Great- exceeded expectations

They provided excellent service at reasonable price. The assigned handyman Jesse was very professional, prompt, and each job was completed with high quality. This is our first experience with handyman service and we were very pleased with the ease and convenience of Handyman Matters. We definitely will use this company again and refer family/friends.

I called Handyman Matters left a message and they called me right back same day. They fit me into their schedule and their handyman, Marc Chambers, called 10 minutes before the scheduled time just to make sure I was home. He was punctual and really helpful. They had a $70 (hour's work) minimum and when the sticking door only too 5 minutes to repair, he asked if there was anything else that I needed to have looked at. I also liked that he took off his shoes before coming in the house. Very nice, I would recommend them highly.

The quality of the work is an excellent job. You can tell that it is newer than the house itself.

Brett was outstanding. This is the first time I have used Handyman Matters and everything about the organization is extremely professional. We Reviewed my list when Brett came and identified what needed to be purchased at Home Depot which included a new door lock and dead bolt, wood for the window and matching grout for the bathroom tub. The $474.41 included the materials of about $119 and a little over 4 hours worth of time. I also received a 10% discount through Angie's list. Brett worked very quickly on my list of items and explained things along the way. I asked him if he noticed anything that might be done in the future and talked about my other windows being inspected along with caulking. I also asked if they built decks and Brett indicated yes since I may consider this in the future. Brett was neat in every aspect of these undertakings. I also called the office and expressed how pleased I was with Breett's work. I will definely use them again!

I called them a week before I had the work done. They are very responsive and worked with my schedule. My handyman Brett is great - he is fast, friendly and know his stuff. I am very pleased and will use them for any future work!

Doug was beyond wonderful. I had tried several different companies to get the ceiling an in my 2-story family room replaced. Most just laughed at me - others, just gave me outrageous quotes without any guarantees they could get it done. When Doug first came out he listened to my sad story. Then he did a full evaluation of the situation (climbing up to see if 1) I could reuse the existing downrod and 2) if it could just be replaced from the downrod down. Upon investigation, he determined the downrod would have to be replaced which of course meant going all the way up to the ceiling (20 feet). He told me he would have to rent a lift to access the ceiling. We have hardwood floors, so obviously I was a bit concerned about this, but Doug called me almost immediately upon looking at the lifts to say it was lightweight & would work, but that we'd have to roll that price into the installation - which was perfectly fine with me and he quoted me $400 for the entire installation (which was $100 less than anyone else had quoted & they were all quotes from downrod down - no telling how much they would have charged for the ceiling height.) Doug called to schedule the installation and showed up on time with his new employee. To say they handled everything beautifully would be an understatement. The existing celling fan (which had been installed at the time the home was built by the builder) did not come apart easily. So, trying to remove a heavy fan without disassembling could not be easy. Without going into all the details, this was a much more difficult project than anyone could have anticipated and they did a wonderful job. Our house is on the market and we had a showing scheduled for 4:30pm - and although they had encountered one problem after another - they were done & helped me get the house back in order in that timeframe. Doug was honest with me through the whole process and although we had agreed on $400 before the process started, with the degree of difficulty and time I paid him a bit more to compensate for time. I will use Doug & Handyman Matters again for projects as I felt he not only listened to me, he did excellent work at a fair price. Thanks Doug!

,Juan showed up at the appointed time and did an outstanding job. Cleaned up the mess, was careful not to damage the new cabinets or the glass cooktop. He answered all my questions.

