Great. The whole crew was polite, timely and thorough. Everyone of them obviously liked what they were doingand their personal contribution to the project was commendable. When I was uncertain about colors and asked their opinions they were honest and helpful. They were tidy, and when we did the walk around, eager to get it right. The one glitch was remedied as soon as I found it...and I didn't discover it until they had been finished and on to another job.

At first Mike came to give me an estimate and were to email it . But some how he just for got it. He call and apologize over and over again. So we started over again and he said, he would have every thing done in a week. Because I were celebrating my 41st wedding anniversary . And behold, it were done on time. And the following week Mike send one of the worker to do a final inspection to see if they miss anything. And John was very caring, and said we just don't leave you when we finish if things go wrong they would be there.
Description of Work: They repaired all rotten wood around the entire house and did electric wiring on the patio and put a fluorescent light and replace security lamp.Painted entire house, two color and with the best paint, no cheat paint . Not some left over pain. And did some roofing repaired. My house is forty two year old and, now it look a brand new house.

Things went great. The crew arrived on time and completed the job I hired them to do in the time frame they quoted me. The crew supervisor inspected the stairwell walls and directed the crew to put a second coat on which I was glad for because I noticed some white spots showing through after the first coat. The patch job and refinishing job were well done. I was disappointed that the crew did not remove light fixtures and vent covers but instead painted around them. I also noticed over time missed areas on the ceiling, not blaring, but noticable if you're looking.
Description of Work: I hired John and his team to paint my ceilings upstairs and down and to paint the stairwell walls. They also painted the spindle s along the staircase. They patched and painted a section of drywall above one of my dining room windows and refinished my front door.

Wow, I guess when the ball rolls down hill it just does not stop. I have been remodeling my home and the covered patio was going to be the finishing touch for the outside, then I would finish the interior of my home. From beginning to end the entire process was a complete disaster. It took close to the end of September to get an estimated 4 day job completed that began in July. I asked to have a wooden covered patio built, sealed and painted. I used my neighbors unfinished patio as a guide of what I did not want, and I was very clear on the details. I was informed that pine would be the best product to use and I was very impressed with the interview and plans. I was first told the job was completed on day 3, but when I arrived home I had a broken concrete slab where the post was installed and a completely unfinished product. The interior roof had hundreds of nails sticking out about one inch each. I was told that you usually do not see the nails when a roof is installed on a home. Well, I was having a covered patio installed, so I guess I missed the point. I pointed out that my newly remodeled home had the storm guard ripped off from the house causing gapping holes. I also commented on the wood, which had cracks, huge spiraling knots and holes, but I was told this would be corrected when the painters finished out the product. They must have gotten me the bottom of the barrel on the wood selection. I was called at work two days later and informed that the job was finished. I come home to find a horrible paint job with none of the holes and knots filled on the interior wood (it made the white paint look black) and the damage to my house lightly covered with a thin coat of paint. I also found my back fence, grill, smoker, chairs and other items had been spray painted white. All of these items, which were in the back of the yard away from the work area, had been spray painted white and turned around. I guess they thought I would not notice. I also found that the new roof for the patio had been spray painted white. OK, I am boiling mad at this point. I keep getting apology after apology, but all I wanted was the job completed. I was told that the patio would be completely sealed, that the broken concrete slab would be fixed, that the damage to the house and storm guard for the roof would be replaced. The workers repainted my grill and smoker and tried to touch up the new roof, but that was all. I was told that I would have a gutter system installed around the patio to stop any water damage, but that never happened. There was some type of installation lightly glued to the interior of the patio roof and painted, but they fell off. Oh, and I forgot to mention the patio roof was leaking. When the workers came out to fix the leaks, they left my small garden house on. I came home to find the hose had burst and the entire unsealed patio had been sprayed with water all day. When I arrived home from work, it looked like it was raining under my patio. Again, apology after apology, but no results. By this time I have sent about 10 emails to the company and copied the owner on every one. I was asked to let the patio settle before any more work was done and I agreed to wait one month. I called at the end of August and got an email the 1st week of September stating they would be out that week. I emailed the company that due to all of the damage, time and comedy of errors that had taken place, I would not allow any worker on the property with out the owner being present. I received an email stating that this would take place. About 2.5 weeks later I get a call that the workers would be on site on Saturday and that my request would be honored. I put my car in the garage and waited to see who showed up. Guess what, only the workers and the quality control person, who had been present during every mishap, were on site. I finally walked outside about two hours later to let them know I was going to the store and I was meet with surprised faces. I was told that the company would be doing a much better job when they finished remodeling the interior of my house. When I informed the quality control person that they would not be coming back, I was meet with dirty looks and attitude. They quickly left. I sent more emails to the owner, this time asking for a refund due to what had happened and what was not done. I got no response. I will be uploading pictures and video shortly. There is nothing this company can say to redeem themselves in this situation. At least the patio finally got completed, but what about the rest of the damage. I will have to have the roofing company come back out and redo the storm guard around the house to keep the wood from rotting. You can already see the damage. I was hoping that the company would do the right thing, which is why I waited to post this review, but they never did. I am glad I they were not available for the outside remodel of my house. I had originally contacted them for painting and remodeling, but they were booked. Never, Never, Never again........

