They did a terrible job and expected me to pay for work that they did not accomplish. We would never use them again and I recommended to the builder to take them off of the vendor list. We sent them a certified letter a year ago and the letter came back saying that they were not there anymore. They stopped taking my calls.

Initially, we were very impressed in the response for our request to install a 60" flat screen TV in our living room. I had requested that a three shelf system also be installed [which I was willing to provide]; but Mr. Curbello suggested using one of his - stating it would save us money. He and his son [or other helper] arrived at the designated time. They appeared to be very knowledgeable and professional. After they finished and left, I realized that our instructional manuals for our new Samsung Sound Bar and Blue Ray player were missing. Mr. Curbello's helper had taken out the boxes to be thrown away - evidently the manuals were in those boxes. I called Mr. Curbello on more than one occassion telling him we had no instructional manuals for the equipment that we provided. He stated that his helper had left them for us - but I informed him they were no where to be found. He suggested that I go on the Internet and try to download the instructional manuals for this equipent; I told him we did not even have the serial #'s or model #'s, since they had been thrown away in the boxes. No relief there. I re-called him about the missing 3rd shelf which we had already paid for; he informed me that he was willing to bring it to our home, but would have to charge us a $90.00 service call. This was totally unacceptable.
Description of Work: They installed the TV and shelf bracket, but only two of the three shelves [which we paid for all three]. They also installed a $400.00 SamSung sound bar, that my wife purchased while they were installing the flat screen TV.

Kelly is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. A lot of attention to detail, so there is no mess to worry about. I love working with him because he is one of those contractors that you do not have to worry about, which is very reassuring.

Amazing job! Kelly and his guys do a fantastic job. We had 4 TV's mounted and one was on a brick fireplace. Kelly also raised all the outlets in order to make sure cables and cords were hidden. Goes the extra mile and makes sure you are completely satisfied before he leaves. Great job!

Moving to Boonies and decided to use Direct TV as satellite provider, but couldn't get anyone at Direct TV to give me the name of someone who did pre-wiring. Our electrician did not provide pre-wiring for Sat, which we discovered ran on different wiring than standard TV. Everyone I spoke to at Dish and Direct TV wanted to sign us up for service before letting us talk to an installer, but our house is in the building process and we didn't need service yet and certainly didn't want to pay for something we weren't using for possibly several months. After many frustrating conversations with people who did not have a complete grasp of the English language I decided to check Angie's List. I found Kelly and even though he is listed under Home Theater (which he does) and it says he doesn't do Sat wiring (he does), I gave him a call based upon a previous review. Turns out Kelly is also a certified Direct TV installer and Excede (Direct TV internet partner) installer too. He fit our small job in to his schedule and got us wired within just a few days. We plan on calling him back directly for the rest of the installation once we have moved in. He was really nice and answered all our questions and explained a lot of things of which I immediately forgot and will never fully understand (which is okay as long as everything works.) We feel very lucky to have found him.

Kelly came by, did the estimate, was timely, professional and competitively priced (I had four other companies come by and two priced themselves so high, it was apparent they simply didn't want the work). I told him exactly what I wanted him to do and that's what he did. He was pleasant, cordial, helpful and fast about his work. Will use him again if I have this type of work and will recommend him to others.
Description of Work: Mounted TV over fireplace, connected AV Receiver/speakers/components, fish-taped cords, speaker wire through walls/attic/chimney chase. Stuff I can do myself if so inclined, I just didn't WANT TO.

Kelly is not about one time service. If something doesn't make sense, you need help, you need to unplug everything to re-do your hardwood floors, you need him to come back and hook it back up. He is on it. He did all that! He did an excellent job that didn't need return service (over two years ago). But when I needed things, as things changed for me, he came back and always got me going again. He is excellent at customer service, trustworthy, friendly and more than worth anything he charges for home stereo (full house audio, Flat screen TV wall mount that makes your flat screen flush with the wall. Top of the line. The original work was done two years ago and still works well. He is really good about giving you options and patient as you learn the new systems.
Description of Work: Over the last two years Kelly has installed a full house audio system--including the deck, hid the many cable in the wall the led up to my flush wall flat screen mount, installed speakers in every room. But what strikes me most is when you need to add on or change something he still treats you well. You don't ever feel your bothering. He is busy because he so good, but he makes time to help.

We were happy with the service and products that Kelly installed.
Description of Work: I contacted Kelly, the owner of Wire Works, on June 17 and he came to our home the next day to give us an idea of how much it would cost to mount 2 new televisions - one in the bedroom - on the wall and the other in our living area - on the wall & to set up a universal remote. My husband and I had many questions that Kelly answered promptly and gave us lots of suggestions & good advice concerning which mounts to purchase and what universal remote to purchase. I purchased all the items and contacted Kelly when they all arrived on June 20. He installed both televisions and tried to set up the universal remote (which was defective). I have returned the defective remote and replaced it with a new one. Kelly was very knowledgeable and professional. My husband and I would be happy to recommend Wire Works to anyone in need of a knowlegeable and professional installer.

