Not well, he initially came out promptly and did great work, but he wanted to upsell to replace our copper piping in the ceiling. We agreed, and he did not come out when he should have (he told us his family had medical issues twice). After several weeks we told him we no longer wanted to do the replacement, and he should come and close the hole in our ceiling. He did not. We just got the hole repaired today, and he made the hole November 1st.

Customer service is terrible. Punctuality is even worse. Hard to get any response from this company. Doesnt show up when says they will. Doesnt have materials or tools to complete job. Changes prices midway in job. Competency is questionable. BE WARNED STAY AWAY!!!

Our Central Air/Heat Pump unit failed in June, 2010. Since it was covered by a homeowners warranty contract (yet another horrow story) we contcated the warranty company and they sent out one of their affiliated HVAC contractors (Polar Bear Air). Polar Bear Air came out and looked at the unit and informed us that the compressor was bad. They went ahead and collected their $65.00 service fee and the guy said he would be back the next day with a new compressor. About 3 days later they brought out a new compressor and it blew out or locked up while they were trying to install it. Over the period of three weeks they brought out 3 new compressors and blew them all out in the installation process. They claimed all three of them were defective from the factory. On the last one they also burned up the units wiring harness and capacitor and blew fuses in theunit located inside the houset. After three weeks they finally announcd that the unit was beyond repair...parts were scattered all over our back yard and we had been without air so far for 3 weeks during the hottest part of a South Texas summer. We on several occasions called the warranty company and told them how incompetent these people were and requested that they assign a different contractor....but they refused to send a different contractor. After three weeks they had to order a new outside unit and have it shipped from across country (instead of getting one locally from the warehouse. The first one was shipped to an incorrect address and was returned to the supplier. Finally they had another unit shipped and brought it out to the house to install after leaving us in the heat for six weeks. While they were installing it I happened to look down at the unit and noticed that it was not a heat-pum unit like they had taken out but just an A/C unit. When I told the owner of Polar Bear Air that it was the wrong unit he told me "Well we can send this one back and you can wait some longer while they ship us a heat-pump." At this point I informed him that waiting for another unit to be shipped was not an acceptable option and if he didn't find another correct unit locally and get it installed and working properly that day I was going to call the local television news stations and that he and his compnay was going to find themselves on the 10 PM news. He left and returned about 2 hours later with a heat pump and he and one of his so-called technicians worked until 10PM that night finishing up the job. In a nutshell their service is a disgrace, their technicians are not trained or knowledgable, They lie to you, will not return phone calls, their receptionists are rude and unthoughtful and they think nothing at all of leaving senior citizens to cook in a house where the daily inside temperatures were above 100 degrees for six weeks. Six weeks of misery fior a job that should have taken 2 days. max.. My advice is that if anyone ever mentions using Polar Bear Air to you....just run far, far away as fast as your feet can carry you.

We had purchased a older home that had an AC unit that needed replacing. While they were trying to repair the old unit it was suggested we purchase a new unit. We were made many promises that ended up not being met. After agreeing to do business, the unit itself took 2 additional weeks to get installed from the initial time promised. Afterwards we have had several problems with the unit and it was next to impossible to get anyone back out to our home to honor the warranty. While they were installing the unit they sold us a service package on our other units in the home along with our plumbing. None of which is being honored today. I have not been able to get anyone on the phone in months, we still have issues with our unit, and our service package we paid for is worthless. I have filed a complaint with the BBB but they are no longer an accredited business. The owner will not return my emails or phone calls. These people are the absolute worst to deal with. Stay Away!

The company did not perform any services for me. I called 3 times. The receptionist took my name and number and told me that "someone" would be getting in touch with me shortly. That never happened. I understand that my calls were over the 2 week holiday period, But to be told I would receive a phone call shortly and not have it happen is not very professional
