Well the job got done. But BEWARE. Knowing I was on a tight schedule and needed it done right the first time he tried cheating and saving maybe 50$ by not installing a(MANDATROY) secondary ground rod or wire and was hoping that the inspector would think another ground rod that is tied to a different box would make it look like he did. Then he calls me from another location to tell me he thinks that he should have installed the secondary ground (which BTW IS MANDATORY and should have been done with out question) because the inspector would notice that there wasn't a 2nd ground wire tied into the panel when he opened it up to inspect it, and ASKS ME TO DO IT so it would pass since the inspector had already been called for the final. Then he made it sound like I was INCONVENIENCING HIM by asking him to come by first thing the following morning to fix the ground and he installed the panel in such a way that no wires could be ran into the box because a 2x6 was in the way and got upset I needed him to slide a piece of 3/4 plywood that I bought and cut and just needed him to slide behind it since he had the right bits to get to the screws(even that he tried half butting and didn't slide the board completely behind the panel of which is was cut perfectly to fit and I had to do myself later) and then do one other thing required by the inspector when it should have been done right the first time. And him being the owner of the company was griping about it to him helper thinkiing I couldn't hear him. He said that even if it hadn't passed the first time it was NO BIG DEAL cause the inspector would come back out for a second inspection and that I would just have to pay for it....YES I WOULD HAVE TO PAY for HIS mistake. Then at the end when everything is finally done right he says " now our business is done and not to call him again. I'm thinking no it should have been done yesterday when you where here the first time and probably cleared $900 out of the $1500 he charged me for 2 hours work. I priced out the materials at Lowes so I know about how much he made. Problem is in the city you can't do an electrical upgrade yourself and have to pay someone you hope does an honest job.
Description of Work: Bought a new home and needed the electric service panel upgraded.