The owner, Kelly, was terrific. I spoke with him by phone and he came by that day to inspect our home theater system. As promised, he called me the next day with an estimate, had a solution that saved me potentially hundreds of dollars, and scheduled the service call within just a few days. He arrived on time and repaired the system for less than his estimate, and it is working perfectly. He cleaned his work area, and frankly, it looked better than when he arrived! It was such a pleasure working with Kelly. If I could just clone him as a plumber! THE UGLY STORY THAT LED UP TO KELLY SAVING THE DAY Best Buy originally installed our home theater several years ago. In mid-July I damaged a single connector from our home theater to an outdoor TV, and the picture became distorted (no reds in the color). At the scheduled visit, they agreed that the connector I had damaged needed to be replaced, but instead of replacing that plug, they cut off all of the connectors to install new plugs, and then discovered that they didn't have the correct connectors, nor did they have them in stock. In order to expedite the repair, they asked me to purchase the connectors at a local electronics store, and then call them to reschedule the repair. That weekend I spent $40 on new connectors, and then called to arrange the next service call. The next week they returned to complete the repair (and did not offer to reimburse me for the connectors), but discovered that they needed an additional connector part for each connector. They promised to locate that part, and then call to reschedule a 3rd visit and complete the repair. Over the next several weeks I was travelling and very busy at work, but they never called to reschedule. I finally called the first week of September, and with several calls finally reached a Geek Squad rep through their 800 number. She did some research and told me that one of the technicians was no longer with the company, but that she would track down the other technician. Eventually we scheduled a final repair for September 20 (10 weeks from the initial service call). (Note: When you call Kelly's number, Kelly answers or if you leave a message and he calls right back.) When the technicians arrived, they worked for an hour trying to get the connectors to work. They called a Best Buy specialist/troubleshooter, and were told that the connectors would probably not work correctly because the cable was several years old, had probably shrunk some (dried out) and the plugs would not seat correctly. (This turned out to be false--they were using the wrong connectors. Kelly spotted it immediately and said that only one company made the connector to fit the component cable Best Buy had originally installed). The technicians suggested that a new cable would need to be pulled through the walls and ceiling, but that they would not reimburse me for any damage that might occur if they had to cut into the walls or ceiling. (If they had only worked on the single connector, they "might" have been able to fix the problem. But when they cut all of the connectors, it created a tsunami affect that made it impossible to repair.) Most readers would not have waited as many weeks to get to this point, but I finally decided to call someone else to give me an estimate. I called Bjorn's, spoke with their service department, and they said that normally they did not do repair work for home theater systems unless they had installed the equipment and cabling, but they would check on it and get back to me. They never called back. Next, I called Signal Audio. After a phone call, a prompt visit to inspect the system, a promise of an estimate and return visit to repair the system, and another phone conversation, they never called back. (In defense of Angie's List, this company did not yet have a review.) I went to Angie's List again, found Wire Works (Kelly), and it everything went like clockwork. Not only did Kelly under promise and over deliver, he saved me from having to pay for a very expensive cable pull and potential repair to walls and ceiling. His initial estimate was so reasonable, I asked him to clean up the mass of wires behind our home theater cabinet (it was so bad the component cabinet couldn't be pushed back into place). The original install had stacks of extra cabling. Kelly cleaned out an arm full of wires and the cabinet slipped right into place. I can't say enough good things about Wire Works.
Description of Work: Repair damaged component cable from main home theater center to exterior porch TV; repair connections to outdoor Zone 2 speakers (4 sets); clean up the excess wire behind components. The repair required cables, connectors, and about 3 hours of labor.

I ran CAT5 throughout my house during a rehab and didn't trust the general contractor's electrician to put the terminations on the ends of the wires. Even though it was a small job, Kelly came out and did all the terminations. Job was done quickly with no problems.

Kelly came, gave me an estimate, told me about other options I hadn't thought of. Aesthetics was extremely important to me because of the age of my home (1920s Craftsman). He quickly did the work and explained everything to me, though I didn't need to lift a finger besides telling him my favorite TV channels to program into my specialized remote. The sound is great. Everything looks great. You can't see a cord anywhere! It's all in the wall. I could have never done it and it makes me very happy to have all of this specialized work.
Description of Work: -Installed flat screen TV (Built a box and put a motorized mount so TV adjusts up down to the side, but sits flat to the wall) -Put speaker system throughout house. speakers built in flush to ceiling -Installed two new receivers and programmed a nifty universal remote that runs my Wii, the recievers, my DVD/CD, ipod, AT&T Uverse. -Cleaned up and sealed all holes, etc.
