They did not really have a certain time to come out because I was here all day.

Very smoothly. Johnny and his two workers communicated with me during every stage, assuring that I was happy with the way it looked.

Work only took about three days, but that was back breaking labor! They had plenty of workers and they kept at it until it was done, and the end result is beautiful! A bit pricey, but for us it was worth it. We had them put sod in one spot, but within days our boys had killed it all due to high traffic with a tree swing there. So we had Johnny come back out and replace the sod with kiddie mulch which we should have done from the beginning, but we just didn't realize how much our kids would enjoy using the new backyard!

Johnny and his crew did an exceptional job. I don't understand the negative reviews because our project couldn't have gone any smoother. Johnny came out three times before they got to work in order to tweak our plan and he was always cooperative and flexible on his end. And once they got started the crew was great. Cleaned up each night and left our yard looking good when they were done. And the work? It turned out much better than we anticipated and we are very picky about our yard and the landscaping. Their work compliments our new pool beautifully. I wouldn't hesitate to use Johnny again or to refer him to my very best friends or family. And his prices were very reasonable in my opinion.

From the start, Johnny Garcia and his crew were responsive and did a great job. No sub-contractors... the crew who performed the landscaping were BOG employees. I got a reasonable estimate and the landscaping was completely redone... new plants, mulch, topsoil, moss rocks, and hard scape. The beds were converted to drip irrigation by a partner company, H3O. I also had them add 4 LED landscape lights. All in all they did a beautiful, quality job and I recommend them and will use them again for other jobs.

Excellent. Everthing looks beautiful. Their schedule opened up and they were able to start work a week earlier. Took 4 days to do all the work. Workers were punctual every day and owner came every day to make sure work was done properly and getting our approval on layout. Any changes made by us were confirmed immediately by a call and email with secretary with a signoff to acknowledge any changes and cost. I would recommend them to friends and family and may use them in the future for outdoor lighting work.

The project was delayed it wasn't their problem. We had a lot of rain in the area and so we had scheduled the time but they were very prompt about letting me know that previously scheduled projects ahead of mine had been delayed and so they gave me updates and that was fine. We had charges for plants and trees, we have a rock and additional labor. They planted two trees and several plants. They finished when they said they were going to finish. They laid out a line, they actually put up a, once I had purchased some stone and they put up a border along where the landscaping was so they dug a small trench and laid a flat board, they didn't mortar the stones but when they did that they left out a tree which was strange cause when it all was finished and done I looked at it was like why would you leave a tree that had already been there, left some plants in place why would you leave one tree out of the landscape border. When I said that they said oh sure we will fix it and they fixed it but they charged me extra money for it, so I wasn't really happy about that. We thought that they had done some prep of the ground before they laid the weed barrier cause one of the main reasons I was having the landscaping redone we had had an in growth of weeds so I wanted it pretty much all dug out, new ground replaced, weed barrier put down which they did put weed barrier down but in some places they left a gap so within a week the weeds started growing up through the rocks where the gap and the weed barrier was and then I thought that they were going to do some kind of ground prep in order to prevent further weed growth, it wasn't written in the contract so I can't really blame them but within two weeks there was a significant area where even though the weed barrier was in place weeds had grown up through the weed barrier and so kind of like a three foot by ten foot area it looked just as bad as when we originally started the landscaping. So what I did was I emailed them and I said we have an issue and I wanted to know if you had 100% guarantee that you would be able to come out and fix this and they said okay send me pictures, and I sent them pictures and I had already paid the full bill and so I didn't hear anything back from them. So I ended up having to do the work myself.

They did a wonderful job and complete it in a timely manner. Johnny and his workers were courteous, respectful and very helpful.

The workers were great. They came when they were expected, cleaned up after themselves, and worked hard despite unusually high temperatures. Originally there was a problem with how the pavers were laid but it was taken care of completely and immediately. The owner, Johnny Garcia, was responsive and thorough. Alas the original weeds that I had hoped to eradicate came right back through the newly laid sod.

