Johnny was very polite and professional. His crew was also very polite and hard working. Spreading the river rock was very heavy work and very time comsuming. They did a beautiful job! They then layed flagstone to create one long walk path and two small paths. They also did a great job on these. I would use Blades of Glory again. And I would highly recommend them to others.

I had a project in mind but knew that the discount on the labor would definitely save me a lot of money over what I had been quoted by other contractors. I scheduled a day/time to meet with the owner of the company, Johnny Garcia, to discuss my project. I gave Johnny a list of everything I was looking for and we discussed some of my needs i.e. hide electrical box. Johnny gave me some good advice on plant selection, which I decided to go with. Johnny was able to purchase the landscaping materials for me at a discounted rate, which saved me the trouble of picking up or arranging delivery and paying retail for all of the materials. He gave a written estimate, which I agreed to. We scheduled a day for the project. Johnny was constantly in communication with me regarding plant selection, project status, and change orders. The team that showed up were friendly and efficient. Johnny sought my approval for plant placement, which ensured the plants wound up exactly where I envisioned them. They did beautiful work! They had some extra mulch left over so the Supervisor, Ray, asked if they could mulch my beds up front (the project was in the back yard). Of course, I agreed (Bonus!). I am very happy with the work that they did and look forward to using them in the future for additional landscaping or exterior lighting projects.

Johnny and four man crew showed up about 30 minutes early and after quick orientation set to work. Worked nonstop for 4 1/2 hours until job complete.

Blades of Glory did a masterful job. Johnny Garcia was professional, punctual, and delivered on the promised work. His crew knew what they were to do and did it in the most, skilled and proficient manner. This is the third time we have used the company and we will use them again in the future. Mr. Garcia gave use a complete estimate of the job and offered several useful suggestions which were incorporated in the final bid. We heartily recommend Blades of Glory and we will take advantage of any future Angie's List coupon that may come available. Heck, we will definitely use them again in the fall regardless of whether or not such a "deal" is offered. Mr. Garcia and his crew cannot be beaten for quality, honesty, and professional service. Note: My spouse is quite particular in her desires for our property and she demands the best. Since she is elated over the work performed by Blades of Glory, I can only surmise that anyone who cares about their property will, likewise, be pleased with Mr. Garcia's company.

Johnny and his team arrived on a Monday and was done by Thursday. They brought in rock, grout, roses, and sod. They transformed my yard into a great space. My boys love it, I love it.

He was a very nice man, but he is not able to do the type of retaining wall we want built. He seems like a really worthy guy, though. I decided to get the deal refunded.

I was to pay now for the "deal" which is not a problem. The problem was they would get someone out to do the estimate in the next week or so, but it could be up to 2 months before they could do the work. The gentleman on the phone was very nice, but stated they were very busy and he could refer me to someone else if I needed the work done sooner than two months.

He does a great job. He really knows his plants and knows what looks good. He knows about putting in xeriscaping.

Johny came by and did a thorough walk-thru and estimate. His people were punctual and worked diligently. When it was apparent he wouldn't need as much mulch as he thought, he reduced the price. Johnny also informed us about a SAWS rebate program, and we were able to use his invoice to get a $150 credit on our water bill. We will definitely use this company again.

Johnny was responsive and put up with the constant re-writing of the estimate to get it into my price range. We had to alter the project plan just a bit and Johnny provided suggestions as to how to do that. His team did good work, kept the site clean and got the work done in a timely manner. I ended up having to do the project in phases and hope to use Johnny and his team in the spring to plant the flowers, and install some lighting in the yard. I like the new yard and it will be so much easier to maintain now with no grass.

He called to set up the appointment. Was on time. Workers got started and did a good job. He came back the next day to finish off, and has called me since to make sure everything was okay.

Overall I am extremely happy with the results. The crew was on time, worked all day except for lunch, and were couteous and professional. I highly recommend Johnny and crew and would not hesitate to contract with them again!

Very responsive, pleasant and easy to work with. Will definitely start our landscaping with this company in the New Year.

They were quick, efficient, and helpful when I had questions.? Most importantly they had the most competitive bid of 3 that I received.

Bought Angie's list big deal $599. Called for appt to look at job and give estimate. Johnny surveyed job and emailed me estimate about a week later. I questioned the extra $183 charge to bring base material ($25) and sand ($25) that he picked up right down the street from me. His explaination was that his trailer isn't paid for yet and everybody charges delivery. I question$120 because he hauls his tools in that trailer to the job anyway (was pulling the trailer when he came to give the bid). Johnny and the crew of 3 arrived 1 hour late with no apology or explaination, but got right to work, kept me informed of progress, worked neatly and quickly, cleaned up well after complete.They were finished and gone in just about 5 hours. Very pleased with the work done.

Got a hold of Johnny using one of the Bid Deal coupons. We started off small then started building the project. He was very quick to work within our budget and as we added and changed things he was able to modify other parts of the project to keep us on target. I would (have already) recommend BOG to to others and would hire them again.

We were very pleased with Blades of Glory Landscaping and Lawncare. My only concern was that the owner left shortly after he arrived. I thought he left to get something, but he didn't. He was working on another job and had I known he wasn't going to come back I would have watched a little more carefully. I didn't feel he had given them very good instructions. They had to redo some of edging, because he didn't tell them to bring it further out. I didn't feel like he gave them good instructions. I talked to with him after it was done and told him you know if you weren't going to be here and you weren't coming back it would have been a courtesy to me to say you were working on another job and you told the guys what to do, because then I would have watched them a little closer. I thought the crew was great, but I would have overseen a little bit closer. It was a lot of money. I told him it wasn't very courteous of him to not to tell me he wasn't going to be working on the job, that he just left his crew here. I said you have a great crew, but that was not the point. I said it just would have been courteous. The work is great. I was just upset with the one thing. His price was reasonable, because it included the grass, the rocks, and a lot of labor. I didn't think he was very professional, but the crew was real professional. I would use them in the future.

The job was perform very well.

Everyone who represented the commpany was very courteous, prompt with both providing the estimate and the work day.

It went very well. I would recommend their work to others.

Next time I would ask more questions but I would probably use them again.

Blades of Glory Landscaping and Lawncare were on time, were good workers, and it was god service in general.

I emailed Johnny Garcia of Blades of Glory on 30 April 2012 to set up a date to get an estimate. We agreed on 10 May but he did not tell me what time until I asked him in my 7 May 2012 email. By that time, I had to schedule another commitment before Johnny replied to me so had no choice but to limit my time that day to after 2:30. As is turned out, it rained quite a bit that day and Johnny understandably had to cancel. However, he never did reschedule and I've since moved on and have gotten estimates from three other landscaping companies. I feel that if it is this difficult to get a response to simply set up a time and date for an estimate, I can't imagine what it'd be like to get a project completed, especially if I had questions or needed to communicate with Mr. Garcia.

The owner and his staff are excellent. They listened carefully to what we wanted and even made a few excellent suggestions as to how to improve the look of our landscaping at no additional cost. The job took them three full days to complete. Mr. Garcia's employees worked hard the entire time. I would definitely recommend this company.

After a slow start due to my plan changes to meet HOA approval, Johnny came back with a second bid which we compromised on to meet my budget. He then added me to his list and began the removal process on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. Continued on Tuesday and finished on Wednesday with final touches on Thursday. I was very please with the finished product and found Johnny professional, knowledgeable and extremely easy to work with. After Johnny was finished, there was a gentleman that drove by 3 times checking out my new yard.
