The major problems that we are having is that the contractors drove nails completely through the shingles when installing the roof. We have water leaks and damage to a 20 foot wall in our home, and the roof will not pass a wind inspection for the insurance. Now we are going to have to get a new roof put on 3 years after it was installed, which is going to cost about $14,000.00. The first red flag was that he said we did not need a contract and that we should be able to trust each other, so we did not have a contract. He came highly recommend from friends that we trusted; however, it was friends from church that he never did work for. The damage occurred after Hurricane Ike, so we felt like if we didn't hire him then we would lose him and not have anyone to do the work for us. We have walls in the house that curved out because they shot it with nail guns that caused the walls to twist. There are a couple places where it looks like they drilled holes in the wall, which we are not sure what that was for. The contractor suggested that we take the cheapest route in getting the air ducts replaced, which did not effectively heat or cool our home. The HVAC company was so good that they came out and replaced the duct work at not charge. We had problems with our fireplace chimney covering. We had to go get the bricklayers to do the repairs because it was raining inside of the chimney. There were so many parts of this project that we had to do on our own. I had to call the carpet company when the contractor was not ready on the deadline for he floors to be done. We had to take the time out of our day to do his job. My husband had to hunt down the bricklayers to finish the fireplace, because it was not done and the carpets were getting laid the next day. We thought we had a contractor that was going to be taking care of those things, which he didn't. The bathroom door he had to hang 3 different times because he hung it in the wrong direction. The latch on the door still does not latch correctly because the framework is not square to the door. When they did the cabinets in the kitchen, the contractor did not tell the cabinet makers about an entire wall, so they had to come back out and reinstall them. They had the island in the kitchen facing the street instead of the living room, which they redid after trying to talk me into it being okay. We also spent around $800.00 in sheetrock and trim work that he messed up, which we paid another carpenter to complete. There is a glass block window in the bathroom that he said was okay. When we showed him that cracks in the glass blocks, it took him 6 months after we moved in to change that window out. The carpenter that did the sheetrock repair had to finish the job for the window because it the contractor did not properly silicone it after the installation. This contractors work is very suspect. The biggest problem was not having a contract. My husband would ask him if we owed him any money and he would say no, but then a couple months later he would tell us that we owed more money. There were never any receipts to show what he spent, which led to a lack of trust and accountability.

the home oner has never finished paying for the work that was performed we would do all the work needed if they had finished paying the bill. We can not do any repairs when they still has not paid for the work. They chose some of the people doing the work they have given the people they chose to do the work bad reviews We are very sorry that this has become such a problem. We will not give certificates to people that don't pay
