Next Door Painting

It went well and I will use them again. Painting was done to a high standard and in a timely manner. I recommend this company.

Flusher was easy; could have done it (and have), but he was here. Liked the solution. I'd purchased a "fancy" unit with a double chain thing that was supposed to prevent slow leaks. Too complicated as that function was what jammed. He put basic unit in; works fine. Changed RO filters - really good job. It's difficult 'cause space under sink is so tight. He did it quickly, with extras. He added "quick release" valves to the various water lines, to make future change outs much easier. And he repositioned the unit under the sink to give us much more room for other items. As for the water heater, he said explained how it could happen as the heater kicked in and said the whistling is not unknown or a likely indication of a problem with out two year old water heater. Recommend just watching things and to call him back if it got worse. I like the caution when it comes to work and expense. Clearly more interested in taking care of us than in getting us to pay for something we might not need.

We had a little misunderstanding on what was to be painted but the owner came out and took care of the problem himself. As long as a problem is fixed that is all I ask. Thanks

Michael was very helpful and gave us some great ideas for painting our home to be both attractive and affordable. He has a lot of experience and it shows. We bought the paint and his team of three guys did the labor. Michael was there most of the day to supervise and insure things were going well. I would definitely use Next Door Painting for future projects!

He arrived early for the appointment and discussed what work needed to be done. I provided the paint and he provided everything else. He did a good job.

I requested that he start with the higher part on our roof line where there is some wood. I ask for this because we are seniors and cannot get on ladder and get on roof. He painted the wood but left all of the metal trim unpainted. We were staying with white paint that was on it so at least it isn't another color but it is discolored since it has been 9 years since it was painted. He then painted the front porch area but did not paint any of the gutter so we have the same problem. I am 74 and can probably get on a ladder to get the gutter but I cannot get on the roof. It would not have taken but just a few more strokes to have covered the metal strip that was right next to the wood. Now I have to leave it or pay someone else to do this. I called the company and they said they would have the painter call me. I never heard from the one that painted nor the company again.

They were prompt in coming out and they did a good job. He was there for less than half the time and wanted to leave -- I don't think he understood he was supposed to be there for the full day. We contacted the service provider and he was happy to reimburse us for half the day; he sent the check to us immediately. He was very fair and provided good customer service.

The bid was the lowest of three bids I recieved for the job. Kevin promptly returned my calls. The job was completed in 2 days. The painters cleaned up the site before they left each evenig, and at the end of the job. They applied 2 coats where needed, even though it was a one-coat bid. Nelson and Kevin were professional, and friendly.

I was in a time crunch as I wanted the interior of my home painted before I moved in. Next Door Painting was very professional and punctual. Erik came to get me a quote the same day I called and work started the very next day. My initial quote was $1700, but then I messed with my color selection of one of my daughter's room and they had to redo it - they charged me an extra $300, but it was my fault that I had chosen wrong colors. They also had to get some extra paint - so it cost me $100. Job quality was excellent. I will call them again for my future needs.

JJ was very nice and came out the following day from my initial call to give me an estimate. He was thorough in noting all of the work that I wanted done and I didn't feel pressured into using them, but after looking at other companies I knew that I liked his the best. They actually started the job several days earlier than they had scheduled me for, and someone was always on time so that I didn't have to leave my house unlocked with no one there. I called them initially to help re-texture and paint from where we'd had our house re-piped, and ended up hiring him to also repair/paint our deck, and fix sheet rock in the garage that was falling down. Overall, I am very happy with all of the repairs, but I did have to ask them back to correct things like texture and/or paint on the floors, windows, and in light fixtures. I would hire them again and certainly recommend them, but just be specific on the level of protection that you expect, because I do feel that if I had asked them they would have covered areas better. JJ and his crew do care, so if you have a concern- speak up!

The workers were excellent. They finished the job in 2 days. Very neat and the painting was top notch. We never even saw them. They started after we left for work and finished before we got home. I would not hesitate to use them again. You will not be disappointed.

We needed our 1690 sf house painted on the inside to get ready for renters. Next Door Painting was extremely responsive, even though I initiated contact on a Sunday. I had a reply from them within 10 minutes of my email to set up an estimate time. They worked around my schedule and were on time. The price quoted was excellent, and even though we decided to use another company, I was pleased with the service I received.

