CHARGED MORE THAN QUOTED, DIDN'T APPLY 20% DISCOUNT, DIDN'T CLEAN POOL CONCRETE SURFACES, DID'T RECOGNIZE THAT REAL PROBLEM WAS BAD WATER FILTER, FAILED TO STAY ON JOB, FAILED TO SUGGEST INEXPENSIVE WAYS TO REFILL POOL. SEEMED LIKE NICE GUY BUT I DIDN'T GET MY MONEY'S WORTH OF SERVICE.

Don Marikis, owner for Don?s Pool Serive came out on November 26, 2024 to December 23, 2024. Don stated that he could clear up the cloudy water in our pool, clean it, and winterize it. Each week I asked if he was going to clean and winterize the pool which he said yes. Don added phosphates two weeks in a row. Don added chemicals that I provided once a week. I kept the leaves cleaned out of the pool and clean the pool filter twice. I never could get a price amount other than pay for the gallon of phosphates. Don said his wife does all the billing. Don was always in a rush, never would return when he stated. Don had me empty the pool water, used his sump pump, and I filled the pool. The water is still cloudy, I provided the pool cover and covered the swim area because Don said his wife said no. I received a bill for $316.50 for services I did not receive plus do not agree on.

If you want to be over charged and get lousy service, this is your guy. I paid him to replace three bulbs in my pool. When the work was done he charge 2X price what others charged and the lights went out after 2 weeks. I called and text him and told him they lights went out. He wanted to charge me again to come back out. I decided to do it myself. I took the fixture that had water in it out of the pool. After taking it apart I noticed 1. the fixture was not cleaned around the surface. No wonder it leaked again after two weeks. All it would have taken is a light sand paper or a towel and soap to clean around the fixture to ensure longevity of the seal and bulb. Then I noticed the gasket around the fixture was split. He must have put my old gasket back on the fixture instead of replacing it. He did charge me for a new gasket, but the one I removed was not new. I have pictures. I do not recommend this company. lazy shotty work and over charging.

Weâ re glad we hired Don. He has gotten our pool and equipment back into good condition in a short time!
