Recently had our entire house floor redone through couture floors and couldn’t be happier with the result. Jed and his team are professional, prompt and so easy to work with. Super impressed by Paul and his ability to move things around in our house so that during the process, we always had a place to relax and not feel restricted. It went okay. They delivered the wrong flooring. I went ahead and accepted it, because the rooms were all set and I did not want to wait two more weeks to get the correct one.

On cost, it was a lot. I can't really tell you how much.

Staff was friendly, competent, and professional. The sales representatives helped me review several options that would fit with my life style and provide me with a beautiful floor at a reasonable cost. We had good communication with Dan during the estimating process. The crew that did our hardwood worked through a weekend to meet our schedule. Both crews seemed to take pride in their work and tried to get everything right. Overall, we felt it was a good value and a good experience. Our floors are much better and have improved the whole look of our house.

Three workers came to do the job. It all went well and they made it convenient for me to live in my house while they were working.

It all went very smooth. I have never had a group of workers who were as professional as they were. They were courteous, clean, very respectful and most important did a great job on laying the flooring! Jed was my contact who came out to measure and give me a bid. He showed up 10 mins early, which is great. They called me on Sat to tell me what time to expect them and Justin and a crew of 3 showed up Mon morning right on time! It was a pleasure to have them in my house. Usually the hardest part of having workers in your house or on your property is the uncomfortable feeling of not knowing how its going to go and how long will the work drag out... but I knew instantly that these guys were just here to get the job done and move on to the next! I can't say enough about their professional manners. I feel like the price was a little higher but with the time frame to have it installed ( the other company in Boerne said they were booking into January!) I'm happy with my decision.

We came in two weeks before we wanted it done during my husband's vacation week. They were able to fit us in. They gave us five options that matched our existing wood floors in the dining room and office. They came on time the first day and found they needed to level the foundation. The next day they put in the floors and it needed to sit overnight for the glue. They came back the third day and told my husband how to care for them and looked over the job with him. They left a cleaning kit with us as well. They might be more expensive than big box stores but you cannot beat their service. Their contractor teams have been with them for years which is what we wanted. Awesome job!!

Their representative came to our home, listened to our expectations, and asked appropriate questions that demonstrated an understanding of the goal and intent of our project. We had been plagued with a slate floor in our atrium that allowed water to seep into the adjacent walls when it rained. Working with Couture Floors we were able to come up with a slate colored tile floor with waterproofing around the perimeter and a tile splash border that will prevent future seepage problems. The end result is even more beautiful than the original floor and much more functional! The job was completed in less than a week and their workers were meticulous in laying and grouting the tile. The Couture floors representative visited the job during each phase of the process and conducted a final inspection to confirm our satisfaction. I would not hesitate to choose Couture floors for any future flooring work.

We were ready to purchase laminate flooring (to replace carpeting in our bedroom and hallway) from a flooring company associated with Costco. However, the process of getting an estimate was taking longer than expected, so we decided to get a bid from Couture Flooring, which was very close to our residence. Dan Majetich came out at 9am, took measurements, and emailed 3 quotes for us by 11am the same day. In fact, he made a second trip the same afternoon to measure our kitchen after I mentioned that we would consider new flooring there as well. We gave the first flooring company a week to give us an estimate. I actually had to call them to ask when I could expect some figures. I finally got an estimate that was slightly less than what Dan had provided a week earlier. Because of the speedy quotes that Dan provided, we decided to go with Couture to do the flooring. We are very happy with our decision! The crew was efficient, courteous, friendly and professional. They were dealing with a subfloor that was uneven, wavy concrete. They tore out the old carpet and leveled the floor the first day. The second day they installed the new flooring, and finished with the trim work the morning of the third day. Our new floors look great! Couture Flooring is a very well-run company and they have outstanding employees!! Oh, and that first flooring company never called me back - I guess they didn't need our business.

They arrived on time to give the estimate and to perform the work. The installation was finished ahead of schedule. The crew cleaned up daily. Most importantly, they returned to perform minor touch up work. Would definitely use Couture again.

