This business is now dba as Timms Construction & Remodeling but it is the same business. The "D" is for Dick, the "L" is for Linda the wife. Their website [*** Link removed ***] is a complete fake. ALL of the pictures can be found on google images. None of those pictures are of any work they ever did. Stay far away from this company! I hired them near the end of June 2016 to do a build-back following mold remediation in my house. I thought I did my homework. References checked out, questions were satisfactorily answered, initial evaluation of the project was thorough, and the estimates seemed reasonable if a bit on the high side. That was the end of any positive dealings. My experience with this company began with a near total lack of communication. The only phone numbers are cell phones for the owner and his wife. They never answered their phones, and almost never returned calls. They also did not respond timely to emails, and most texts went unanswered. In talking to the owner on the phone, a number of times he got upset and just hung up on me. They were not reliable as to time or any promises. With outside work to be done in Central Texas in July, they only arrived before 10 am a couple of times. Most times they arrived well after 10 and left by 3 because it was too hot. They also did not keep promises as to when they would work. Several times they promised to arrive on a certain day, and just never showed up, with no communication as to why or when they would come, and as always, no answer when I tried to call. And then, while the owner does seem to have some skill in construction, he did very little of the work himself, but instead arrived with low-paid semi-skilled labor, and did not stay to supervise the work. Numerous times he left the jobsite, saying he'd be back shortly, and then just never showed up. Work on my project was substandard and shoddy overall, and left a terrible mess in my house. They did not cover any of my furniture or personal items including inside my pantry, which all became covered in drywall dust and texture. I belatedly used my own sheets and bought my own dropcloths but by then it was too late. They got drywall dust and texture overspray on my carpet, closet doors, bathtub and everywhere throughout my entire house. They destroyed my new garden hose. They took a sledge hammer to my outside brick wall instead of using a masonry sub to do the work and, in the process, broke a window, which ended up costing over a week's delay for them to obtain a replacement. That was after the owner and his wife tried to ***** off some cheap substitute that was not the right window. Initially the owner arrived with three workers, all un or semi-skilled, but after several weeks there was only one worker left, an older disable man, who clearly did not have the expertise to do the work he was tasked with doing. Near the end of the job that worker was complaining of not having been paid for three weeks, and stated the other workers weren't there reportedly because of also not having been paid. The owners continually pressured me to pay more money so they could buy more supplies and pay their help, after I had already paid thousands of dollars, the bulk of the bid, in advance. I refused, citing the terms of their own contract that stated final payment due on completion of the job, at which they became irate, and then started rushing the remaining work, with even worse quality than before, if that was even possible. They did use a masonry sub to re-brick the outside wall, but then tried to change the agreement to have me pay that sub directly and pay them instead, which nearly resulted in the sub walking off with the job half done. I did end up paying the sub, but it was an extremely unpleasant and unprofessional situation with me caught in the middle. They were also extremely slow. What should have been a five-day job at most was still unfinished after a month when I finally let them go, taking a loss to do so.They were very keen on getting a contract signed immediately and collecting a down payment, but then kept trying to add on extra charges and costs that were not disclosed and agreed on in advance as their own contract stipulates, some of which were complete fabrications. The owner's wife created a very ugly scene on my front lawn in front of others when I refused to pay an "invoice" for thousands of dollars for multiple items that had never been disclosed or agreed on, some of which were outright lies. She cursed me in front of my neighbors and the bricklayers, and threatened to tear down bricks with her bare hands. This has been one of the absolute worst experiences I've ever had in dealing with any company and I am posting this review in hopes of saving others from a similar experience. I ended up having to search for another contractor to fix and finish what this one was supposed to have done, but having already spent so much on this incompetent company, was unable to do what should have been done, which is completely tear it out and start over. The new contractor was excellent and did a good job fixing up the bad job, but I'm still having to deal with the substandard quality of this company's work. Consider this a warning. If you're considering hiring this company, proceed with extreme caution, or better yet don't proceed at all.

Horrible. There were about 4 guys on his crew and none of them knew what they were doing. The project was supposed to take 10 days and over a month later, our bathroom still wasnt finished. They materials were supposed to be an extra 300-350 then all of a sudden they were $1200-$1500. We had already purchased $1500 on our own and they told us exactly what we needed. He hired his son in law and one of his friends and they let some woman into our house to look around and see their work. We have no idea who she was and what she wanted. We didnt give them the ok,nor did they ask. One day we got a phone call from the owner and he said he fired his crew and that we need to go see if we have any valuables missing. The tile work is junk. The wall is wavy and they tried to put penny tile, that was cut in half, on the wall and use grout to fill in the gaps. They also tried to plug our AC line with a towel and it caused more water damage in our wall and down in our pantry on the first floor. Then they demanded $2000 more for what, I have no idea. I would rather pay them to get out of our house. They also wrote an estimate for granite and sent it to our insurance company. We paid for it, and it turns out, they used our original piece of granite and tried to get another $3400 out of us. We also needed a light fixture switched out in our guest bathroom and they managed to break our light and bend the wall mount so it was hanging off the wall and looked like it would fall off at anytime. Plus they lost a finishing piece that was on both sides of the fixture, now its on one. Our furniture was just about ruined, they didnt protect it at all. They put a plastic thin dropcloth over the top of our things. They kept saying the work could be replaced, redone and fixed to perfection but in a span of only 3 weeks, it never got done. Do NOT Hire Them!
