Description of Work: Mike Carbaugh was the General Contractor on my Daughter and Son-in-Law home in Fannett, tx. Just after the home was in the dry he made a draw of several thousands of dollars on the work that was now complete. Remember the house was in the dry and had stud walls almost complete. Brick was not finished, roof was complete but had to be entirely replaced, many many other things. At this point in time Mike Carbaugh disappeared with the money he had drawn and did not pay many of his contractors. He left the State of Texas and after an intense search he was located in North Dakota working for a contractor there. He was pursued with legal action and ended up returning a portion of the the money he stole. I will not comment on the exact amount as legal actions are not complete at this time. He put my family in a bind both with the home and financially. Throughout the process he continued to lie and was called down several times. At this time I have been informed that Carbaugh and Root are now out of business. This is according to the BBB. I strongly urge anyone considering using him as a contractor to steer clear. Contact the BBB and get the real story.

Description of Work: He built a detached double garage and a circle driveway.