While everyone worked hard and came when they said they would, I am heartbroken at my dead jasmine that was climbing up the tree in the back yard that got cut when it wasn't suppose to be. I now have a tree full of dead jasmine and it looks terrible. The ground cover in the front yard was planted very superficially and although it's not their problem, I have an armadillo digging it up faster than I can replant it. I have had to add additional soil to cover up the plants as I replant them and that seems to be helping. I did contact Johnny about the cut jasmine and will call him back to see if he can make this right.

We are very pleased with the work quality. Visitors to our home comment that our backyard looks like a park. It is beautiful. Workers were punctual and very hardworking. They worked long days despite poor weather conditions. We trusted Johnny and found him pleasant to work with and responsive. This project was challenging in that we were modifying our existing landscape. Johnny was careful to not damage what was already in place and to work with our multiple needs. We appreciated his flexibility and respect of the customer.

I called Blades of Glory last week and left a message that I wanted to schedule an appointment for an estimate on installation of stone masonry borders around all my gardens in my front and back yards as well as installation of a flagstone walkway in one of my gardens in the backyard. After three days of hearing nothing from them, I called a second time and left another message. They never returned any of my calls. I assume they don't want any new business.

After obtaining three different bids, Blades of Glory outbid the other two. I completely agree with other testimonials. Johnny was punctual and paid attention to details, delivering the project as planned. Johnny and his crew were professional and courteous. Johnny and his office staff, Jennifer were responsive to all my phone calls, emails and text messages. We are planning to use their services again on future projects and will recommend to family and friends.

Fantastic! They worked very hard to make sure I got the most value for my deal. They were also very prompt, meticulous, and great communicators. I have nothing at all negative to say about them!

We ended up paying an additional $2800. I knew we were going to do a lot more than just 15 hours of labor. I bought a lot of plants around the yard. They could have probably given me plants that looked a little fuller and healthier. I wanted some of the plants to be a little bigger. But, it didn't happen. The owner was lovely to work with. He was doing everything he could to do what I wanted. He installed some river rock and that was the only thing I wanted him to remove. He took the time off Holidays. The workers were very nice. They were very fast and they were very neat and clean about it and very careful.

Wonderfully completed the project - on-time, on-budget, excellent communication Purchased Angie's special and made a few tweaks and added a couple of lights - pricing was fair for all The project turned out awesome and we love the results!! Crew was punctual and kept things neat during and after.

From start to finish, this was an A+ project. I purchased this lighting package through Angie's List. I was promptly contacted by Jennifer at Blades of Glory and we set a date for them to come out and look at my yard. I received a phone call two days in advance to verify our appointment. Johnny showed up exactly as promised. He was very polite as we discussed where to put the lights. He explained the materials he used, how he would run the wires and where he would put the transformer. On the day of the install, Johnny and his crew showed up right on time and had everything installed in just over an hour. Johnny showed me the actual lights he used and showed me how to adjust them should I want to. His workers did such a good job running the wires that I had to ask where they were. During the entire installation Johnny kept in touch with me to ensure placement of lights was where I wanted them. When I got home that night I was greeted by beautiful lights highlighting my house and trees. I love it! I plan on using Blades of Glory again in the future and highly recommend them!!

The Project went really well. BOG was given a very tight schedule of about 2.5 weeks between the pool completion and the reveal party and had there not been weather challenges I?m certain they would have held the schedule. During the project many adjustments were made by my wife and I and during each change we were able to adjust other parts of the project to control costs of which Johnny and his team were always up front and honest. Also they themselves came with some experienced insight such as not using lava rock near the pool but river rock instead to avoid injury to the kids feet. Their team was very aggressive with the scheduling and often that lead to the team showing up on site unexpectedly early on in the project but communications improved drastically after a few conversations with Johnny. I absolutely would use them for additional future projects

It was the end of summer so it took a while to get on the schedule. Once started the work was done expeditiously and professionally. We needed a large amount of stone work which turned out very well. They even used leftover stone from our pool deck to add steps and build a walking path across the rock river. Johnny had a great design which markedly improves the backyard. As requested the full yard is irrigated and involves little maintenance. I'd use Blades of Glory again for any landscaping need.

I probably paid double for what work was done, plus $100 extra for some debris to be carried away. See details above