John came over and gave me a verbal estimate and told me he would email me the estimate so that we could get the project going and nothing! I called him a couple of times, and he said he would email me the estimate when he got home and nothing. I have tried to contact John and left him messages and he has not returned any of my calls, It's a shame because I was prepared to give him the job and now I'm glad I didn't !!!!!!

This company did an excellent job and one that exceeded my expectations. The personnel were responsive and offered suggestions on how to improve the existing home. In addition they were very accommodating regarding issues that we hadn't agreed to or even discussed during the initial discussions. The initial cost that we agreed to was the final cost and they didn't try and nickel and dime you to death with things that were not part of the original deal. They were prompt and professional and above all friendly. I will use them in the future for other projects. Very fair on pricing. Thanks sincerely for a job well done. Dave

We were happy with them. We felt the price was very reasonable for the amount of work they did but certainly not low. The men who came were very friendly. One of the things I liked about them being in my house was the fact that they talked to each other. Sometimes when I have strangers in the house and they don't say anything it makes me a little leery. We were very relaxed because they talked to each other, but that doesn't mean they weren't working. They were working and it was just that there was camaraderie within the team of workers that they had, which put me an ease. They were very professional and they did very good work. We were very happy with everything. They didn't keep us waiting for anything. The only thing we had to wait on was the french door and that was something we decided kind of mid way. We weren't going to do it first and then we decided to go ahead and do it so we had to wait for ordering and that took a week and a half or two weeks. Other than that it wasn't even a week after they finished the rest of the work that they put the door in.
Description of Work: We used Boerne Painting & Remodeling to tear down paneling and put up dry wall. They put in a new french door and also put in a couple of interior doors as well. They then textured and painted everything.

Thank You for your review of my company. It is strange to me that, your wife and I schedualed an appoiontment for a free estimate on 6-11-13 at 8;30-9;00am.I drove to your town (Comfort TX) to do this estimate, I was there but you nor your wife in fact was NOT. I provide estimates on the spot in most cases. Unfortunately your house was built at a time when LEAD based paint was commonly used, and as such ANYONE working on your house HAS to be LEAD certified. Meaning space suits, and accumilating EVERY paint flake. Your house is peeling in sheets so Im sure it will be quiet expensive, but as I stated to you VIA EMAIL I cannot work on your house...by law. Good luck Sir

Boerne Painting & Remodeling was on time as promised, very professional, the work done was outstanding. They walked with me around the house after it was done to make sure I was satisfied. I only spotted couple little spots that need to be touched up. I was very pleased with with the job. I will be calling them back to paint the inside of my house.

John (owner) provided written estimate quickly and added us to their work schedule. We were contacted when they were available to begin. We clarified the scope of work, verified the quality of paint, chose our colors and emailed them to John. No money was required up front. John arrived to deliver a small trailer containing all of their supplies. The paint crew arrived promptly on schedule accompanied by a supervisor who also contributed to doing the work. The total work crew was five men. They were busy the entire time with time off only for a lunch break. No loitering, downtime on the job, etc. These men worked! They were polite and courteous. Any questions were quickly answered by Joe (the supervisor). We even added a few extra painting requests... lintels, exterior doors... which were painted at no additional charge. We came and went while the work was being done with no question that our home was in good hands. John (owner) visited several times to check on progress. Estimate was for the work to take 3-4 days and was completed in 3 1/2 days. Immediately upon completion the owner (John) accompanied us on a walk through of the exterior. A couple of small details were completed on the spot. John collected the payment due following our satisfaction of the walk through. We can highly recommend Boerne Painting & Remodeling for any painting needs. We were so pleased with their work ethic that we have asked for an estimate for them to do some home remodeling for us.