Estimate of $3715.60 breaks down as follows: 433 sq feet of tile (priced at $2.50/sq. ft) $1085 Versabond mortar included Emser grout included 140 linear feet of primed shoe mold $40.60 installation of up to 20"x20" sized tile $1500 Demolition/removal of old tile $700 Appliance removal/reinstall $120 Toilet removal reset $60 Install new shoe mold $210 Couture Floors was professional and responsive. They have a nice selection of tile at reasonable prices. Based on what I told the estimator, my bid was based on a tile price of $2.50 per square foot. I was pleasantly surprised at how many different nice tiles were available at or near that price. Their installation price was on par with other estimates I got (I got a lot of estimates). Overall, I was happy with Couture, but I ultimately decided to use an installer that did not also sell flooring. I also had some complicated things going on with my floor, which is why I was having to replace tile, so I wanted someone who really specialized in tile. Couture may have a lot of expertise in large format tile (I was going with 12 x 24 tiles) and in dealing with potentially challenging subfloor situations, but I wasn't too sure, so that factored into my decision, too. Overall, they seem like a reliable place and they were very easy to work with.

Dan was very helpful explaining which tiles were suitable for our outdoor application and allowing us to take samples away to see what they looked like on the patio. He came round, measured up and sent a quotation within a couple of days. We delayed the installation while we had some other work performed and when we told Dan we were ready to start he set a date and started and finished on time. The patio looks lovely and we were especially impressed that they had taken the time to cut the tiles to the shape of the stone instead of just filling in the gap with grout - it makes it look really well finished.

Not only did Dan at Couture floors work with us on finding just the right tile and wood combination, but his estimate for work came in well under the competition. However, that did not come with any sacrifice to quality, courtesy, or workmanship. His crews were professional, attentive, and extremely responsive. My wife and I left for 4 days and by the time we got home, we were stunned to find the work completed and perfect. Dan's crews even worked through July 4th weekend to make sure that we were not inconvenienced. I could not believe they were able to do the entire job in that time period. I can't say enough about Couture. Needless to say, we will definitely be having them back when we get our second story floors redone. They even gave a great recommendation for some bathroom tiling that we will be performing to make up for some poor looking baseboards covering concrete. If you're shopping around, do yourself a favor and contact Dan. You will not be disappointed.

Being new to the area I did not know where to go, Angie's List helped with that problem. Couture Floors is an amazingly patient and extremely professional business. The woman in the show room (sorry I forgot her name) was a big help and asked all the right questions to help me decide on a product to meet both my wants and my budget. The showroom has an excellent array of choices for hardwoods (and carpet, tile, laminate, etc.) and there is no pressure to hurry up and make a choice, I returned to the showroom four times before making the final decision which I have not regretted for one moment. I cannot say enough about the actual process. The installation took less than two days and everything was moved out and then back in. I was amazing and quite delighted at the care and follow through I experienced with Dan and his crew. It seemed like I turned around and the floor was installed magically, no muss no fuss, not a hair out of place when complete. Dan followed up with me via phone to make sure that I was satisfied with the results. I am planning an outside kitchen/enclosed deck project in which I will use Dan and his team for suggestions and installation of my flooring. If you want a professional, timely and caring company for your flooring, look no further, Couture Floors should be your choice.

We have used Couture three times to replace carpeting in our home with hardwood floors and are very satisfied. We went to their showroom on IH 10 to view samples of flooring. It's a really nice showroom that has extensive displays of carpeting, tile, and flooring. They allow you to take samples home to see how they look in your home. An employee comes to your home to accurately measure the areas to be covered (Jeb did this in our case). He's fast and efficient. The first time we used Couture, we were replacing a large carpeted area with hardwood. We got estimates from three different flooring companies. The difference in price between them was less than $100. We selected Couture based on the longevity of their flooring crews. When your wood is received at the company they will bring it to your home a day or two before installation so have a place inside your home ready for storing several boxes of wood. This area should have the same temperature and moisture level as the area to be covered. Couture uses two or three different subcontractor teams to install the floors. This is not always a good thing, but Couture has used the same teams for several years so there is consistency. Ask for David and his crew to install your floor, if possible. He is a real artist. He and his crew of cousins and brothers worked while growing up with their dads who own flooring businesses. They grew up learning the business. Installation time depends on the square area of the floor, but even large areas (in our case the living, dining and entry) can be completed in one day. Occasionally, some surface leveling may be required so that material has to dry before application of the glue so installation can take a couple of days. After installation is complete, the crew cleans everything up, helped you move the furniture in place, and hauls away the old carpet and pad. Whomever you get to do your floors, make certain they check for and re-level the surface, if necessary. Couture will be our first stop in the future for any flooring needs.

