Description of Work: Have called for 3 days straight and left messages. No one has called back.

Description of Work: The AC unit in our cabin near Lake Somerville quit working. I first called a Houston AC service company I had used in the past for an AC repair at our house in town. He checked out the cabin unit, diagnosed the problem as a burned out blower motor and, due to the age of the unit, recommended replacing the entire system at a cost of over $10,000.00. Since this is only a weekend cabin I really didn't want to pay that much. I was also at a loss, not knowing who to call in the Somerville area for another opinion. So, I joined Angie's List. After reading the reviews I called Allen's Air in Brenham. As this is a really busy time for AC installations, he was not able to come out on a Saturday to look at my system. Rather than leaving me without an option, he called a colleague, Danny, to come out to the cabin. Danny also diagnosed the problem as a burned out blower motor, but said he could repair the system by replacing the motor and rebuilding the blower assembly, noting that the rest of the system appeared to be ok despite its age. He took the blower assembly with him to repair back in his shop. We agreed to meet the following Friday, 7/17 at 10:00am for him to reinstall it. It is an hour and a half drive from my home in town to the cabin, so I left at 8:30am. Danny got tied up at another job and it was close to 11:00am before he arrived at the cabin. Once he got there he went right to work reinstalling the blower assembly and running a complete system check. He also washed out the outside unit and added a little Freon. After he was finished the unit ran much quieter, colder and with more airflow. All this for what I considered to be a very reasonable $395.00. I would definitely recommend Allen's Air and Danny to others and will be calling them back when it becomes necessary to replace the old system.

Description of Work: Ryan came out to do a seasonal check on our AC unit. After a very through check in our attic Ryan informed us that the unit is in good shape but the 33 yr old duct work needed replacing. He called the next day w/an estimate and returned when promised to do the work. We are very happy w/the work and are looking forward to lower cooling bills this coming summer.

Description of Work: Replaced Compressor Plug Harness and replace start and run capacitor. Tested and checked Freon.

Description of Work: My daughter's new rental home's heater would not work and it was during the first cold snap. The repairman came out very quickly, fixed the problem with no charge and even cleaned out the old filter.

Description of Work: Fixed Burnt wires and replaced dual run capacitor and added a 3 in 1 Compressor saver.

Description of Work: Replace a/c unit. It went real good. Called them back because when they installed unit in attic the house telephone went out. They came back and fixed the problem with a smile on their faces. Would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Removed old existing a/c system and installed me a completely new heating and air conditioning system, new digital Wi-Fi thermostat I can control from anywhere in the world with my phone or computer, also added some insulation to my attic. Cleaned up and hauled off old stuff. Also fixed the light in my attic that my husband couldn't seem to get fixed for the last 8 years.(He didn't even charge me for fixing it! :^)

Description of Work: They came out and installed Air conditioning and heating system fixed duct work and fixed my humidity problem.

Description of Work: Allen's Came out and diagnosed our system to be bad and beyond repair and needed to be replaced and brought up to the new energy codes, convert to new freon, and industry standards. Basically rip out the whole thing and start from scratch with a brand new system. They installed a complete new 5 ton 16 SEER Condenser , LP gas heat system, new Honeywell thermostat, new drain pans, drain lines, fixed low voltage wiring, insulated copper line set, concrete slab, Transition, plenum box,m starting collars, and completely seal system with Hard Cast. That was all copied from Invoice I received.

Description of Work: Solar vent for our A/C and the roof.

Description of Work: They installed a brand new AC unit. They also informed me that the furnace is still new.