After a positive experience having our house painted by John's team, we had them paint our rental property. John was able to get the job done quickly, which was important since we wanted the work done before our tenants moved in. John's team also did some pressure washing and other minor repairs. We were particularly pleased that one of his staff was able to diagnose and repair a leaky roof vent that the original builder and roofer had been unable fix despite numerous attempts. This was our second positive experience with Boerne Painting and Remodeling and we would highly recommend them.

I called this company to provide a quote on some interior painting and some additional exterior foundation painting as they had re-painted our exterior of our home and did an exceptional job. Owner, John came out on time and reviewed what we needed. He was to have called me back or e-mailed with with a quote. Never heard another word from him even after repeated contact attempts. If he didn't want to do the job or had too much work already, he could have called me and said so versus leaving me hanging. I never quibbled on the price on the exterior painting from the first job he did for us, so he knew we were not nickle/dimers trying to get the lowest price. A very disappointing experience. I am still trying to find a quality painting willing to come to southwest Kerrville.

Went very well. Had said would be 2-3 days. The first workmen were here at 11:30 on Monday, and everything was completed by noon on Wednesday. There were a couple things that someone came back to correct, but that only took 15-30 minutes and they were very accommodating to my schedule. Each day there were 2-10 workers, all of whom were very personable and professional. They made sure the main living areas were livable each evening before they left. I had been dreading having it done, and therefore had procrastinated getting it completed for years, but the experience was so positive, would not hesitate to call them again in the future. Am working with their lighting person to get new under counter lights in the kitchen and a new light fixture in the master bath. I am very glad I picked them from the 5 quotes I got before contracting with John to do the work. I also liked that they took down and rehung all the paintings on the walls, moved the furniture out and then back to original position when completed. Really great job and have already been singing their praises to anyone who is interested---like the neighbors who saw all trucks and cars while they were working.

John (the painting side of the business) did a great job, and I would recommend him to all. Mark (the remodeling side of the business) is a nice guy, and I think he's an honest guy, and his work was good, but it was the usual story of delays, bad excuses, and missed dates, requiring (polite) ultimatums. Obviously, he got too busy and neglected our work for bigger jobs, but when you accept a job, large or small, you should meet your commitments and handle the work in a timely manner. When a contractor bites of more work than he can chew, disappointment and annoyance ensue.

John from Boerne Painting was professional and prompt. He came and gave us a complete, broken-down estimate that was competitive and comprehensive. We called to schedule the work to be done, he put us on the schedule for 2 weeks out and called us back the next day to tell us that he could do the job the following day! To ask to be put on the schedule to the job being complete in 48 hours was a great treat. I know this is atypical but how many contractors call you to tell you they can do the work tomorrow?! His crew was professional and courteous. They were considerate and polite and their attention to detail was great. They covered up before the work and cleaned up after. They didn't leave until the work was done and done to our liking. I would definitely recommend John and Boerne Painting to friends, family and neighbors. My only regret is that I should have called him sooner. Thanks, Boerne Painting!

The overall experience was exceptionally good and stress free.
Description of Work: The customer service for the estimate was exceptional. Fair and professional is how I describe them throughout the whole process. The tile installer was very professional and a true craftsman. We would definitely hire this company again.

John Caudill gave me the initial appraisal and was extremely knowledgeable about quality paint products, correct application processes and the best elastomeric paint on the market. Based on that, I went with his bid even though it was higher than the others. With the exception of weather impact, it went exactly as he described and as I wished. The crew was on time, quick, efficient and cleaned up any mess. Their attention to detail included correction of some shoddy builder's work: uneven wood trim, a bad stucco repair job, a messy paint job on the outer window frames and 2 corbels out front that were painted but should have been stained to match the cedar house beams. I waited for warmer weather to insure the elastomeric paint was thick enough on west-facing surfaces. When a few cracks showed up on 3 small portions of the house, John had the guys return to put another coat in those areas. We couldn't be happier with the work; our house looks great. I can honestly recommend John and his crew. I'll have them back when I'm ready to paint the interior.
Description of Work: Power washed the house exterior (stucco), facia, gutters, downspouts, soffits and exterior painted doors. Repaired tiny cracks in stucco and sealed top of stone sections. Painted all of the above, 2 colors, top quality paint of my choosing.