After writing my review, I was contacted by Couture Flooring. It appeared that my e-mail that I sent requesting ideas on fixing the carpet that was laid went to the same place missing socks go from the dryer. They never received my request. They arranged to have a installer redo the tile/carpet joint (which was just finished) and it looks great.

We where extremely please with Couture Floors! Dan one of the owners came out to give me an estimate and he was extremely professional. They started the work right on time and ended when they said they would. Dan was very prompt in returning my phone calls and their customer service was outstanding! We will definitely be using them in the furture to replace some hardwood floors. I would highly recommend this company!

They were on time every day. Kept a clean worksite and minimize disruptions to our lives while they did the work. The installers and refinishers are really great people who we truly enjoyed working with. I think we got exceptional value for a great price. We will certainly use them again.

We moved to San Antonio a few years ago and have relied on Angie?s list to assist us in selecting service providers. When we decided to make the significant investment of having hardwood floors installed in a large part of our home, we chose three companies with high ratings on Angie?s list to provide us with estimates. While the other companies had competitive pricing, from the first time I spoke with Jed Mazour co-owner of Couture Floors I knew there was no reason to look any further! Within 24 hours of sending an email request to Couture, I got a phone call from Jed. I expected to be passed on to another staff member but was pleasantly surprised when Jed offered to come to my home for a consultation. When Jed arrived, he asked questions to determine my preferences, listened carefully to my comments and completed measurements. The very next day he followed-up with bids on several different tile, carpet and hardwood combinations. Needless to say, I was very impressed with his customer service! That same commitment to superior service was displayed by each and every employee I had the pleasure of working with at Couture Floors. In my original email request to Couture, I let them know I needed to work with someone that had patience. I sure put Jed to the test in the patience department but he never failed to respond to my indecision on flooring selection with anything other than kindness. He brought many wood samples to my house, helped me look through numerous samples on their extensive showroom floor and never once tried to push me into making a quick decision. He wanted both my husband and I to love our new hardwood floors, tile and carpet and we do! We ended up selecting a variable width (4", 6", 8") Southern Traditions Amalfi Coast walnut engineered hardwood floor. This hardwood includes boards up to seven feet long and has a beautiful dual hand-stained finish. Couture?s pricing was very competitive and the walnut floor is absolutely stunning! In addition to Jed, we worked with co-owner Dan Majetich and design consultant Denean. Dan had very helpful suggestions on hardwood floor selection and Denean worked diligently to help us find the perfect tile to complement the hardwood. The hardwood floors we selected should last us a lifetime, so the most important factor in our choice of flooring companies for this project was the skill of the hardwood installation crew. Jed assured me that the individuals who install hardwood for Couture had been working with each other for many years and that they were not just installers but craftsmen. Once the job was finished I knew that every word of that statement was absolutely true! The hardwood floors were installed by David and Miguel with assistance from Ricky and I can?t say enough about these three men and the pride they take in their work. The flooring flows seamlessly from one room to the next and the layout of the variable width boards is amazing. David did excellent work on the tile fireplace surrounds and he used wood to "picture frame" a row of tile on the floor which resulted in a special custom look. The Couture installation crew was not satisfied until we were completely satisfied. There were a few boards that had no flaws but we just didn?t like the grain and finish. Miguel painstakingly removed the boards and replaced them at no additional charge. We elected to remove the old baseboards and replace them with new 5 ¼ inch baseboards. There were some tight corners to maneuver around in our house, but every single cut Miguel made was perfect and the new baseboard looks wonderful against the wood. The finished floor had a few hazy spots that I couldn?t remove with a standard cleaner. The crew came over on a Sunday afternoon and a fourth worker, Hector, got down on his hands and knees and worked on removing the spots from individual boards. To top it off, Miguel brought a small buffer over the next day and he buffed the whole floor. We felt like our entire job was completed not by hired workers but by trusted friends! I also need to mention the work of the carpet installers...they did an incredible job. They were quick, I can't detect a single carpet seam, and the carpet looks perfect. You may be able to find a flooring company that can match Couture?s pricing, but I don't belive there is any company out there that can match Couture?s amazing dedication to customer service. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs flooring replaced. You won?t be disappointed!

