The company was very professional. They provided on site inspection to identify the problems, came up with a plan, wrote a proposal and immediately got on the job and got it done. Very nice people and did a professional job. The fireplaces work now!

Awesome service and was extremely accomodating and quick.

He had replaced the thermocouple before and worked on it. He's a lot cheaper because I don't want to replace the fireplace so I keep using him because he works to find out what the problem is and fix it as cheaply as he can. He has saved me a bunch of money. He came out when he had another job in the area because I did not need the work done immediately. I was very happy with it. He called me when he was on his way. I will use him again in the future.

We recently purchased a home with an outdoor ventless gas logs fireplace. Upon turning on the gas the first time recently, it was apparent that no gas was coming through the lines. Robert, from Hill Country Fireplaces, was able to locate a hidden (unnecessary) gas valve that was closed in behind an exterior wall of our home near the fireplace. Yes, the wall had to be torn out to some degree, and we'll have to hire someone else to do those repairs, but it could not be helped. I will definitely call Hill Country Fireplaces in the future if needed.

Robert make several trips to insure he was producing exactly what we wanted. The install was a build to fit and came out remarkably well. I do not believe anyone else could have done as well. A trully outstanding effort!

Several years ago he came out to make an adjustment and had pleased me with the work so I had no reservation with calling him again. He called in the morning and came out a few hours later. He took his shoes off at the door and was neat and very polite. He fixed both problems and repaired them quickly while explaining to me what the problems were. He did not charge me for the service call and he felt that his services were too minor for a fee. What a good guy. I will always call him to do my repairs.

I hired Hill Country Fireplaces to install a gas fireplace kit with portable propane to an exiting fireplace chimmey (which had never been used prior). I contacted Robert (owner) from Angie's List. After tralking to Robert I realized he owned the family business and he came across as a very friendly and down to earth individual-- something that is rare today. Robert was very knowledgeable of the work product and the services needed for our needs. He came out for an estimate and told us step-by-step what would be needed. He left us with a brochure to review kits and to validate prices online if we elected to do so--we chose to rely on Robert's expertise. Robert was able to get us on his schedule within one week--he was on time and installed a quality unit. Working with he and his wife for the estimate, scheduling, and ordering of the unit went very smooth--they are a great combination with running their business. I would highly recommend Hill Country Fireplaces to perform your work. We are extremely satisfied with their service and final product.

It went extremely well. A real plus about this company is their customer service. Debbie kept me informed throughout the ordering and scheduling process. She emailed me every step of the way to keep me updated, which I really appreciated. Robert arrived on time and completed the installation in about an hour, just as he promised. I would definitely do business with Hill Country Fireplaces again and will recommend them to friends and family.

Robert was excellent in all respects. Called twice prior to coming out, arrived promptly, was very courteous. Obviously very knowledgeable. Said he was one of only 10 or so people in the entire state of Texas who worked on direct vent fireplaces, as it involves someone knowledgeable in both gas line plumbing, electrical repair, and complicated ignition systems. He services these all over Central and South TX, and was in fact heading to Laredo after my appointment. I was very lucky to find him as he has a very unique set of skills to work on these devices. He also replaced a cap to stop gas leaks that had been left off by installer, and also provided lava rocks for bottom of fireplace, also left out by installer.

Robert was recommended by the distributor from whom I bought the fireplace wall unit. He offered to do the repair on the weekend which met my needs very well.
