DRR Properties

It went great. The only thing was the cabinets were heavier than what they expected which made it harder for them. They cleaned up well afterwards. Anytime they were going to do anything they would find me to explain what they were going to do. They kept me in the loop. The total cost was around $500 which I felt was reasonable. I have recommended them to several neighbors.

In my opinion, the following is a fair assessment of the work provided to me by DRR Properties. The contractor, Rolando Lopez, arrived with a helper on the appointment date. We walked around the entire house and agreed on all the areas needing work. The contractor took few written notes but claimed he knew everything that had to be done. Mr. Lopez is a smooth talker and promised he would provide good quality, completed work on this project. After about 3 partial days of work on the house, DRR Properties claimed to have completed their work. However, when I inspected the house, about half of the tasks were partially completed, not even started, or done incorrectly. When I presented these facts to Mr. Lopez, he was combative and argumentative, and did not offer to fix any of the incompleted task for the originally quoted price. Instead, he demanded additional money to be paid in cash (and not by check, money order, or credit card) before he would perform any further work at the house. I did not agree to pay more than the originally quoted price for the work we originally agreed upon, so he never showed up again. I eventually paid a different handyman to complete the project that DRR Properties started but failed to complete. In my opinion, Angie's List customers can find a more honest, reputable, and competent handyman contractor than DRR Properties.

Rolando did a great job, clean, efficient and on time. I would hire him again and would also recommend him.