INSTALLED NEW DRYER VENT LINE IN 30 YEAR OLD CONDO. METAL VENT BEHIND WALL FROM FLOOR BEHIND DRYER WAS TIED INTO TWO STUDS. OF COURSE LINE WAS INSTALLED BEFORE WALLS WERE COMP;ETED. IMPOSSIBLE TO TIE INTO WITH A NEW VENT LINE OR TO REPAIR OLD LINE WITHOUT BREAKING OUT THE WALLS AND REMOVING METAL SLEEVE ATTACHED TO STUDS. SOLUTION WAS TO CLOSE UP OLD VENT SYSTEM AND ESTABLISH NEW SYSTEM WITH NEW TUBING AND CONNECTIONS. ALSO REQUIRED ADJUSTMENT TO CURRENT SOFT WATER WASTE SYSTEM LINES. EXCELLENT JOB BY MATT, TO BYPASS ALL PROBLEMS AND ESTABLISH NEW SYSTEM. KEPT OWNER INFORMED OF ALL ACTIONS AND AND EXPLAINED WHY CERTAIN ACTIONS WERE NECESSARY. EVERYTHING WAS DONE IN A VERY PROFESSIONAL MANNER, AND THIS OWNER IS MORE THAN SATISFIED. WILL USE THIS COMPANY AND ESPECIALLY MATT FOR ANY HANDYMAN JOB WITHIN THE HOUSE.

we usually do the hanging of items ourselves, but with this home, the ceilings are 20' and we didn't have the ladder to do this job, and I didn't want my husband to hurt himself. Juan came out early, brought materials needed, set up and got started. He measured and made sure all items were level and in place I wanted them. It was not an easy task, let me assure you. He was kind, courteous, and knew what he was doing. I would recommend them/him to anyone. He finished within time agreed upon and when he left I was nothing short of pleased. In just one day, my house has changed to what I had had envisioned. Thanks so much and I will certainly be spreading the word.

Our deck and steps, built in 2006, had several warped boards, loose rails, and peeling paint. I called Handyman Matters who sent Chris the next day to look things over and provide an estimate (just under $1300). Chris returned 3 days later to begin work but rain forced him to postpone until the following Monday. He showed up early Monday and worked alone all day in near 100 degree heat, removing old warped boards and power washing. Since he couldn't finish in one day, he came back the next day, again working all day in the heat, until finishing after 7:00PM. He replaced all rails with new treated wood, screwed down loose boards, power washed and stained the deck and steps. He also reinforced all rail supports by adding long wood screws in appropriate spots. We were really impressed with Chris's work; he was punctual and professional. We would definitely use Handyman Matters again!

They were fine and I had no problem at all. The price wasn't unreasonable. They were on time and they did very good work. They cleaned up afterwards. They were good and I had no complaints. They seemed to do a good job.

The people were competent but the last guy who came seemed to have some kind of deficit. Both of them, I could say that they did do the work that I needed done. It was okay. I didn't have any issues since the service has been provided. It started to settle again because of normal stuff. They're very pleasant on the phone. They listen to what I wanted done. The person they did send out was competent.

They did work for us twice. They did a good job, they gave an estimate, and that is how much it ended up being. The service was great, and I would highly recommend them.

I have had very good experience with them. They are very reliable, and they come on time. I have used them a couple of times, and they do good work, and they clean up any mess that they make. I don't have anything negative to say. They did very nice work. The guys who came and did the work were very professional, polite, and friendly. It was a very good experience. The price was competitive.

We've had good experience with Handyman Matters overall. Anything that was like an issue or anything they always worked with us.

Great job...handyman came over and gave a reasonable quote for work...started the next day...took an extra day than quoted, but OK, work was done great. Would definitely hire again...

They were very puntual. The person the did the work made certain without prompting to clean the work area every time he visited. The installation of theSink was done with professionalism. The coordination with his dispatcher was timely. I would use the company again when I need any assistance in my home. It should be said the price was reasonable without being the lowest quoted for the work.

Excellent. Zack was the handyman & he couldn't have been nicer & more professional, in spite of his having to balance on a ladder in & over my river rocks in the yard.

Everyone that I encountered at this company was very friendly and helpful. Even though this was a pretty minor job for them, they still acted like the job was important. All of my calls were returned in a timely manner and they were on time for both appointments. The workers were very nice and they did a great job. I will definitely use this company in the future!
