They planted things too deep and the trees died. The edging came apart. They were not accomodating about fixing it.

Johnny and Alisa are great. They are very professional and provide wonderful customer service. The team that Johnny brought out was professional and respectful. We got all of the flower beds from around our house cleared out and filled with grass. We also got a gravel walkway cleared out and covered with grass. They saved us money by using excess dirt from the flower beds to level out other areas, such as where the gravel was removed. They also trimmed 2 trees along the street. They cleared all the debris from their work, plus hauled away some other stuff we were trying to get rid of. We were going to move 2 rose bushes, but Johnny advised leaving them put until warmer weather to ensure they survive the transition. I highly recommend this company. Remember to verify what is in the estimate compared to what you want done. I will definitely contact them in the future for any landscaping needs.

The installation was seamless. They came and installed it in one day before either my wife and I got home from work. It looks great! We are probably going to add more lighting in the near future.

They were great to speak with, they were prompt. We just changed our minds and decided to do the work ourselves.

We are VERY PLEASED!! The owner arrived a few days after I called to look at the work. Later that day he emailed the estimate including the scope of work. After we accepted the estimate, the owner scheduled the work for the following week. On the scheduled day and time, the owner arrived with his two workers. The owner stayed until the work was under way. After the project was completed, I was asked to inspect their work. Not only had they fixed the problem and improved the creek, they had weeded around the perimeter. This was a very pleasant experience.

Provided great suggestions on placement of lights. Work was done timely and with good quality.

This is the second time we've used Blades of Glory.? We bought a coupon for 15 man hours of labor.? Johnny Garcia came over and we discussed what we had in mind for an area at the side of the driveway that gets little shade.? We got estimates for a couple of projects we discussed and decided to go with crushed granite with flagstone pathway.? Ray came over on January 7th and 8th to?do the job, which consisted of taking out existing sod and removing four stones; weed eat old herbaceous materials, cap 5 sprinklers, install crushed granite, 15 Oklahoma flagstones, 50 feet of stone edging and 4 pieces of metal edging on the driveway side.? Since it didn't take all 15 hours, Ray and Johnny did some trimming of bushes for us.? Everything looks great and it is a real pleasure to work with Johnny and Ray.? We will definitely use Blades of Glory in the future.

I called them to get the work started and I haven't heard from them since. This was about nine months ago. I just know they were not responsive. They were a little overpriced for what I was asking.

It took the company a couple of months to do the work due to increased demand from its promotion as well weather issues. However, the owner and his workers were professional and courteous, and they all did a good job with the design as well as its implementation. Ultimately, it was a good experience, and I would recommend the company.

All went well. I met with the owner a week or so before the work was scheduled. We agreed om a date of December 4 to complete the 15 hours of labor that I purchased through an Angie's List coupon. I thought the work done was very good and the cleanup also was very good. I had a lot of shrubs and landscape areas that just needed a good cleaning up.and trimming. I have already talked to the owner about getting a bid to do some additional work in the Spring. I would highly recommend this provider.

Wonderful! I have had them before and they did such a wonderful job. They are very thorough. They pull out all the weeds. The do a good job of cleaning up and hauling. You pay extra but it is worthy it. I was pleased for a long time because their work remains looking good for a long time.

I saw the Angie's List special deal for 15 hours of landscaping labor for $599. The plants, edging and extra soil and mulch came to $932. I called Blades of Glory because they are a Christian company and I knew they could help me with my special request. I found my son who had died by suicide in my back yard out under my pecan tree five weeks ago, and I could not stand to go out there anymore. This was a problem because I love working in my yard and selling my home or moving was out of the question. I wanted to make a large oval flowerbed out underneath the tree where he was lying so that I could see some new beauty in God's creations of plants and flowers rather than how I remembered seeing my son lying out there. Johnny was out within a week to help me decide what plants to plant and which edging to use and he was very understanding and professional about my situation. This meant a lot to me. His assistant in the office is equally nice and professional. Within the next week he had a design worked up and by computer integrated it into a picture he had taken of my backyard so I could see exactly how everything would look when it was completed. This was sent to me by email. About three weeks later, I was enjoying "Nathan's Memorial Flowerbed" which family and friends are adding small items to remember him by. It is a beautiful living memorial filled with God's creations and beauty. I am so relieved now when I open up my blinds and look outside. The workers were professional, showed up on time, kept everything neat and clean. They hauled off the grass that had to be dug out, and left my lawn just as clean as they found it when they started. The edging was placed symmetrically and straight. They even watered the plants before they left. Everything went very well and I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Johnny was very responsive. We had more work to do than was included in coupon, paid for extra time which was reasonable. Work was completed on time as needed.