Couture Floors did an excellent job in the installation. They were careful in removing the old linoleum and the quarter-molding (although they replaced the white quarter-molding, they reused the wood-finish molding under and along the cabinet sides). The job was finished over a period of four days -- not unexpected, since we requested that one bathroom be left functional so we could remain in the house and we couldn't use rooms while the mastic adhesive dried. Basically they started late one day by removing the quarter-molding and linoleum, cut and laid most of the tile on a full second day, finished laying. grouted and reinstalled the quarter-molding a full third day, and, on the last day, stretched the carpet at the doors to the bedrooms and did a final clean-up. We had exceptional service by the highly-skilled workers - Dave, Ricky and Miguel. They were careful, cleaned up as they worked (both inside and out), and were patient with us as we observed and asked questions. Clint, the Couture Floors rep, came out after all work was done to inspect and make sure we were satisfied before we paid a dime. I really recommend them highly for their customer-service focus and their emphasis on satisfied clients.

The flooring crew encountered the same difficulties with the floor preparation in the kitchen as they found previously in the dining room. The tile had been installed on a thick layer of mud that pitted badly when the tile was removed. However, they were able to get the floor flat, level, and smooth by using a lot of mud and leveling compound. Now there are no transitions from the dining room to the kitchen and between the great room and the foyer; the hardwood floor flows uninterrupted. It's all beautiful! After the wood-floor installation crew was finished with their work, the carpet guys came and did their work. They removed the old c carpet and pad and installed new pad and carpet in less than three hours. As before, the workers were professional, expert, and courteous. They did a good job of dust containment and of cleaning up after themselves. It was abundantly evident that their goal was to delight their customers, and they indeed accomplished it.

