DON’T waste your time or money with C & L Septic Services! My new aerobic septic-system, that Patrick Cantrell installed, did NOT work from day one. In fact, I quickly reported Patrick to Bastrop County Environmental and Sanitation Services because raw sewage was pooling in my yard from the fecal fountain that Patrick sold me (see attached image). Moreover, Patrick did not honor the installation price or product warranty he quoted me. He also created charges and even DOUBLE charged me for two listing on the final statement. And, although I purchased a 2-year maintenance contract with my new system, I had to hire another company for maintenance and to finish shutting down my old septic system. Sooooo, I do NOT recommend Patrick Cantrell or C & L Septic Services because I was CHEATED. And, there's a very special place in h*** for individuals who cheat senior citizens!

I called C and L because they were in Bastrop and had a good rating on Angie's List. They arrived precisely when they said they would. They confirmed what our quarterly septic tank inspection service had said, that the tank was full and the pipe leading to the tank was sloped. They were extremely well-spoken and professional. The charged me the same price they quoted over the phone and did not try to sell any extras.I was impressed with C and L and would recommend them to anyone. I feel like they can be trusted to perform a good service at a fair price.

We recently moved into our rental property that we bought five years ago. The septic tank had not been cleaned since we bought it and the seller could not say how long it had been. When C&L showed up I had already uncovered the tank clean-out port. He immediately mentioned that it was clear that the tank had not been pumped in a very long time. He had to work hard to mix the thick crust with the more liquefied sludge below but after about 45 minutes managed to get the small (500 gallon) tank clean. He was on time and polite. He said he would "give" me a product to improve the function of the tank. I neglected to examine the receipt closely before paying, and only afterward did I realize I'd spent an additional $60 for this product. Time will tell whether it is worth the extra $60; however, given that the tank was full enough to ensure that solids had begun to fill the lateral lines, I would have purchased such a product anyhow in an attempt to forestall having to dig up lateral lines and replace them in the hopes that such a product might be effective at breaking up the solids and improving the function of the system. I would use them again -- on time, no rigamarole, no extra fees (although I would have preferred it had the operator recommended the product and made it clear that it was not included in the price of septic tank pumping).
