until a plumber responds to my concern they are communicating with me. In this case we had a fixture that had worn out over time and with a little help from me was beyond repair. The technician came out showed me the damage and explained what needed to be done including needing to contact Marble Craft to remove a piece of the shower stall panel. After further analyzation the technician and the Marble Craft owner concluded they could do the job without removing a panel. They were able to make an adjustment in the size of the hole and complete the repair. This was done at a fraction of the cost of what the initial repair was estimated. Thank you to both Holman and Marble Craft for taking care of our household and keeping the trust that was have so easily established with this company.

We had a leak in our master shower that we could not pinpoint the source. We have contacted a couple of other local plumbing companies for assistance, but one did not show and one did not help. The plumber with Holman's Plumbing was at our house the same day and was able to rule out the pipes and plumbing as the source and narrowed the search to grouting and/or the underlying shower pan. He recommended a local marble and tile company for regrouting the shower and possibly replacing the shower pan. Very professional. Very nice. Highly recommend Holman's Plumbing and will certainly use them again, if needed.

We received a note from the Utility Company on Thursday evening that we had a "yard line leak on our side of the meter box". The note stated that we would need a plumber and that our water would remain off until the leak was repaired. I called Holman's plumbing and they were willing to come out over night to repair the leak. Since emergency repairs cost time and a half labor, we opted to wait until the next day. At first we were given the impression that they would be out Friday afternoon and finally got confirmation that they would be there at 4:30 PM. I rated them a "B" on punctuality because no one showed until 7 PM and we never got a phone call about the delay. When they finally did arrive, they still gave us the usual labor rate and finished the job up so that we could get our water back on. The plumber was very courteous, willing to explain things to us, and did a great job fixing the problem and cleaning up afterwards. The final cost was close to the verbal estimated range they gave us over the phone before even seeing leak, so we were happy with the cost.

Holman's plumbers came out a little over a week ago to work on a leak under the house. This time we had a problem with the toilet flushing and not filling up again. We had also been having low water pressure issues in our bathrooms for quite a while and it was getting worse. They came quickly, on-time and fixed both problems within an hour. Their staff are experienced with old houses, are no-nonsense, efficient and speedy. When they left they said that their would be no charge because the problems may have been exacerbated as a result of the water having been turned off and on during their last visit. Now THAT is good service and I have deleted all other plumbers from my address book.

I found Mike to be a vey professional, pleasant young man who was quick and responsive to my calls, he took the time to explain in detail many thing that could be wrong and how he would go about repairing them, what he would be responsible for and what damage he could cause finding the leak and things he would not be responsible for repairing like dry wall, his pricing was fair and when through a strange happenstance where I could narrow down where the leak could be his pricing was the fairest around. Through odd circumstances I used another plumber. I joined Angies list to find a plumber since I did not have a relationship with one, if I have another plumbing problem ( I hope I don't) I will not shop around. I will call Holmans Plumbing first i know their pricing is fair, they are knowledgable about problems, tell you what they will and will not do, and next time I will evaluate the quality of their work. I expect it to be as professional as the rest of their preformance.

They were punctual, knowledgeable, polite, thorough and efficient. I will call them again in the future.

Showed up on time, did all the requested work to our satisfaction. Price was reasonable for work performed would recommend them to others.

We decided that the estimate amount was excessive. In about 30 minutes I managed to clean out what appeared to be dog hair (we just purchased this house) from the bath drains. I had not done this before but it did not take long for me to figure it out. The lavatory faucet was ok. It just needed the cutoff valve to be turned on. The water heater still needs to have both heating coils connected which is a simple task. Also, needed is the overflow & overpressure piping run through the adjacent outside wall and down to first floor level. I am still evaluating in which manner to finish this project, but it is not a ~$1200 project. I suppose not knowing what the clogs on the bathtub drains drives a contractor to make a conservative and high estimate but if that were the case maybe I should have been given an estimate just to reconnect/repipe the water heater and then told that the most effective way to do the bathtub drains would be on an hourly basis.

I just moved to Bryan and I was leary about establishing a relationship with a new company. I came from Waco and had an excellent plumbing company there. I want to say right now " Holman's is my Bryan Plumber" I was so impressed by the lady on the phone to the gentleman sent out to fix the leak. I think his name was Dale. I believe in rewarding good service. I will be their customer as long as we live in Bryan.

Water heater needed replacement. Called in the afternoon, they had a tech out the next morning to provide a quote. The two men who showed up were very courteous, and did the work quickly and professionally. The old heater was in the attic and was difficult to get down, but they managed. I found the price for the service very fair, and am completely satisfied.

Over a period of 3 weeks, the house had a series of leaks; first in the garage, then in a bathroom, next in a bedroom adjacent to another bathroom, and finally in the utility room. Holman bypassed and repaired the first two leaks. When the third leak was noticed they knew it was something more serious and discovered that the plastic pipe embedded in the cement slab for the house had cracked in one or more places. They worked patiently and carefully with the insurance adjuster to to identify and document the leaks so that we could recover the maximum amount of insurance reimbursement. They finally decided to replace all original plastic pipe from the water meter to the house and then throughout the entire house. The house was replumbed through the attic with drops to all water outlets. Throughout the 5 weeks that we worked with Holman, they were punctual, polite, and professional. All costs of the initial repairs were applied to the comprehensive bill of replumbing the whole house. We cannot say enough nice things about the quality of the work and the professionalism of Holman Plumbing.

Got the impression that they did not want the job or building case for large price tag. Several days to get estimate and was much higher than other plumbers contacted.

We are extremely pleased with the work done by Holman's and will definitely be calling them back when we have plumbing needs in the future.
