Their service is good. They are professional and clean. Their guys wear uniforms. They send the same guy almost every time, so you can know who they are. They show their badge when they arrive. They clean things up. The guy that comes to our house is very knowledgeable and he explains things. He shows what he changed and shows me the broken parts that he replaced. They aren?t the cheapest.
Description of Work: I use Central Texas Mechanical for heating and air conditioning. They come out twice a year even if I don’t need them.

I have had a terrible time finding a competent company to service our complicated AC system which is a Carrier Infinity. I was directed to Cen-Tex via the Carrier website, so gave them a call. The woman that took my call was very cheerful and helpful. First she mentioned they have a service contract you can purchase that gives you two checks a year plus a discount on replairs and parts. I haven't signed up for that yet but intend to. So we scheduled the tech to come out, which he did and was on time. He looked over the system and discovered it was over a pound low on refrigerant. He was concerned since they have no history servicing the equipment and suspected a possible leak. I told him the company who installed it when my house was built, was not certified by Carrier so I was not certain it was at a proper charge to begin with. So he corrected the charge and charged me for the gas. There was even another tech stopped by to make sure everything was going okay and to see if the tech needed help. He also made sure to introduce himself and shook my hand. He then went upstairs to check the furnace/air handler. He said everything looked fine up there. I asked him about room air balance and suggested I call the office to schedule a specialist to check that, I haven't done that yet. He signed off and left, and I could tell right away the system worked better. Then about a month later I discovered an oversight. He had removed both of my media filters while checking out the system and forgot to re-install them, so my system had been running without filters for a month. They are in the attic so is why I didn't notice for a while. I called the office, and they didn't try to make excuses, they right away apologized and had the manager call me. He told me they were going to come out and do a free coil cleaning, plus installed two brand new honeywell filters (about $30.00 each), free of charge..Anyone can make a human error but they made good on it and quickly. Very professional and they service a lot of the homes in The Colony where we live.
Description of Work: AC system check out, freon levels, leaks, ect.

They did very good work, quality work and it was done promptly. Both houses were done in one day. The one thing that was less than desirable was that Tal Wiggington was slow to get us the paperwork for the Austin energy rebate. Six months after installation the systems shut down on a very hot Sunday and they came promptly on Monday morning and fixed the problem. The condensate line was blocked. They dug out the condensate line and unblocked it and everything has been fine. This problem was not due to them but existed before their installation.
Description of Work: They installed an air conditioning system and furnace in two different properties. There was also a leaking vent in the attic.
