This was my second time to use Southern Plumbing Services. The first time was Sept of last year when they laid some copper pipe from my water heater in my garage into the house. This time they fixed a leak on an exterior water pipe which required some digging. Both times they exceeded my expectations. Their work is top notch, and reasonably priced. Chris takes the time to explain what he is doing and explains the best options. Both my experiences were marked with promptness, courtesy, professionalism and value for my money. Could not recommend them higher.

I was very impressed with Sergio and Jaimie. They arrived and came in and assessed the problem. They were professional and had the job completed in a very timely manner. I could not be happier. I had another plumbing company come out the day before, and although they were very nice and tried, they could not unclog my drain. Hats off to Southern Plumbing. I will definitely use them again.

Everything went extremely well. Summary of the job: . David did a great job. He looked at my house and gave me a quote with several options within 1 day. Since his ratings from Angie's list are good and his estimate was 25+% cheaper than others, I chose his company. . The schedule was setup within 2 days of quote acceptance. . The re-pipe crew of 2 arrived on-time. They took 2 days to complete the job. The house water was off only ~8 hours. This was finished faster then I expected, yet it was within the original schedule estimate. . Note the warrantee is also the best from the 2 other est8imates I received - 25 years parts (PEX) and 2 years labor.

There was a spot in one of our flowerbeds that was always water-logged. Our kitchen drain line ran through that area so we suspected a leak in the drain line. Our landscaper suggested we have a plumber run a camera to check for leaks. I called two plumbers before I called Southern Plumbing. While I was on the phone with Southern Plumbing, I described the problem and he (David) suggested he come out and take a look before we spend the money on running the camera (the quote he provided for running the camera was less than the other two plumbers I had called). He came out immediately (he arrived 20 minutes after our phone call!) and diagnosed the true problem in less than one minute after arriving - that the water was coming from a hot water heater drain that ran down from the attic (we knew the drain was there but had never seen water coming out of it, so didn't think that could be the problem). Sure enough, the pressure relief valve on the hot water heater was slowly leaking and water was dripping from the drain about every 30 seconds (we just never happened to be looking at it when it dripped). David went into the attic and fixed the relief valve at no charge! This saved us about $300! We will definitely be calling Southern Plumbing for all our future plumbing needs. THANK YOU, DAVID!!!!

The guys at Southern Plumbing were great. When I called for a quote they came out when they said they would and not only quoted me on what I thought I needed but took the time to understand what my needs were and gave me options. The other companies simply quoted me on what I told them I needed. Sergio and his helper showed up at exactly the time we determined to start the job. Monday morning they were in the attic measuring and fabricating the lines. Tuesday the water was cut off promptly at 8 a.m. and the tie-ins began. I can't imagine working in an attic in August in Houston but the crew stayed up there and completed the work by the end of the day. Sergio kept me in the loop with the work progress and took the time to explain any decisions he needed to make for routing the piping. He really went beyond what I have come to expect from a job foreman. The work quality is great... little things like when the drywall needed to be cut for access the cuts were precise and done with care so the pieces would fit back into place until we can have the wall repaired. All the city permits were done for me and the inspection was scheduled by Southern... an experience I have had to do myself with other contractors. When the day was done and the water was back on the crew cleaned up all their tools and materials and even swept out my garage so they essentially left the place more clean than when they started! Overall a very professional job.

Have older house with 1960's plumbing and pipes. Removed old drum trap, replaced with new pvc pipe. Had to work in a confined space to get to pipes behind shower and tub. Completed work in less time than anticipated. Drain now running smooth. Work was very professional and we are very pleased with the outcome. Would definitely use Southern Plumbing again. Called Southern Plumbing Services and spoke with (David) who sent over (Chris) to unclog my upstairs bathroom sink drain. The bathtub drain was fine, just the sink was clogged. Turns out, my 2-story house is built with the attic air conditioning receptor draining into the same sink drain. I initially tried to snake the line myself to clear the blockage (caused by condensate from the AC), but, couldn't fully clear the lines. So, I reached out to find a plumber to fully open the lines. Called around 9am and by 11am, Chris was at house to resolve problem. Interaction with both guys was highly professional and courteous. I think it helped tremendously to fully describe my problem to David so diagnosis at the house was spot on. Chris took care of the opening the drain and suggested I put bleach once a month (followed by hot water flow) into the sink to killl algae build up. I recommned Southern Plumbing and will probably ask them to quote a water softening unit install job next.

I contacted Southern Plumbing on Monday, August 11, 2014 to inquire about getting the aforementioned Saltless Filter-Softener system installed. The plumbers arrived on August 12, 2014 at the designated time and completed the installation in approximately 5 hours. The installation was professionally completed and my water tastes and feels much better since the system was installed. The cost was very reasonable based on the work that was performed. I would recommend this vendor to anyone needing professional plumbing services.

