They are vendors for home warranty plan, called then on a Friday at 7 am due to heater not working, did not respond until late Monday with a time of repair for Tuesday and would arrive between 11:00 & 5:00 pm, that's a awful long window time. Called to try to pinpoint a better time frame, no response. Arrived at 4:30, kept shouting at us to read thermostat for him, his helper was upstairs. Told us the thermostat we had was a nicer expensive one and he did not carry some with him but could get one. Heater started working because he said he bypassed something and to call him on Thursday if it was still not working, I informed him the temps would be getting in the 30's in the next couple of days, he said to keep our fingers crossed and turn it off and on to see if it would work and hopefully everything would work great. I called him on Thursday morning at 7 am, thermostate not working, phone is never answered, goes straight to voicemail, called again at 10:00, 11:00& 3:00, no answer. Sent text message no response. Called again at 4:45 no response. Called Home warranty service company scheduled with someone else. Denny's AC finally called me back Friday at 9 am and asked if I had tried turning it on and off to get it to restart, really? And said that he could come by the following Tuesday to replace thermostat! NO THANK YOU, bad customer service, just horrible!

Dennis Davis is the sole owner and operator of Denny's AC. We had the displeasure of coming in contact with Dennis when American Home Shield sent him to our home as a HVAC service provider. He is a grumpy and rude man. Called him out b/c AC was having difficulty kicking on. He did not solve the issue and our AC went out completely...in the South Texas summer a week later. AHS sent Dennis out again aid he said needed a new compressor. After waiting 3 weeks (yes, it was 100+ degrees outside!) for the part, Denny came out again to install. Mind you, he proceeded to smoke a cigar while at my home working! He finished, came in to collect his $ at which time I told him it's not working properly, the AC was BLOWING HOT AIR. His response was, "nah, it's fine." and he left. Well, it wasn't fine. I texted him multiple times after he left to again notify him it was not working and he never responded. We ended up calling out another provider outside of our AHS contract, 1604 Air & Heat, who recommended replacement of our condenser unit. The 1604 rep was puzzled why Dennis bothered installing a compressor in such an old unit. Any competent provider should have recommended replacement. Folks, do not waste your time or money with Denny's AC. He is rude and incompetent. My guess is that he takes AHS warranty jobs because he can't get any work on his own.

Showed up on time for initial visit and said it was freezing because filters were clogged. Claimed refrigerant was fine, then left with the deductible $. I cleaned all filters and outside coil. Still not working. Never responded to multiple messages over the following 2 weeks from both me and from warranty company. Had warranty company send a different provider who identified 3 lbs down on refrigerant. recharged and all is well now.

Description of Work: Service request was made through AHS( American Home Shield home Warranty) at 7Am, Denny responded late in the afternoon, appt set for the next day, within the AHS time requirement, 24/24, so 36 hrs before he arrived. He did repair the A/C system. | |In my opinion, AHS service is poor, Denny may be an A+ service provider on his own, with AHS customers, urgency is lacking. Local A/C providers acknowledge service requests promptly.

Very good service. Very competent and professional. Service was performed quickly. Did not show up first day as arranged. Provider was very apologetic and sincere for scheduling error. Provider the asked me what time was convenient for me for him to show up the next day. I requested 1 PM the next day. Provider showed up at 12:30 PM and was finished at 1:30PM Other than an honest scheduling error the service was excellent.
Description of Work: Replaced fuse on fan unit. Replaced starter capacitor on compressor. Tested Freon coolant levels and pressures.