There was good communication from the first contact for a bid throughout the entire process. All questions were answered promptly. All agreed upon work was completed to our satisfaction. Johnny Garcia is a nice and personable young business man. I would recommend him and his company.

They called right away to try to schedule. The owner was there all the time and was very helpful and he answered questions I had about future projects. Communication with them was great.

The project was all done according to the original schedule. All of the staff was great and helpful. Price is on the higher side, but is well worth it.

We had wanted to get the Big Deal through Angies List. However, we asked Blades of Glory too late, even though we emailed his staff before the deadline. However, you have to actually buy the $667 by the deadline to get the $1000 dea (BTW)l. We didn't understand that at first, but Johnny and his staff worked through Angies List to extend the deal for us, which was great! By then, it was late October and it appreared that the work would be done in late November. Well, because of overwhelming response to the deal, we had to back up to January to have the work done. We are not happy with this, because of the potential freeze of so many newly installed potted plants. However, they came and did the work January 23, 2014. They were professional and did a good and thorough job. At the end of the second day, they were done, but still needed to pull out a number of overgrown shrubs and to mitre cut the limestone edge along the mailbox plant border at the curb. Johnny asked that we pay the full contract amount since they were essentially done and would come the next week to finish the work. We trusted him to do the followup work, which we don't usually do until everything is completed. We had to cover most of all the plants over the next 2 months until the weather changed in April. It was a pain to check to see if a frost was coming each night and last year was one with many frosty nights. However, we still had some nights were not supposed to be freezes, but turned out to be. We figured that we had lost a few dozen of plants, especially the 1 gallon plants. However, as we watered the planted pots, we waited to see if any came back. Well, to our satisfaction, most all, but maybe 5 plants, came back. Meantine we were waiting to see how many lived before to call Johhny and 'Blades' to finally finish the remaining items we paid for. On June 2, 2014, we finally emailed Blades of Glory and asked Johnny to complete the remaining items on the punchlist from January. We promptly heard from him and he asked that he would do the work, but asked for a few wee s to complete the work. Finally on July 1, Johnny Garcia came and finished the remaining work. We are very pleased with the outcome and the landscape looks great. It is what we wanted it to be. It just took much longer to finish the final punchlist items, but it was completed to our satisfaction.

They did well. I was pleased with them. It ended up being $2700. I would say that they are very professional, prompt as far as showing up when they were supposed to and calling me back when they were supposed to is concerned, they answered my questions so it was a good overall experience. The cleanup was great. It doesn't even look like they were there.

The entire process was very pleasant and Johnny was very responsive and answered any questions or concerns. The gentlemen that did the rock walls took their time and really put the rock together in a beautiful way that really compliments the new pool. They were on time and very professional and treated my property with respect. The plants that Johnny picked out have been doing great and he even credited me for plants that were not used or that I did not want. I have already recommended them to other friends who have been looking to get some landscaping done. I plan to post some pictures once the grass really takes hold to show how wonderful of a job they did.

I had written a review that somehow didn't upload. In brief, I was too embarrassed to include a "before" photo of my backyard of weeds and dirt. This family is now enjoying our time outdoors on on little patio and transformed yard with drought-tolerant sod, expanded beds, and pretty paths.

Went with a different company. I found them to be too expensive.

We purchased the Angie's List Deal for $599. Johnny scheduled an appointment to come by for our consultation. He had some very good ideas regarding the space. We live in a garden home with a small front and back yard. The front yard was very ugly and was covered in landscape paper about 3" under jasmine plants, which hindered anything from growing well. We requested that the jasmine and landscape paper be removed so we could xeriscape ourselves. Johnny suggested adding a landscape rock and more river stones for exisiting paths. These items added about $350 to the cost. He had some other ideas that we will hire Blades of Glory to implement at a later date. It took about two weeks to get a finalized estimate and another two weeks to have the work begin. A three man crew came to our home and completed the work quickly. We also had them do some other landscaping work, listed above, since there was time to spare. The next day we had two neighbors stop by to comment on how nice the yard looked. We are no longer "those neighbors" thanks to Blades of Glory. We look forward to working with Blades of Glory in the future.
