I first met with Mr. Gonzales ("the Contractor) on approximately January 25, 2020. We introduced ourselves to each other and then discussed six projects that my wife and I wanted to have completed in our home. In all, between January 29, 2020 and February 4, 2020, 6-contracts were signed. The Contractor's contracts required that he be paid 50% of the total project cost up-front. As per the contractor the front door was to be ordered on January 30, 2020. Shortly thereafter, the Covid-19 Pandemic began to spread throughout the USA. Next came a series of delays for various reasons (the contractor's workers couldn't return to this country, his son became ill with allergies, he also became ill, and his door supplier sent him the wrong door). I was understanding and accepted the Contractor's explanations for the delays and patiently waited for him to complete our projects. The contractor finally finished all of the work, except for the two doors for the custom cabinet in the master bathroom. My wife and I were dissatisfied with the finishing work of the doors. I specifically asked him: "if he had more time would he do a better job on the doors?" His reply was yes. I then asked him how long it would take him to redo the doors. His reply was "2-weeks". He also asked to take one of the cabinet doors. I anticipated he would use the door to make sure the doors matched each other. My wife and I agreed to give him an additional 2-weeks to complete the work, and he took the doors. I paid him the full balance of all six projects on June 1, 2020 (the same date that he took the doors). Since that date, the Contractor has not answered my phone call, my phone messages or my texts. I paid him the balance of his funds in good faith, yet, he ghosted me. In my final text to him I stated that if I had offended him in any way, let's discuss it. However, I have yet to receive a reply from him. Although me and my wife weren't completely satisfied with the quality of all of his work, we thought he was an honest man. At this point we just want him to return our 3-cabinet doors, and provide us with a warranty on his work (we already have a minor problem with the front door he installed).
