I don't think the price was their normal price but our septic tank was overfull. I think it is normally $400. We've used them before. They are very prompt. The guys seem to go above and beyond the call. They really helped us because we were going through a rough time. We had a family emergency and also a leak in our ceiling. They really came through. We are going to use them again because we are probably going to have to pump our septic tank every 6 months and we will use them.

Van Delden seemed a good choice to check out a septic problem, given their 'reputation' and the fact that they had designed and constructed the system in 1999, and inspected it just 6 months ago. Their technician assured me all the equipment up to and including the pump was good, and the problem was surely in the drain field. I called them the next morning to discuss next steps, and was promised a priority return call. Chad Van Delden called at 4pm, after I called to remind them. I asked whether he felt any responsibility for a system that failed after 1/3 of its expected life, or after they gave it a clean bill of health. Chad had no empathy, and did nothing but try to deflect any responsibility. I asked about next steps. They offered to come out, dig up my back yard, and spend $400-800 to diagnose the problem, after which they could give me an estimate for repairs. Chad promised to call Monday morning to proceed. He finally called Wednesday; I was clear about my dissatisfaction. His responses demonstrated his total lack of professionalism again. Meanwhile, I found a competitor, gave them the site plan and repair information from VanDelden, and they gave a firm $1800 bid to fix it. I gave them the business. They started working in the drain field and found a couple issues, including pipes under trees that existed when the house was built, and a design that allowed water to reach only the first lateral (anyone with knowledge of gravity would have known better than this sorry design). After inspection of the drain field, and cutting the service pipe, they made the key discovery that Van Delden should have: the pump was stuck. So, Van Delden and a sticky check valve have cost me $2000. The fixes the second company made will probably save me down the road. I will not do business with Van Delden, and would never recommend them. Take a few words of advice, if you have a septic problem, call Central Texas Septic.

They are the best septic tank installation and service company around. Everyone I know in Hollywood Park and Hill County Village uses Van Delden.

This is the company that I use for normal service on the septic tank system at my rental property. They assessed the septic tank for me before I purchased the property. Recently the smaller septic tank filled with water due to the frequent rains we were having, creating a plumbing emergency for one of the tenants. I called one afternoon, they came the next afternoon to take care of the problem and perform the yearly service for the 3 septic tanks on the property. They cleaned the affected septic tank, cleaned another small septic tank, and told me that although it had been a year since the last service that the large septic tank did not need cleaning. I was only charged for the work that was done. I strongly recommend them.