Because we were living overseas, we conducted the entire competitive bidding process by email and telephone. In order to reduce the potential for misunderstandings and to alleviate concerns about change requests (which can be expensive and frustrating both for customer and service-provider), we prepared very detailed specifications for our job. We solicited proposals from five companies we had read about on Angie?s List. We almost didn?t ask Couture for a proposal because there were no reviews of their hardwood flooring work, but our daughter talked us into it because she had been wowed by their work in a friend?s home. Initially, Couture?s Dan Majetich was a little slow to respond to our email, but when he found our message in his junk mailbox, he contacted us promptly and within 24 hours had completed measurements at our home and submitted a proposal. That kind of responsiveness really got our attention. Although Couture had no coupon on Angie?s List, their pricing was very competitive with the other two proposals that we received. Because we had very little furniture in the house, we asked that the charge for furniture movement be deleted and took care of that chore ourselves. That deduction, plus a manufacturer?s discount that Couture passed on to us, made theirs the lowest-priced proposal. The low bid, along with Mr. Majetich?s strong customer focus and subject-matter knowledge, led to our decision to award the contract to Couture. For the finish, we selected Southern Traditions Amalfi Coast Deruta Hickory. We like the color (warm and rich but not too dark or uniform) and the random effect that the hand-scraping gives, and we especially like the fact that it comes in three widths: 4?, 6?, and 8?. These features combine to give an overall appearance that is classy without being too formal. Because we needed the installation to be completed while we were in the U.S. for a visit, Couture had only a narrow window within which to accomplish it. The crew arrived on time and in force, ready to begin removal of the carpet and ceramic tile. During the demolition work, the crew did a good job of draping and taping plastic sheeting to contain the dust, and used exhaust fans to move it outside. As a result, there was not much dust to clean up when removal of the ceramic tiles was completed. The crew got an unhappy surprise when they removed the floor tile in the dining room. It seems that, when the house was built, the slab in the dining room was poured at a lower level than the great room slab. In order to avoid a step-down from the great room to the dining room, the tile installers built up the dining room floor with a dry concrete mix before installing the tile. The tile substrate, therefore, was quite rough and porous. Couture?s crew used a lot of leveling compound, but ultimately achieved a smooth surface. The wood flooring flows continuously from the great room into the dining room with no evidence of the challenge that it presented to the installers. One thing that we had not addressed in our specification was how to join the floor to the base of the two fireplaces. They are made of Hill Country limestone, which is irregular in shape. Couture proposed and implemented an elegant solution, which was to undercut the fireplace stone so that the flooring could be installed under the edge of it. The result is impressive; it looks like the fireplace was built on top of the hardwood floor. The flooring in the great room was installed perpendicular to that in the bedroom hallway. The crew cleverly placed the joint so that the door covers it when it is closed. This joint also looks very good. Couture?s capable crew completed the work by the promised deadline, except for installation of the three door thresholds. The foreman was not happy with the color match on the thresholds that came with the materials order and asked to come back in a few days to install new ones that they would have to order. This was completed as promised and with no inconvenience to us. The thresholds were installed in two door openings to the foyer and another to the kitchen where the floor transitions from the new hardwood to the existing ceramic tile. Because the hardwood is actually thicker than the tile, the thresholds stand a little prouder than I would like. However, we now are thinking that we eventually will upgrade the tile in the foyer and kitchen to hardwood, so the threshold issue will go away when we do so. Throughout the entire process?from responding to the request for proposal to applying the finishing touches to the installation?every Couture employee was courteous and respectful. Their strong customer focus was evident in the fact that they kept with them a copy of the original specification and made frequent reference to it to ensure that their work met our satisfaction. Our great satisfaction is exactly what they achieved.

I shopped 2 flooring stores and 1 big box store to get an idea of flooring price per sq. foot, installation price, and total cost for what we liked. After visiting the big box store vs. a flooring store the BIG differences were: 1. The flooring stores had higher quality wood floors and WAY more to choose from. 2. The flooring stores come out to measure and order, so any laborer issues or incorrect measurements are on them NOT you. We felt much more comfortable with that. The BIG differences between Couture Floors vs. competitor flooring store: 1. Couture Floors gave price per sq. ft. that included everything...carpet removal, floor prep, wood glue, tax, ect...the works vs. the competitor that priced out everything individually which was confusing to anyone who isn't a floor installer! 2. Couture Floors DOESN'T use ugly transition pieces vs. competitor flooring store...look at their showroom floors. They use a piece of wood laid horizontally to act as a transition piece, which looks MUCH nicer and more expensive! The two flooring stores carried the same brands and the ladies at both sores were nice enough when helping me select a hardwood floor. The reason and deciding factor we went Couture Floors was Jed. I had two ladies during the week help me decide on a hardwood. They were nice enough, kept my selection and information, and didn't overwhelm me with choices. They showed me what was the best for my budget and it was perfect! Jed sealed the deal when I took my husband (who isn't into details) over the weekend. We didn't realize they close at 4pm on Saturdays. Since we called on the way, he was gracious enough to stay open for us (and also some other customers who called later). He was very welcoming (had my paperwork and greeted me by name) and is a no-nonsense good ol' boy...a straight shooter as my grandfather would say. We went with a Mohawk floor they had on special, which was price per sq. ft. installed with tax and everything included!!! Moving furniture, removing/deposal of carpet, wood glue...the works! Jed came out to measure personally that Monday and installed the following week. Answered all my questions, made good suggestions, and gave an honest opinion. I was impressed and so was my husband! VERY quick. VERY responsive. VERY professional. Would go with again and again!