We hired JJ & Next Door Painting to paint our house + detached car port. JJ & the crew did an outstanding job from the quote all the way through the final touch-ups. The painting process was quick, thorough, and very high quality. I was especially impressed with the final walkthrough, where every little imperfection was tagged for a touch-up. No corners were cut on this job. We will be contracting Next Door Painting next year when we have some interior painting done. Overall, they did an outstanding job and we are very pleased with the results.

From the time the salesman, Scott Finkelstein came to give me the bid, to 5 days later when they were done it was exceptional. We were selling our house which had not been painted in 20 years, the house has never looked so good, I dont even want to sell it anymore. Great Job!!

Let me preface this review with I never write reviews. I am so impressed with Next Door Painting (NDP). From the beginning of the estimation to the final execution. To start, the flexibility of getting someone (JJ) to give us an estimate was painless. We first saw them on Thumbtack and submitted an inquiry. We got called back in 10 minutes (Sunday). Then we went to ole' faithful Angie's List to get the reviews. They were good to say the least. The only complaint I can remember, which I think is crazy is, NPD said it would take longer than it took... isn't finishing early a good thing!? So we made contact Sunday JJ came out on our schedule and actually called ahead and said he could meet early. We obliged. I met him and we did a walk through, then he gave me the paint samples to thumb through while he came up with an estimate. We had other estimates and his came in very close to the others. Then I was hit with the availability which sealed the deal. I wanted the house painted immediately and he said he had a crew available the next day. Woah... in the Houston market? I was skeptical at first but needed the house painted... So I locked in NDP. JJ quoted 3-4 days. I let them in each morning and they were on time every day. I was introduced to the who I thought was the crew leader, Jose, on the first day. Jose confirmed that he thought it would take 3 days and that he would be there every day. Each day I came and opened up the (unoccuppied) house, they met me and got right to work. I came through the house on the first two days prior to completion and noticed a couple spots that I knew would need touching up. I made a mental note. Throughout the process I had questions for JJ who I texted and he would literally respond in minutes... so awesome. Final walk through was on a Saturday. JJ and Jose gave us a time frame and nailed that time frame on the nose. Jose, JJ and the crew walked through the house with us and all those spots I had made a mental note on were already touched up. Everything was amazing. The paint lines were sharp, they spilled no paint anywhere, and the quality was just amazing. Lastly, when they left, the only thing they left behind was an amazing paint job and spare paint in case my wife an I damaged something on the move in. Would I recommend NPD, YES. I would say, ask for JJ and Jose. They will leave your house looking 10X better than when you called them!!!!

Estimated time of work was four days.Two man crew knocked it out in one and a half. Excluding materials cost of roughly 500.00, the price per hour was about $90.00! After my prodding the crew taped and removed switch plates. Two large drips from a sheetrock repair in den area. To top it off, crew painted 2 rooms that they were not supposed to- latex paint over existing oil-based!! Shameful.

The company was very professional to deal with, also very pleasant. The estimator showed up promptly and called ahead when he was on his way to verify the appointment. He was thorough in his estimate and I felt very fair. I was torn between using this company and another one as I like them both and felt I wouldn't be wrong with either. I ultimately chose the other company and was pleased with them. However, this is no reflection on Next Door Painting. I think I may use them for my next job.

Didn't end up getting the house painted after all, but I received great service from this company! Fast and professional responses!

They painted several rooms in our house (walls, trim, doors and ceilings) They did a great job and were through 1 day earlier than estimated. I HIGHLY recommend them for your home. Our home is a 1950 and looked like it had not been painted since probably the 80's and they had used latex paint over oil based paint and the crew made the house look like new :) Very Happy Customer!

Went great! They gave us an awesome price on paint at Sherwin Williams (I rec the ProMar 2000 line) and did an awesome job painting. They coordinated well with my flooring guys to make sure everything got in/out as efficiently as possible.

Punctual and professional. I found a Valspar paint that I really liked but was unable to get a color match from Sherwin Williams to the painters at Next Door Painting were still able to use the paint and applied it quite well. I was pleased that they primed the walls first and added two primary coats and a third in some places where coverage still was not enough (between the poor covering Valspar paint and the fact that the paint color was a shade of yellow, several coats were going to be necessary).
