HOUSE REPAIRS by Ray

The crew did a great job stripping a vaulted popcorn ceiling, installing wood tile, painting and replacing trim in our living room. They were punctual, clean and quick, but thorough. The attention to detail was impressive. We brought them back for exterior work, replacing rotten wood all over our 2 story house and patio. He helped us prioritize and worked with our budget, letting us know what needed to done and what might wait for the next round. We thought the price was a little high, but once we received 2 other estimates, his price was in the ballpark, and we were very happy with the quality of the work and thoughtfulness of the crew. Some of the other handymen were quick to offer shortcuts that would look okay, but not be sound--a problem for the next homeowner, one said. We wanted it done correctly, and Ray and his crew offered helpful advice as well as quality workmanship. We will be calling Ray when we're ready for the next round of repairs and remodeling.

Work was performed on time and within budget, except for owner changes that were negotiated at the end of the work. The workmen were polite, considerate, professional, and competent. They moved furniture as required during the job, covered floors and furniture to protect from spills and dust, and returned furniture to its original locations at the end of the job. Work was of high quality and completely met our rather demanding standards. They cleaned up at the end of each day, leaving the house livable, if not always convenient. We occupied the house for all but two weeks of the work, when the popcorn ceilings throughout the house were removed and when an industrial paint primer was applied to assure a firm bond for new paint on the wood trim. Ray is sociable and will sit down with you to discuss your concerns. He is knowledgeable on a wide range of topics and we found his advice to be sound. He will be back to replace faucets, replace a gate in our fence, paint more exterior wood trim, and make some other repairs.

Mr. Marcano went up on my two story roof and took pictures of my roof confirming that I did not need a new roof. He emailed the pictures to me and saved me a great deal of money. He did come with good reviews from two of my friends. I should have used him and even though I didn't, he still came out and helped me on a Sunday with those pictures and confirming that I didn't have the missing shingles like the other company showed me on their smart phone. I will be using him in the future for any help I need. I highly recommend him.

They did a great job.

I had some repairs that needed to be done (holes patched, doors repaired, a little painting) and some very old bathroom vanities that needed to be replaced. Ray came out to see what needed to be done, and then returned the following day with a written estimate. He started the job the next day, and I am very pleased with the finished projects. Ray did an excellent job! I highly recommend House Repairs by Ray, and I am planning on calling him back in the near future to work on some other projects.