David gave me an estimate and was very professional. He got his crew out prompt and got it done in 2 days. Leo was the lead plumber and guide the whole crew to a great start to finish. They cut very little sheet rock and clean up when they are done. David came back the next day to make sure no leaks and everything was done right. Materials use was high quality per inspector. The project came with 2 year warranty parts and labor. I will be using them in the future again. Thank You Southern Plumbing

The service was AWESOME! From the phone call to inquire about their services to the phone quote for worst to best case cost scenarios to the very quick and professional service, our experience with Southern Plumbing went way beyond what we expected. We were told the plumber would arrive in approximately an hour and less than an hour later it happened. The quote we were given for least expensive repair was not only spot on but then reduced by 10% for Angie's List customer plus were given a two for one deal - two drains cleaned for the cost of one. Sergio, the company's plumber, and his assistant were very friendly and professional in getting the job done. They shook our hands firmly, explained in detail what the problem was and how they would take care of it, asked us if we had any questions and then proceeded to quickly take care of the clog. Sergio told me about the company's history (home grown local business) and the company's commitment to excellent service and professional staff. No surprises, no sticker shock, and no disappointments. Please give these guys a shot at your job. You will not be disappointed. We have a couple of other plumbing jobs coming up such as replacing some of the old iron pipes in the attic and we will definitely call Southern Plumbing back for service.

Service Provider was very prompt with the appointment and helped me gain a good understanding of my options. Work was performed timely and professionally. Cleaned up everything after the installation, tested to make sure things worked. Great Plumbing Company to call when you need help.

Very good service. Exceptional punctuality, and responsiveness. However, good services come very expensive.

David and their team were great. Always answered calls and prompt to return calls. Arrived at our home when they said that they would. Pricing was great for the job. They did excellent work and we would recommend them to anyone!

We had a leak in a very old water heater. They came the same day and completed the installation. They were professional and courteous.

The technicians could not figure out how to undo the handles for the shower or lavatory. It took two men almost an hour to tell me that the stopper could not be adjusted. They charged for an hour's labor - $160 less 10% Angie's List discount = $144. I hired a competetive plumbing company to look at the same issues. The technician adjusted the stopper within 1 minute. He easily removed the handle but then after many attempts to remove the next part found that this part had seized up. He described what would be needed to proceed with the job. We then caled Kohler and the technician spoke with Kohler as to what parts to send. The competitor's technician was here for an hour and charged for a house call - $49.95.

They are exceptional, courteous and professional. They will be my plumbers’ forever. They are timely, responsive and the prices are affordable. They are a remarkable company with a wonderful set of technician. They came to check a drainage problem I was having and took care of the problem. They were able to fix my problem immediately and they spent some extra time and did not charge me. I believe they put customers first and they are solution driven. They are one if the best in town.

They came out to the house and completed the task in 5 hours. The diggers did an excellent job digging a 22 ft ditch to run the line. They even put the bricks back nicely that were removed from the walkway once the line was ran. The plumbers ran the pex lne under the pier and beam house and added an extra shutoff valve that is in a much more conveinent location. Once the task was completed a few days later a leak was noticed at the meter. They came by twice to look at it and determined the leak was on the City's side of meter. It took 3 calls to the city but eventually they came out and corrected the problem.

We got quite a few estimates for our project that involved removing our old water heater and re-routing the gas line to the kitchen, and installing a new tankless heater. We chose Southern Plumbing for several reasons: Their estimate was on the low side (and there was a HUGE difference in prices!), but more than that, David (the service manager, and the provider of the estimate) was the only one to actually get up in the attic, crawl around and really look at what we had and what needed to be done. He was also the only one to suggest installing the tankless heater in the attic instead of the back of the house. We appreciated the professionalism of the crew. They got everything done in one day, and were friendly, respectful and tidy. We're already planning on having them come back for a future project!

I have never written a review, but after the terrible service of Southern Plumbing I am inclined to share my experience so that others may avoid this company. We have used Southern Plumbing twice in the past, about two years ago. They were knowledgeable, affordable and professional. Something may have changed over the years... We had a leak in our bathroom and called our go to plumber. The gentlemen arrived on time and was friendly. I was told I would have to pay for every action that they performed, and pay an hourly rate. To make a long story short, after 3 hours and almost $500, we were told that we had a broken pipe somewhere under the house. $500 to tell us we had a leak (which we were more than aware of, hence we called them to fix it...) After talking with the manager and telling him that we payed a lot of money for essentially toliet removal and snaking, he seemed to ignore us and stated he would come to our home the next day. Alias, he came out the next day, did not address the issue we spoke of prior and simply gave us a quote to only fix the pipe (not the removal of the concrete, the digging, etc..) which was 3x higher than any other bid for the complete service. We chose not to address our concerns further, as it would be a waste of time. Unless you like to over pay for plumbing services, do not use this company!

They were able to provide a quote to replace my attic hot water heaters on the same day I called. Their quote was very reasonable. They installed them a few days later. They were very fast and efficient. I was very pleased with their professionalism, product, price and length of warranty.

Everything went fine. But there was a leak a few hours later after the RO Unit was fully pressurized. They came back and fixed it, now everything is fine. They were the lowest estimate I got, they did good work and I'll call them back for future plumbing jobs if needed.

James showed up within 30 minutes of calling. Fixed the problems with no issue, tested the system before leaving and was professional the entire time. I would recommend James and Southern Plumbing Services. I have found my new plumbers!!
