First of all we hired Guy Condra for a cost plus job of building us a barn. Huge mistake, never go for cost plus. An attorney we later hired said, no reputable builder ever uses cost plus ...always get a hard bid. When he he first started and the framing was all up, a strong wind came along and blew it all down into a pile of rubble. At this point Mr. Condra told us it was just bad luck. However, every other builder we talked to said it was a lack of bracing. We probably would've accepted his answer of just bad luck but after the barn had blown down he not told us it had happened to him a couple other times...information that was conveniently left out of his Interview with us before we contracted with him. We should have fired him then, but we didn't, although we did hire an attorney who specializes in real estate law. It was also at this point in time that we began to get billing errors, such as being billed twice for the same materials. In each case when we questioned him about these discrepancies he would say, don't worry it will all work out in the end...my accountant will take care of everything once the job is done. Interesting note; later we would find there was no accountant just a retired teacher or something with a quickens program. At this junction in our journey to get a barn erected our attorney suggested we hire a forensic accountant. Our newly hired accountants exact words were, "I've never seen such crap and literally had to throw them away." Our roof had to be put on three times as the metal never matched colors from one side to the other and to this day rain finds its way inside. Oh, and before we forget let's take a minute and mention his daughter or as she was presented to us his architect. As he told us she's been to all the schools she just hasn't gotten all the paper credentials as it helps her keep her design costs down. What a load of crap! After the barn blew down the insurance company (thank god there was one) required a framing inspection to be performed on the new structure. The framing inspectors exact words were ,"it's a poor design."

They double billed me or triple billed me and I had to hire an accountant and a lawyer for that. They charged me a ridiculous amount and if I haven’t hired an accountant it could have been more. So I want to let people know that they are not honest and I don’t want people to hire them and go through the same experience that I went through.
Description of Work: We used their services last January 2010 to do a bunch of plush apartment.
