+ 4 moreHe is a gifted carpenter and does very beautiful, high quality woodwork, built-ins, etc. He gives terrific advice about design, structure, etc. His wife Connie is really good at advising with color selection, which is a hidden plus in my case. George is pricey, but very much worth it. I would use him for any major remodeling or repair and have done so in my past 3 homes. He also does custom building. He's an independent contractor, so it may take a few weeks before he can get to your job but when it is done you'll be pleased!
Description of Work: George has done many remodeling jobs for me over the past 20+ years: most recently he added a beautiful screened in porch; it is integrated seamlessly into the rooflines of the house and has become the envy of our neighbors. Before that he remodeled 2 bathrooms, with custom built-ins, cultured marble fixtures and slate floors, before that a kitchen, before that he turned a large attic storage space into a wonderful office. Prior to that, he reconfigured a hopeless tangle of plumbing, wiring, and 4 small (nearly useless) rooms and a hallway into a spacious open plan kitchen that became the focal point of the house. This project improved traffic flow and tied together several disparate parts of the house that had been created by adding on bits here and there. The project involved solving several tricky structural problems, reconfiguring several plumbing lines from the floor above, in addition to building several custom cabinets, etc.
