I couldn't start my Echo grass trimmer after replacing some gas lines and a grommet that was leaking. The folks at Ewald Tractor discovered that there was fuel in the air intake and the carburetor was gunked up from ethanol-containing gasoline. They said that if you leave the gasoline in more than two weeks, it will start to form a thick gum which will eventually stop the engine from running. They cleaned out the air intake, cleaned and adjusted the carburetor, and added fresh gasoline. When I got home the trimmer started okay but wouldn't run very fast and died when idling. So I took it back to the shop and they quickly readjusted the carburetor. They explained that there must have been some of the cleaner left in the carburetor when they adjusted it the first time. Now it runs like new.

First of all, Ewald is a Kubota dealer. However, they repair all makes and models of tractors. Replacing the brakes on my John Deere 5205 is a pretty detailed job that is far beyond my mechanical ability. I have had previous experience working with Lawrence at Ewald Tractor in Boerne, Tx, so I gave him a call. As usually, their repair shop was very busy. However, he was able to work my tractor repair into their busy schedule. He kept me up-to-date on their progress throughout the repair process. Since this was a pretty expensive repair, Lawrence gave me a and quot;not to exceedand quot; estimate on the brake replacement/repairs. He was able to keep the cost of the repair under cost of this estimate. To date, the tractor's brakes fuction properly and we have had no other problems with the brake system. Anytime I have a question about the tractor or some of my other equipment, Lawrence is very good about helping me out. As long as Lawrence is there, I would definitely recommend the Ewald tractor service department in Boerne.
