BC United Home Improvements

I contacted BC United Home Improvements and spoke to the female that answered the phone. I described to her the home repair work I needed. She said that she would give my information to "Chaz," their estimator, and that Chaz would call me to schedule a time to meet me and look at the work needed so that she could provide an estimate. I never heard back from anyone with BC United Home Improvement.

They came out the day of, and I asked for an estimate they said it would be $300-$500. I agreed and said it's not a problem. We called Them back and they said they needed a Building Permit. Today we called back, and he said he needed a building permit and a contract and would call me with a price. When he called back he quoted me $2500. We had to call them each time we needed an update, they never reached out with status updates or anything like that.

The employee that came to our house was punctual and honest with his estimate and always made sure that we were satisfied with the work that he did, and we were. I would recommend them to any of my friends, because I know your company cares about their customers.

I paid something in the beginning and then paid the rest when they were through. I had used them 7 years ago and was so pleased with their work that I called them again for this project. This time I was not so pleased. They had a young man who was eager and willing but not well trained and not well supervised. I don't think that they were up to the quality that I had remembered before. I will not use them again in the future.

The estimator was on time and seemed to do a fine enough job of taking measurements and getting the data that he needed to provide the estimate. An hour after he left, I remembered that there was a question I had wanted to ask, but forgotten. I called and left a message for him to get back to me. He never did. The estimate was performed on a Monday, and we were told that we would have the estimate by Saturday. The following Tuesday, I called to follow up and ask what was going on. I was told that the estimator would get my message and get back with me later that day. I have yet to hear anything from them. If I ever do get an estimate from them, I can't feel safe contracting work to a company that doesn't value communication or timeliness.
